I enjoyed this next book in the Brotherhood Protectors series. It is partially set on a reservation. I enjoyed the characters and the plot was good. I was hooked from the first page. I’d recommend this series to anyone who likes romantic suspense books. I received an advanced reader copy and this is my voluntary review.
Ranger Creed is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Elle James. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. James has provided readers with a well-written book populated with a stellar cast of characters. Lani Running Bear is out of the military and is now an officer for Blackfeet Law Enforcement Service on the reservation. Zach returns to Montana when he leaves the Army and finds a spot with the Brotherhood Protectors. Lani and Zach’s story is packed with drama, humor, action, sexy bits and suspense. I only planned to read a couple pages of this book before bed…I ended up staying up to finish it. Ranger Creed is book 14 of the Brotherhood Protectors Series by can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Prolific Works. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Loved this story. It grabbed me at page one and didn’t let go. Lani and Zach’s story is steamy, action packed, suspenseful, and a page turner. These two are great together and I enjoyed their story very much!
Coming home from the military and becoming a civilian is always hard but for Lani she came home and went to work as a tribal police officer. Then Zach came home with a job with the Brotherhood Protectors. The chemistry between Zach and Lani is super. The story is enthralling and keeps you in it from start to finish. I highly recommend reading. If fact you should read the whole series. I received the book as an ARC for a honest review.
ARC review For honest review. Lani running bear is a blackfeet law enforcement officer on the reservation when she ends up with two murders and the elders call her off the case ,so she calls ex military friend Zechariah Jones who works for the brotherhood protectors to help her solve these murders while pretending to be engaded. Awesome story I love how this story draws you into the case. 10 stars
Lani has left her military career in the past and has returned to her hometown to serve and protect her people. While investigating a death she recruits a man from her past to pretend to be her fiancé and assist her with finding the person responsible before they strike again.
Zach has also left his military career in the past so when Lani needs help he doesn’t hesitate before joining forces and is determined to protect the woman he has never forgotten.
Intrigue, twists and heat as Lani and Zach must overcome obstacles both personally and professionally.
Lani Running Bear is a Native American of the Blackfeet Nation, she is also a US Army veteran, and a law enforcement officer. Zachariah Jones is a former US Army Ranger, a veteran, and is the newest member of the Brotherhood Protectors. He receives a call from Lani, the Military Police officer that busted him while they were both still active duty, and stationed at the same post in the Middle East. She is asking him for assistance in a murder investigation. Zach is intrigued, the murders have occurred on the Blackfeet reservation, he agrees to help Lani solve the murders, and watch her back.
Lani and Zach are intriguing, and compelling characters that are determined to find the person responsible for the murders. Exciting plot with plenty of action, suspense, and with fascinating twists in the plot. Fantastic!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Lani Running Bear, retired Army MP and tribal police officer of the Blackfeet Nation, is just finishing her police shift when she gets called to the trailer home of Mattie Lightfoot and her grandson Tyler. Mattie had returned home after working a night shift and found Luke dead on the floor of their trailer. Lani is saddened at Luke’s death and promises Mattie that she will find his killer. Then for some unknown reason Lani is taken off the case by the tribal leaders. Not happening! Lani calls Zachariah Jones who she once busted while they were both serving in the Army to come to the reservation and watch her back while she investigates on her own. Zach agrees and this turns out to be Zach’s first job for Brotherhood Protectors.
Ranger Creed by Elle James is the 14th. book in her Brotherhood Protectors series. I really liked that this story took place on the Blackfeet Nation reservation. Something different. I also enjoyed watching Lani and Zach as their relationship progressed. They have great chemistry and mutual trust. This is a great read. I am looking forward to more Brotherhood Protector stories.
I really enjoy the Brotherhood series and all the spin offs. This one took place on the reservation. Lani our Blackfeet native is an intelligent, strong, woman. She calls in Zachariah for help, an Army Ranger who she body slammed when she was an MP in the service, and he comes. Swooning here. A man who came when asked, who knew she was capable, and had her back, sigh. This starts with a death of a teenager, and she is pulled off the case. Just like every job, there is politics and they are clearly at work. There are a couple of herrings and possibilities, but I caught this one right in the beginning. I was confused at the reason behind the murders. The more I thought, the more I began to understand. This is another great book that is action packed, and still has that thread of information about our world. In this case, the reservation. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. Thank you for the opportunity to read this arc.
This excellent book delivers everything you’d expect if you have read any of the previous entries in this series. A well written, engaging plot is paired with likable characters to create a solid base for the entertaining story line. A blend of drama, suspense, action, mystery, danger, excitement, emotions and romance are skillfully woven throughout the book to capture and hold your attention as you enjoy this fun read. Of my own accord I am choosing to post a forthright review.
We are back in Montana and the Brotherhood Protectors.
This time the story belongs to former Army soldier Zach Jones. He has just joined the group and is waiting for his first assignment when he gets a call from former MP Lani Running Bear. A woman he met in Afghanistan when she arrested him in a bar. Even though the meeting was less than stellar, they found out they had lots in common. Both were from Montana and while Lani was a full fledged Native American of the Blackfeet Nation, Zach too had some Blackfeet Nation in him through his grandmother.
Lani, now a cop in the reservation, needs help in find out who killed the grandson of a friend and seeks the one man she knew she could trust.
This is the beginning of not only an investigation that gets more complicated by the minute as more deaths and threats occur, but also the beginning of a new relationship.
The plot was engaging, filled with whodunit. The characters were well developed and of course the possibility of romance was in the horizon.
Another well written story in this series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Loved this book. It captured me from the first page and didn’t put it down. Intrigue, second meeting, some heat, and of course the brotherhood. Definitely recommend reading. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
