In this exquisite, emotionally rich novel, New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Berg offers a deeply satisfying story about the bonds of love and the balm of friendship. A young man named Jay lies in a coma after suffering a freak accident, and his wife, Lainey, is the only one who believes he will recover. She sits at his bedside, bringing him reminders of the ordinary life they shared: … shared: fragrant flowers, his children’s drawings, his own softly textured shirt. When Lainey’s faith in his recovery falters, she is sustained by two women, Alice and Evie, who teach her about the endurance of friendship—and the genuine power of hope. Filled with beautiful writing and truths about life, Range of Motion is hard to put down and impossible to forget.

Elizabeth Berg is one of my favorite authors. Her characters are real and you’ll miss them when you’ve finished her books because they seem like neighbors. She handles the issues of life with clarity, compassion and humor. I’ve red them all and can’t wait for the next!
Elizabeth Berg writes wonderful, poignant books. Her subject matter is often about huge health challenges in the life of one of her characters, and the way they find the strength to endure. She also includes strong supporting characters who help by offering sustenance . She is clearly is a person who believes in the healing power of love.
I loved this book, as I do all of Elizabeth Berg’s writing. The ending is not believable and up to her usual talent…..but i still loved the book until then.
I enjoyed it. At first I thought it was a memoir. I guess because it seemed so realistic and rang so true.
I think this book is a fairy tale . This does not happen in real life. If there is brain surgeryy performed the patient is going to have deficits. Very unrealistic story and for those of us who have personal experience, an offensive story.
Loved this book and loved the amazing characters!
This is an exquisite book. I love Elizabeth Berg’s writing, but I think this is one of her best. It’s a short book, very spare, but every word matters. The characters are painted so well and the complicated emotions are well rendered. It’s a tough situation and pretty much all the action takes place in a nursing home and through back story, and …
This was the first Elizabeth Berg book that I read and I loved the characters so much. Being a speech pathologist, I loved the rehabilitation aspect of the story.
I love all of her books. The characters became your best friends and you hate for her books to end, as your feel an actual loss of your friends

I always love the characters presented by Elizabeth Berg. I enjoy her books.
Enjoyable. I was surprised it was written by a nurs as it is an unrealistic account of a coma.
