Miles is a pro-snowboarder living life one thrill at a time. His best friend was also his lover, can he cope with losing both?KristaMy stomach leaps in the way it does when I see him. It’s like the first time I’ve laid eyes on him. Every. Damn. Time. The way he kisses me like there’s no-one else there. And my senses are so refined to him, all he has to do is threaten to touch me and I come undone.… all he has to do is threaten to touch me and I come undone.
But then, when he casually admits he doesn’t remember the first day we met, and isn’t interested in planning our future. I bail out.
Miles
Our kisses are long and slow, perfected over the last thirteen years. Each one indulged in as if it is our first… or last.
We don’t have a conventional relationship—I don’t leave her soppy little notes or buy her flowers. But she makes me whole and I’m lost without her.
But she’s gone now.
And bile sours my mouth when I picture them kissing, and nearly throw up when I think of her confiding in him about stuff that matters to her.
Because that should be me.
Her best friend.

While Miles & Krista have been each other’s everything for a long time, it is getting old for her. Longing a permancy in their relationship & also the fact this ‘manchild’ needs to grow up. But Miles wants to continue things the way they are & doesnt see or want to grow up.
A big breakup sends Krista into the arms of George, a skier who is ‘hotel royalty’. But is this the life she actually wants & will this make Miles see his lifestyle differently? That is for you to find out by reading this.
Overall I had the feels for this couple & didn’t gel so much with George. Maybe this was how it was meant to be?

An Absolutely Fantastic Second Chance Romance! From start to finish I was captivated with the overall quality of this book, the wonderful story line that has some drama, mistakes, intrigue, ups and downs, humour, witty banter, and very interesting characters – Miles and Krista are the perfect couple; their chemistry is off the charts. Definitely recommended.

Miles and Krista have a bond that brings them back to one another. When Krista feels there has to be more than competitive skiing and snowboarding, Miles is against even the thought of doing anything else or even a plan for the future. Krista ventures out only to discover what her and Miles have isn’t perfect but it works for them. Miles takes heed of what Krista wants and puts it into action for their happily ever after. I received an ARC of this and volunteered to review it.
Krista and Miles have been BFFs with benefits for years. Thirteen years to be exact. Krista definitely loves Miles, but he is immature and happy with the way things are. When Krista pressures him to decide what their future will be, he does his typical avoidance thing and she finally decides she’s done.
What was interesting in this story is where Krista seemed like the mature one, her hurt at being rejected by Miles had her rebounding with another man. And even though Miles gets drunk and ends up being cared for by another woman, he never crossed the line like Krista did.
This breakup was just what Miles needed to grow up and make some decisions about his future. Krista was always his ace in the hole and he had grown spoiled and complacent. He probably wouldn’t have changed if Krista had stayed with him. I hate cheating, so Kudos to the author for writing this in a way that had Miles realize he played a part in her betrayal, and giving him a forgiving heart to have Krista back. Krista never shirked her responsibilities in her stupid decisions, and she had a bit of growing up to do also. After experiencing everything she thought she wanted with George fall flat in comparison to what she already had with Miles, she knew the huge mistakes she made. I really appreciated the author in having Miles stay faithful to Krista.

Wow what a story, first props to Miles for not giving up. Second shame on Krista for giving up.
Miles yes didn’t come around until he realized that Krista had moved on with George. But he kinda deserved her leaving him when he would not listen to her when she needed a plan for after their snowboarding careers weren’t there for them to fall back on. Two months is all it took for Krista to realize what a fool she har been in more ways then one, she thought that Miles had moved on with Reece who in fact was just cleaning his chalet since his maid quite but Krista thought she saw them intimate in his room but Reece was helping a drunk and heartbroken Miles to his bed, alone. But that is the straw that sent Krista into the waiting arms of George the control freak. Dee here’s were I cried because she has only been with Miles for thirteen years and now she has tarnished herself with another mans touch and scent. Poor Miles went without for the whole two months Krista was getting it on with George. So they try back together with a flare and an epilogue to confuse the masses.

One true love.
Miles and Krista have been together since they were teenagers; a bond of friendship and love formed out of shared hardship.
But things change when Krista decides she wants their future to be more defined.
They will both have to struggle and look inside themselves to make some changes to learn that life is really about compromise in order to get to their HEA.
