They think they’ve lost everything. But then they find each other.
RAINE
I’m the clichéd “poor little rich boy”
I have everything I want, but nothing I need
I get high to escape the lows of my past
Yet there’s no escaping the monster in the mirror
I’ve always been about taking, until I took too much
They paid the price, and it’s a debt I can never repay
So I’m killing myself slowly
… paid the price, and it’s a debt I can never repay
So I’m killing myself slowly
Because I can’t bring myself to end it fast
NOA
I know what it is to have loved and lost
Now I’m slowly picking up the pieces of my life
I should put my needs first, but that’s not me
If someone’s broken I need to fix them
Even if I get hurt along the way
Nobody should feel like they want to die
My love alone wasn’t enough before
So this time I’m determined to be a reason to live

Raine is a challenging character with his over-the-top, I don’t care attitude that had me cringing more than once. But at the same time, I could tell that he carries deep pain that he doesn’t want anyone to see. His coping mechanisms are intense. In need of a new PA, Noa shows up at his office but he expects a man. Noa has incredible strength which she needs to deal with Raine’s every changing mood. She is venturing back into the workplace and I’m not sure working for crazy man Raine is the best plan but she finds the tenacity to dig in and fight. When he realizes she is a graphic artist, what was a temp PA job has the potential to be a career. The challenge, will Raine screw it up since he can’t seem to keep his pants zipped? Will Noa cave to his turbulent demands and expectations? Or will two broken souls find love and redemption?
INCREDIBLE DAMAGED PERFECTION!
This was beyond my expectations and more. Its moving heart pounding pages kept me infused and teary eyed and then add in the hot chemistry mixed with angst making for pure perfection in this incredible page turner that is one heck of a emotionally fueled intense ride that is worth every single star and more.
YOU…I wa…YOU…I thi…Oh, man…Lady!!! Raine (Yep, this was my exact thought process when I finished Raine) What. A. Journey!
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Raine and Noa’s story. Raine is the dynamic, creative, and is the crazy one of the group. Noa works as a temp and is assigned to be Raine’s PA for 1 month, which creates many challenges for her. These two are bother broken souls, who in turn heal each other. This is a well written story which is intense, emotional, and heartbreaking, and filled with witty banter, humour, guilt, and with relatable characters. This talented author has penned an awesome story and I cannot wait to read more from her. I recommend for all readers.
Raine is one of the 4 guys that make up BR&ND. He is demanding, cruel, Unapologetic, a genius, selfish, and has bad habits. The world revolves around him. Noa is his temp PA. She is a nervous serious person, complete opposite of Raine. When they pair up, it turns into a disaster.
This is an emotional read and has you wondering when Raine will finally wake up. We read in detail what he is doing to himself and others. At times it was painful to read because I felt all of the characters emotions. I enjoyed the storyline. It had a surprise or two.

Arrgghhhh!!! Damn you MV Ellis! You sure know how to drag me from pillar to post with your characters. Girl, I’m spent with this one!
This “God of the Fifth Floor” is more of a demon! Raine Davies is going to have you cursing him and wanting to wrap your hands around his neck and tug him in for a searing kiss all in one swift movement!
He is certainly a handful, and he does not take it easy on his unsuspecting gentle new PA Noa.
Raine is damaged, that’s for sure; but I wasn’t sure I could forgive him the brutal behaviour he dishes out in this story and I equally wasn’t certain I could respect Noa for putting up with it.
But I did, and likely you will too, because that is how well this author writes these characters and their stories.
She endears them to you in how she crafts them and introduces us to them, unfolding their lives and building their relationships with great care and skill, that you can’t help but love and travel their journey with them.
It certainly doesn’t hurt that she also writes some wickedly sexy scenes, and this story is chock full of them, this couple burns up the pages.
Such a great story!! I’m absolutely loving the GOTFF and the ad world of BR&ND, and can’t wait for Dillon and Nate’s stories!!
Wow this book took me on quite a journey. The intense chemistry between Raine and Noa was off the charts. With every page I turned, I braced myself for every twist and turn and there were plenty of them! As always, Ellis weaves a strong emotional narrative while still tantalizing the senses with plenty of hot and steamy romance! Can’t wait to read the next one!

4.5 Review
Loved this story of Raine and Noa. Two broken people helping to heal each other.
Raine had everything he wanted but not what he needed. His craziness took us on a rollercoaster of emptiness.
Now seems strong but is barely holding on. She also has this need to help anyone who may seem broken.
I loved the way these two found each other. This book took me on highs and lows, and the sex scenes… HOT!
Love this series and can’t wait to see what comes next. Looking forward to Dillon and Nate’s stories.

This is the second book in the God’s of the fifth floor, but can be read as a standalone.
I loved Raine and Noa’s story. It was intense, emotional, and heartbreaking.
Raine was a total jerk when Noa showed up as his new PA since he thought she was a guy because of her name. He only cared about drinking, doing drugs, and having sex once every one left the office for the day. He was broken and had so much guilt over his past.
Noa was broken from past events and just trying to get back on her feet.
I loved the banter between Raine and Noa. They had strong chemistry right from their first meeting.
I love how Raine loves to annoy the other guys. How he works Nate up just to see him explode. I cannot wait for Nate and Dillons book.
That epilogue Ms. Ellis
I definitely recommend this book

This is a fairly new to me author and everything I have read so far has been wonderful. The story and the characters were amazing. I look forward to reading much more from this author.

I’m loving this series and this book was amazing! I knew there was more to Raine than what we could see and my heart went out to him. Noa was perfect for him and didn’t take any rubbish he gave her and stuck up for herself.
But my goodness the epilogue!!! I was ready to throw my kindle!! Still absolutely loved it though! Can’t wait for Nate and Dillon’s books!!
*You will recognise one of the characters from MV Ellis’ Rough Ink Series and when I clicked it fell in to place (as I had forgotten so loved it!). It is not necessary to read that series first but I would recommend reading them as they are really good books!!
This was quite an intense read as Raine is a very difficult, creative character. He is summed quite well throughout the book, depending on where his moods take him. Booze, women & drugs get him through his day.
Due to his unpredictability & actions his partners have specified that his PA only can be a male. However that all changes when Noa turns out to be a female. There is a lot of back & forth between these two & the sexual chemistry is intense.
They both have very difficult pasts which haunt them. When they finally open up to each other it is an overload of emotions unleashed. Raine also has another issue which he hasn’t divulged but of course Noa finds out.
There is quite a lot going on & it is a roller coaster ride for this couple & the reader. 4.5*
I was given an ARC from the author for an honest review.
WOW! What an emotional roller coaster! I was NOT expecting to feel so strongly for Raine and Noa and their trials and tribulations. While its an undeniably hot book, your blood will be pumping for a different reason too as these two sort through life’s problems that you won’t see coming. I didnt much care for Raine at first, I mean even he says he is NOT a good guy, but by the time he starts to forgive himself, you’ll start to forgive him as well. Noa was a trip and I love her sarcasm and quick wit. Really just a great book from start to finish!
This was a great story and a very enjoyable read. This is an intense story about two damaged souls trying to survive. The main characters have amazing chemistry together. MV Ellis always delivers incredible stories. You need to read this book. You won’t be disappointed.

Love this series. This is the #2 book in this series and is Raine’s story. This book will make your head spin and keep you hooked all the way through.
Raine I think you were made for me, talk about ticking all the boxes.
He is this dynamic creative ad man, hotter than hades, oozing charisma and arrogance, with his long blond curls, bright-blue eyes and broad shoulders he’s rocking that lean, casual surfer-dude look.
Raine is one of the four Gods of the Fifth Floor. These guys are tight. Best friends from college, now in business together running an Advertising Agency, their wit and banter is priceless. As is their bond as brothers.
So, this journey is Raine’s story you will love to hate him but then just love him. It brought to mind the saying “sunshine always follows rain” and in this case the sunshine is in the form of Noa.
I genuinely adored the stunning Noa she was such a beautiful character. She was compassionate with an inner strength and knew how to read a situation really well. I loved her internal dialogue it brought so many smiles to my face I could totally relate.
It all starts when she fronts for a new temping job that goes south when Noa should have been “Noah”.
It is a fantastic read, I thoroughly enjoyed the highs and lows, not to mention some hot sex scenes, it all flowed nicely.
“My body kicked into gear, automatically syncing with the rhythm and pace he set. I writhed against him, praising every deity on the planet, especially the god of tongue jewelry. I would be making a substantial offering to her after I recovered from the mind-bending orgasm, she was about to gift me.”
This author is truly a favourite, her ability to bring the laughs and tears is always on point and I knew from Beck this was going to be a killer hot series but this one went to next level. Try and keep your cheeks dry! Bring on Nate and Dillon!!!
