In this #1 New York Times bestselling John Clark thriller, author Tom Clancy takes readers into the shadowy world of anti-terrorism and gets closer to reality than any government would care to admit… Ex-Navy SEAL John Clark has been named the head of Rainbow, an international task force dedicated to combating terrorism. In a trial by fire, Clark is confronted with a violent chain of seemingly … violent chain of seemingly separate international incidents. But there is no way to predict the real threat: a group of terrorists like none the world has ever encountered, a band of men and women so extreme that their success could literally mean the end of life on earth as we know it.

Tom is always there with realitic plots on all his book. He brings his own experience to the table. He is good, bottom line.
To long and drawn out to keep me interested, didn’t like it, sorry folks
Thoroughly enjoyed the continuing saga of these Clancy favorites!
Excellent high action book! I couldn’t put it down.
I consider Rainbow Six the forerunner to all the Spec-open team books out there today. And one of Mr. Clancy’s best. I remember thinking, at the time I read it that he was probably giving away secrets.
UNFORTUNATELY TOO SCARY AS THESE BAD GUYS SEEM ALL TO POSSIBLE.
As in all his books the story is realistic and actioned packed.
this was not one of my favorite Tom Clancy books. It was too predictable and too unrealistic for me. The story line has lots of potential, but I think it missed the mark
Clancy at his best.
Really enjoyed the character development and the unique plot concept. Made me think….
Love clancy’s Writing.
this is the 3rd time I’ve read this book since it first came out in 1996, and its 5 star every time. I think its one of Clancy’s best books, right up there with “Without Remorse”
Plenty of action and a good plot
Long book, very repetitive poorly developed character motivations. Could have been half the length.
Too predictable. Not a great read.
Another long read by Clancy. There was too much useless repetitive information.
Good story
Typical Clancey
Favorite character, favorite author. What more could one ask?
I really did not like it. Far too wordy. Though being wordy is a Clancy characteristic, this book is worse than others
