This, as with all the books in the David Wolf series, takes the police procedural to the next level. An original setting, well-plotted and with interesting, and very human, characters. Highly recommended for mystery lovers!
I have read all of the David Wolf book series…I absolutely adore the characters and the stories in each book…I said “action-packed although not action like a Jack Reacher novel, but action and inter-action with some good characters and real settings. Having lived in the mountains of Colorado years ago, it is a treat to know the places and sights and weather described in the book. Start the series from the beginning, it will grab you!
I like this whole series. This one was a bit out of the norm for the series, but I liked the turn. I wasn’t happy with the ending, but I get why it needed to happen. Now, on to Book 12
Wow…Agent Luke led villains to David Wolf and he gets embroiled in..OOPS forgot..NO SPOILERS…suffice it to say that David Wolf takes a …OOPS…NOT going to DO those spoilers! Instead I will say RAIN is literally full of rain’s consequences for a whole lot of characters in a GREAT BOOK. This reader felt David Wolf’s PAIN(S). But then so did a lot of the other characters as well!! Action packed doesn’t begin to cover RAIN. What a story by a great Author, Jeff Carson. RAIN REIGNS RATED as yet another stupendously, and wonderful read in Author Jeff Carson’s Mystery Thriller Series!! Another piece of my heart went out to David Wolf in RAIN. What a great series this Mystery Thriller Series has turned out to be!! A DO.NOT.MISS.SERIES for sure!! The reader just keeps on being gifted by this incredible Author, Jeff Carson! I’m ALL IN now, and knee deep in some of the best reading I have ever encountered. Grab this series folks…it is a WIN WIN and the only losses are that some characters…OOPS…trying to do spoilers again. NOT. Just read RAIN. You won’t ever be sorry with this Mystery Thriller Series book that Author Jeff Carson has penned so very very well!! ENJOY!!!
Love the characters
The sheriff in this book reminds me of the Longmire television series. Each book gets better and makes you wait for the next one.
This book is one in a twelve book series and I highly recommend all twelve!! The characters seem so real and you find yourself routing for them especially David Wolf. You follow him through his life, his ups and downs. I couldn’t put them down! Highly, highly recommend the series!! Keep writing Jeff!
What a rollercoaster ride during this book, wow. A woman who Wolf use knew is found at accident sight in a stolen car but she’s an FBI agent. When she comes to Luke can’t remember what happened recently, doesn’t know why she came to Colorado maybe it is for Wolf’s wedding in 2 days. Her SAC shows up and wants to take her home to Seattle. Wolf says he’s going with them to find out what really happened.
I read all of Jeff Carson books
Love this series!
My least favorite ending of all the books in this series.
Love all the Wolf books.
Jeff Carson always provides a good read. Rain, the latest in the David Wolfe series is no exception. An old friend is in trouble and Wolfe leaves town the day before his wedding.
An old FBI friend shows up in Rocky Points after having a car wreck on way into town. Thing is, total memory loss. No idea why here or why now. When FBI shows up and whisks this agent back to Everett, Washington, Wolfe goes along to see what is happening. The fact the the injured FBI agent is an old girlfriend doesn’t help matters with his intended, Lauren and leaving town before the wedding shocks the entire town.
What is going on? Why did she drive 18hours to get to Wolfe? Who shot her? Why does she have ligature marks on her wrists?
