Lieutenant Laahn Ĉortez is about to sit down to his well-deserved supper when destiny hits—winged, scaled and more than a little tipsy.Rago is a fated mates/forced proximity short story from The Order Universe, featuring a puffing dragon shifter and a romp in the fencing hall.
A short but seet shifter novella
Lieutenant Laahn Cortez has to leave his well-earned supper as the Captain summons him.
Sargent Rago is tipsy and out of control, but some of the army men lock him in the fencing room as he’s transformed into his shifter form, a dragon.
Short but sweet with hot sex.
I loved Michael Fox’s narration, clean, easy to listen and very pleasant on the ears, I listened at 1.10 speed on Audible.

For a short story, it packs quite a bit. Laahan, poor soul, doesn’t get to eat his dinner (which sounded delicious). Instead he’s summoned to help out with an unruly person. What transpires is a story of mates meeting and bonding in the sweetest, and sometimes funny, way. Rago and Laahan are a delight.
Michael Fox is really good, I really enjoyed listening to his narration and happy to see that he’s done some of her other stories, yay!
Kasia Bacon leaves me wanting more without making me feel like she failed to write a complete story.
This is a short story in the M/M fantasy romance Orders Universe, yet stands completely on its own. Perfect if you enjoy fated mates and dragon shifters. Entirely from Laahn’s first person perspective, this adorable and steamy short features his meeting with Rago.
Michael Fox’s narration was perfect. He did a great job giving each character a unique voice as well as evoking all the emotions.
As someone just starting to dip into Kasia Bacon’s Order Universe, this author has completely captivated me with her creative fantasy stories. Stunning descriptions of the physical combined with sensual and erotic romance, make even the shortest stories come to life in the most enjoyable way.
The audio version of Rago is performed by Michael Fox. A marvelous fit for these characters, Mr. Fox’s smooth, rich voice captures every bit of emotion and makes the most of Ms. Bacon’s clever sense of humor.
I hope every one of Kasia Bacon’s books come out in audio sooner rather than later, but in the meantime I’m jumping in with both feet!
5 Stars!
I’m a huge Kasia Bacon fan and this book is just another reason why. She’s the queen of short stories that despite their length actually feel complete and while satisfying, they leave you wanting more of this fantastic world she’s created and the amazing characters we find in them.
In this case, we met Rago, the dragon and his mate, Laahn, who were just adorable and funny and so very hot together. I loved the whole fated mated/forced proximity tropes Ms. Bacon explored.
This was just a perfect bite of shifter goodness and a great listen. Michael Fox’s voice and his British accent are delicious and did justice to Rago, Laahn and Kasia Bacon’s exquisite writing. Definitely recommendable!
This little short novella was a very good book between a man and a male Dragon shifter. It was a good steamy romance and a little funny on the side. It was a fun little book. I loved it!!
I just love Kasia’s words! She has a way of packing so much emotion into so few words. This short story was steamy and fun with just the right amount of humour thrown in. What’s better than a tipsy dragon shifter? Not much. Kasia’s books are always such a joy to read.
Village party
Kasia Bacon has a way with words that tickles and thrills me and she paints such a vivid, beautiful world with her books. Talk about being thrust into love and who wouldn’t fall in love with a tipsy dragon. Everyone should wake up the way Laahn and Rago do, so sexy. My favorite thing about shifters are their possessive nature and how strongly they love. Rago and Laahn have all of that plus humor, sweetness and lots of heat.
