Seventeen years on the job, I still remember my first day like it was yesterday. I fixed my probie patch to my uniform, strapped on my gear and ran to catch the Staten Island Ferry, making my way to the burning towers. My boots pounded the pavement of lower Manhattan as the dire need to save lives pulsated through my veins. It was the day I became a hero.Throughout my career, I often thought about … thought about the man I saved that day. I wondered about his life. If he had eventually married and had a family of his own. I never expected to find the answers.
Meeting her was a twist of fate.
Lying to her was my choice.
But falling in love with her was beyond my control.

The events of 9-11 will be forever firmly embedded in my mind. The horrors of that day still haunt me and I both love and hate reading stories that revolve around its theme. However, Raging Inferno was one to love because on that day, like so many first responders, Jimmy Casale became a hero. While he may be a fictional character, he encapsulated everything I believed in on that day – bravery, determination, fighting in the face of utter hopelessness, and the unity of people in the middle of such devastation.
What else is there really to say? Janine Infante Bosco’s writing was as brilliant as ever. This story that she wove left me spellbound from beginning to end. I was caught up in the drama of Jimmy’s life and was hoping he would get a truly happy ending. I wasn’t Melissa’s biggest fan, especially with her lash out against the true hero of this story, but she was who Jimmy wanted so I was rooting for them.
This is a story of love lost, love found, and the beauty of second chances. Jimmy was a firefighter with a heart of gold, he was a wonderful father, an honorable and trustworthy and amazing man, and he was the picture of what is good in this world.
Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this book follows Jimmy and Melissa as they fall in love and realize that fate has had a large role in their lives and bringing them together.
I loved Jimmy who is the epitome of a NYC Italian firefighter. He even has a Joey Tribiani “How you doin’?” moment. Melissa has not had the easiest time in the last few years. I loved her strength and ability to take the time she needed before moving forward from the tragedy of her past.
Though there were some minor proofreading and timeline errors to the story, there was more to love than to criticize. I love the thread of fate that ties these two characters together. I love that their story is rooted in a timeline that I can appreciate. I adore the message that life is too short to waste not loving those who are connected to you. I felt drawn in by the concept of this story and I thoroughly enjoyed the depth of characters created in a a relatively short book. There was a lot of emotion, steam, and romance in this story. This was my first book by this author in preparation of meeting her in Philadelphia at Indies Invade Philly. I was completely captured by her story telling and I cannot wait to meet her and read more of her work.

Raging Inferno
This Book is about second chances, and fate. You never know what life have in store for you, you take the good with the bad as long as you have the love of your life by your side, well done author Janine Infante Bosco
Once again, Janine you wrote another great, emotional story that pulls at your heart strings. This story hit extremely close to home due to the events touched upon in the first few chapters. I have witnessed this first hand on the day it happened and to read it now in this story brought tears to my eyes. It brings out every emotion. I love how you see this through someone’s eyes that was directly involved. Second chance love story filled with heartache, tragedy & hope.
I don’t even know where to begin. Once I started this, there was no putting it down, this is a book you read in one sitting. It’s 9/16/19 and the 18th anniversary just passed so emotions are high, even 18 years later, it seems like just yesterday. This book is a nod to those who always answer the call, no matter what, no matter what business they may leave unfinished or who they may leave behind, they don their gear and roll out. For those men and women, thank you doesn’t seem to be enough.
The story of Jimmy and Melissa tugs at your heart, makes you smile, frustrates the bejeezus out of you and above all gives you hope. Hope that it’s not too late, that there is a second chance out there, hope for a future filled with everything you thought may have passed you by, hope for forever.
This story is centered around things that happened on 9/11. I’m one of those people whose heart hurts every year on the 9/11 anniversary and usually watch all of the shows about 9/11. This year there was one documentary about the survivors of both towers, the people they met on that day and how many of them still maintained relationships. In this story, Jimmy saves a man and they maintain contact periodically through the years. Seventeen years later fate throws Jimmy together with the man’s fiance. I’m not going to give too many details here, but suffice it to say I loved the story, as well the references to the impact of 9/11 on everyday people’s life. Bosco’s writing, as usual, brings those emotions to the surface as she writes about love, hardships and faith. The hero will make you wish you had one just like him. I highly recommend this book.
This one will have a Raging Inferno happening in your heart as well as your panties!!
Firefighter, Dad, man in love are all things that describe Jimmy Casale, but perhaps the best description in MAN!!
Destiny has a funny way of working and theirs was 17 years in the making!
You don’t want to miss this one!!
Heartwarming, healing and heat!!!
OMG! From page one, Raging Inferno just ripped through my memories and brought me back to that heart wrenching day that forever impacted how so many of us looked at the world through the eyes of innocence.
This is a wonderful story of survival and second chances, beautifully written and one that will stick with me for a long time.
Some say it is luck that has us crossings paths with others. In the book, It said that it was fate that brought Jimmy not only into Christopher’s life on that horrific day, but into Melissa’s life years later. I agree. Melissa has been dealt a tragic card, but fate is now finally ready to deal her the cards of hope, healing and love. She just has to take the leap and open her heart to to Jimmy and the possibility that she can experience love again.
Raging Inferno was a heartfelt novel that will evoke a range of emotions from you. Previously published as a novella in the Burn Me Anthology, this is the full length conclusion to Jimmy and Melissa story. Centered round 9/11, the novel will give you all the feels. The story is about the mysteries of fate, love, loss, and second chances. Jimmy and Melissa’s well-written love story will grab your attention and hold it until the very end by which time you will be firm believer in fate. I loved this novel. It was a phenomenal read and I would highly recommend it.
Raging Inferno is one of love, loss, fate, destiny and risk. This is an absolutely beautiful story of two people who are the perfect example of six degrees of separation. A story that will break your heart and remind you to always tell the ones you care about how much you love them because it might just be the last words that are spoken. Jimmy and Melissa’s story will grip you from the start, it will hold your heart and soul captive and it will light you up like the 4th of July. The words of this story will wind themselves around you and burrow deep under your skin. This book made me cry, it tore me to pieces but it filled me with hope and comfort. An inspirational story that shows us that all is not lost and sometimes the biggest heartaches in life lead us to the path we were destined for. Raging Inferno will also make you smile, having you laughing like no other and will confirm what we all suspected, fireman do indeed like it hot and just a little dirty.
