A tomboy tames the cocky cowboy next door in Wall Street Journal and Washington Post bestselling author Lauren Landish’s forbidden romance.Luke is damn near invisible, or at least that’s how he usually feels. He takes care of things around the ranch before his boss-brother even knows there’s a problem, and no one even notices when he’s done. But when he finds Shayanne sitting in a tree on his … Shayanne sitting in a tree on his property, that all changes. She sees him and doesn’t seem to mind his gruff cowboy ways and dirty jokes that tease and test them both.
Shayanne is a tomboy cowgirl down to her boots, and a damn adult, regardless of whether her father and brothers agree. She escapes their smothering love and expectations to the furthest pasture and finds . . . Luke. And though their families have a rivalry worthy of the Hatfields & McCoys, she wants him. She wants him to take her and make her his woman, because in her heart, she already is.
Can Luke mediate the long-standing anger between the two families to get his girl, and can Shayanne finally be an adult in her family’s eyes, able to choose a future with a man they don’t want her to have?
**Racing Hearts is a full-length Romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger. It can be read as a standalone.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Wow 10 stars of Bennett and Tanner fued , but when Shayanne and Luke get together it brings two family’s to one now there is james/ Sophie , Mark /katelyn, shayanne /luke , jake/ roxy, brody, bobby, Bruce and momma Louise and a new generation Cindy louis. I can’t wait to hear about the boys that are single because of there as awesome as the others. I’ll be ready to read more. Great job.
Shay is monopolized by her family and kinda wants to break free. She is a strong and independent spirit… a real tomboy…
Luke is her equivalent counterpart. He is calm and reserved, very observant and knows exactly what he wants …
I loved these characters, the storyline with its many twists and the many different emotions… a world of emotions to be precise…
There are parts with sizzling hot chemistry that alternate with tender moments…
There is bantering and fun…
This book truly sent me on an emotional rollercoaster ride… I laughed out loud and cried… I smiled and wanted to yell at someone, mostly at Ms. Landish because of all the twists she came up with…
This book is as much a page turner as the previous novels in this amazing series!
The last of the Bennett siblings finds their HEA and what a story it was! It was sweet, sexy and so sensual that you won’t stop reading until the end. Luke and Shayanne was made to be together, their forbidden love was heart felt and their journey was filled with love. I enjoyed their sizzling loving and their will to be together. This is a definite must read from an author who does not disappoint.
Racing Hearts is book 3 in the Bennet Boys Ranch series by Lauren Landish. This is Luke and Shayanne’s story. Their families have a long time hate for each and they should stay away from each other but their chemistry draws them together. Their romance has lots of twist and turns and things they have to overcome but so worth it. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
I love the Bennett boys. And I loved Luke and Shayanne story. It’s one of old time family feuds and two people who connect despite the feud.
Luke is amazing, a true family man, his brothers and his mom are his priority. He’s older than Shayanne- has know her forever but now sees how she has grown up!
Shayanne- a true family girl. Takes are of her brothers and dad after the lose of her mother.
The connection and chemistry with Shayanne and Luke is amazing. They are honest and true to themselves and each other!
Lauren Landish writes another incredible book of characters we love, of loving Shayanne’s brothers and Mama Bennett- the extended epilogue from her POV is book perfection!
If you are looking for a good cowgirl/cowboy romance, this is your book! Shayanne most definitely has her girly side, but she is cowgirl through and through. But Luke loves her that way. Their families feuding is a bit of an issue, but these two stand united to deal with Shayanne’s hot head brother. This book was a true page-turner that I couldn’t put down. From amazing characters to an amazing story, you will definitely not be sorry to read this book!
Could the riff between the Bennett and Tannen clans get any worse? There wasn’t always bad blood between the neighboring families but the tensions have been running high more recently. Shayanne Tannen is an adult but doesn’t always feel she’s being treated that way. She’s always been seen as the ‘girl’. She holds no ill will towards the Bennett family and isn’t really sure why they are the enemy in her Daddy’s eyes.
Luke Bennett is the middle son next door. He breeds and trains horses which takes him away from the family ranch often. While out one night with his brother and sister-in-law, Luke dances with Shayanne. He remembers her as the little girl she once was and is noticing for the first time how much of a woman she has grown up to be.
Can they make something of their relationship or will the two families try to keep them apart? This was a very good book and I enjoyed seeing their perspective of the family rivalries. Looking forward to hearing more about the Tannen brothers in the future. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
This is the first book I read by this author even though I have been following for a while. I don’t know what took me so long because now I am hooked. This was so good. Shay and were so hot and steamy and all kinds of panty-melting. The story was intriguing, sweet, funny, and oh so steamy! Now I will have to go back and read the previous stories in this series.

Heartwarming country romance with strong family values
Shayanne is the glue that holds her Tannen family together, and Luke is the last remaining single Bennett brother. Sounds like a perfect match, except for the years-long feud between their families. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote these two characters as being completely committed to their family’s ranches and yet they’re also free-spirited rebels in their own way. They really are perfect for each other, and the reader could feel that right from the start.
Even so, there are a lot of obstacles in their way, and this story was told with lots of humor and heart, plenty of steam, and a rare compassion even in the worst of the circumstances. This story is deeper than just a couple linking their respective families together. It’s an all-encompassing look at what it takes to run a family ranch and how the ranch itself runs the family, and how family is defined as much by the people we choose as by the folks we’re related to.
I haven’t read either of the earlier books in this series, and this is such a well-written standalone that I didn’t need to. The earlier Bennett couples are given plenty of air-time here, too, for those who want updates on the familiar characters. This was a terrific story, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves cowboy romances. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Audio/Ebook Review: Racing Hearts (Bennett Boys Ranch, #3) by Lauren Landish (author), Melissa Moran (narrator), Lance Greenfield (narrator)
Leave it to me to come in at the halfway mark of what looks to be a sizzling charmer. Racing Hearts is what addiction is all about. Luke and Shayanne are a couple worth sinking your heart into. Landish puts an abundance of feeling onto a minute canvas and delivers larger than life characters. The beauty of Lauren Landish is that she finds vulnerability in the harshness of a moment. Racing Hearts highlights the flaws of the soul with a far from perfect romance. Luke and Shayanne are blind to the traits that make them beautiful. Caught up in a feud that’s beyond their control and emotions both are scared to reveal, each has to let their heart speak for them and drown out the rest of the world. Soulful meets sensitive and finds sensuality. Having had the pleasure of discovering Shayanne and Luke in audio and print, I never grow tired of visiting with this spirited duo. Moran and Greenfield take on an already spirited couple and show readers just how much more there is to love about them.
ALL THE FEELS! This book is Luke’s book and what an amazing heartfelt read! Gahhhh…I can’t stop thinking about it.
My favorite of the series and this book is HAWT! Sexy times will make you blush and need a fan. These two were made for each other. The unlikely pair fit so well!!
Luke Bennett isn’t always home on the ranch. But after coming home after a trip he stops by the bar and finally sees that Shayanne Tannen has definitely grown up.
When the unexpected happens Luke and Shayanne’s relationship is out in the open. The rivalry between the two families makes this pretty rough.
But when the time comes for these two families to clean the slate, they are there for each other when times are truly rough.
I would highly recommend this to any romance lover!
I’ve fallen ass over teakettle for this book!! Shayanne Tannen is a badass tomboy firecracker and she’s totally off limits. The only way to get to her, if your last name is Bennett, is over the dead bodies of her father and 3 brothers. Does that stop sexy as sin cowboy Luke Bennett? Absolutely not. Luke a self proclaimed bachelor loves his job even though it keeps him on the road and away from his family’s ranch. His priorities change when he gets reacquainted with his not-a-little-girl-anymore-sexy-as-hell-neighbor Shayanne. The thing I love most about this book is the lack of unnecessary drama, instead you have two people who slowly and sexily fall head over heals in love with each other. It’s sexy sweet goodness that makes for an incredible book.

It’s 3:27 AM and I find myself waking up with thoughts of Lauren Landish’s Racing Hearts, the third book on the Bennett Boys Ranch.
I search through Amazon for Mark and James’ stories, and I see that I already have them on my kindle, waiting for me to read. I guess I will, now that I have finished Luke and Shay’s story.
I must confess, though, that I was not at first keen on reading about the Bennett boys, because I was stuck with thoughts of her Dirty Fairy Tales. And then I got the chance to read Racing Hearts. I must apologise to Lauren Landish. I never should have doubted reading James’ and Mark’s stories when I had them, because, well, this one, Racing Hearts, hit a bit close to home for me.
Let’s start with the plot. Racing Hearts was everything I knew Lauren could give in a story: well-written, that I never doubted. There may have been some errors, but they were so few that it never took away the pleasure of reading about Shay and Luke, how their love was able to bring closure to the bad blood between their families.
The characters. I fell in love with Luke and Shay from the first page to the last. I felt for her brothers, and am definitely eagerly waiting for Lauren to let her readers get to know Brody, Bruce and Bobby.
I am shaking my head for not starting the series in order. I know this is a stand-alone, but I personally would have preferred to have read Buck Wild and Riding Hard first. That’s just me, being OC.
As I said, this one hit a bit close to home. I lost my Dad years back. They said it was a heart attack that took him. I was the one closest to my Dad, I was his princess. I listened more to him than I did my Mom.
I did not attend hid funeral, though, and to this day, I have no regrets for seeing him one last time. You see, he was like Shay’s Dad, he was a gambler. No, he did not gamble with our finances…instead, he gambled with our hearts. And I hated him for it.
To this day I haven’t been to his gravesite, although, in my heart, I have forgiven him. I am his daughter, after all.
So, Racing Hearts…there are some take-aways for me in the book and I thank Lauren for them:
“There are some stories that I’ve never header and some I’ve heard a million times, all little pieces of tape that hold myself together.”
“It’s not a big secret, I’m afraid,” Mama Louise admits. “I just add freshly fried bacon, onions, and mushrooms to the green bean mixture. I dice them all up and sauté them down so they’re invisible before adding them.”
Little gems that may not hold any meaning to some of you, but they strike deep within my heart. If you haven’t read the Bennett Boys, please, I encourage you to do so. If it’s just to experience living in a ranch through the words of Lauren Landish, read it. If it’s reading about cowboys (yes, they are) and their badass women, read it. If it’s to find little gems like I did, read it.
Even if, as you read, you find yourselves rubbing your heart, like I did.
“Courage is not the absence of fear. Its doing what you need to do even when you wanna piss yourself. Hell, sometimes, it’s doing it while the piss is running down your leg.” ~~ Lauren Landish, Racing Hearts (Bennett Boys Ranch, Book 3)

A Bennett and a Tannen getting together. Not unless fists were flying. That is part of the reason Luke and Shayanne growing closer was going to cause all kinds of sparks, and not the good kind.
Back before it went all kinds of wrong, the Tannen and Bennett families were friends. The Tannen family lost their mom early and Mama Louise stepped in to offer friendship and motherly advice. Then the Bennett family lost their dad and it all pretty much went to hell in a handbasket. Imaginary lines have been drawn in the sand and it doesn’t look like things will change any time soon.
Shayanne is all grown up now and Luke is finally noticing that. When an innocent horseback ride finds them sharing secrets in the woods, neither one expected the connection they now feel. Sneaking around doesn’t feel right, but given their family history, they’re out of other options. Luke never thought he’d feel this way but he can’t get enough of Shayanne.
Shayanne is finding out that her father had more issues that she ever dreamed. Her brother Brody is going to flip a lid when he hears the latest bad news. This could crush all they’ve sacrificed for and rip their family business right out from under them. Shayanne and Luke find more in common than their mutual familial pasts. There is a comfort and need to be with one another every minute they can. They try to fight it at the beginning but quickly realize it’s a losing battle. But will it be enough?
Even though this was book 3 in the series I wasn’t lost or confused about what came before. Though, as with other books I’ve read by this author, I found a lot (in my opinion) of filler material. Lots of pages of dialogue I didn’t feel was necessary because it didn’t move the story along at all. 4 ½ stars though for a book I voluntarily read and reviewed in advance without expectations. The wordy passages probably won’t deter me from picking up another book from the author.
OMG Luke & Shayanne story was off the charts, There chemistry sizzling HOT, A must read, I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy. Like all good things must come to an end. Loved it Lauren.
Fingers crossed we get Tannen brothers stories next
I loved this romance. I thought that Luke and Shayanne were so perfect together. Their story is fun, beautiful, steamy and very sweet. I found this book about a wonderful man that feels unappreciated and invisable and the awesome woman that would almost rather be invisable instead of being treated like a child incredibly moving. Add in the fact that these two come from fueding families a la The Hatfield’s and McCoy’s and this couple will steal your aching heart right from your chest! Luke is my favorite Bennet Brother. I admit to having a soft spot for the “Slow waters run deep” kind and I felt that description fit him to a t. Shay was sassy and fiesty on the outside but I thought a lot of that was bluster to protect her heart. Opposing families, responsibilies and an age gap (she is several years younger than him) create plenty of drama and stumbling blocks for these two to deal with along the road to a HEA. A splendid read and a wonderful series.
