Which Triune court is calling the last Isador queen to take her rightful seat? There are three Aima courts: one dead, one full of monsters, and one with an empty seat that’s ruled by the queen of Rome. While Shara Isador loves her monsters, she has no plan to unseat a Skolos queen. Nor does she wish to work side by side with Marne Ceresa on a daily basis.Let alone the mysterious Dauphine, who … Dauphine, who might be closer than Shara ever suspected.
Shara might be a relative baby in Aima years, and she wasn’t raised in a nest. She doesn’t know the ancient houses or laws that bind the queens to the high courts. But there’s one thing she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt.
What this queen takes, she loves, and what she loves, she keeps for all time.
Goddess help anyone who thinks to harm one of her own in order to sway her decision.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
This is one fantastic finale to Shara’s part of the story I must say. She now has to take on Marne and the Triune whether she really wants to or not. This takes a lot of preparation and gives us darn many surprises. I seriously wonder how Burkhart comes up with all of this fantastic wonderful stuff but that is what makes her writing so good so I just enjoy every little bit of it! This book is just full of magic, steamy scenes, romance, danger, fighting, and so much more that it is hard to break it all apart. A must read series for fans of vampire poly series. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I am so not ready for this series to end! I have followed Shara and her Bloods’ adventures for quite a while now and am not sure I am ready to say goodbye. Though I do agree with the author’s note in that it is nice to imagine Shara finally getting the break that she needs to spend time with her men. This book was absolutely fantastic! It had drama, romance, surprises and a few twists and turns that I did not see coming. I have enjoyed getting to know these characters and this world and am excited about the upcoming Queen Takes Camelot because I know that it wil be an interesting connection to a much loved universe.
high heat vampire romance that pulls no punches with a very strong FMC.
Finally, Shara’s HEA??

An explosive final book for Shara, her Blood & House Isodor!!
Both of the Triune Queen’s come after her in this book and they do it separately in completely different ways!
I wanted her to wipe out the Queen that attacked her first. It was all done so cowardly, underhanded & spitefully I feel like after she’d claimed her seat she should’ve decimated her!!
Another exciting read!!

I loved the story, the characters, the action, the different twist and turns and truly hope this is not the last book of Shara and her Knights. There was still so much new aspects added that I hope the writer continues later after she writes more about the other characters because let’s face it ISIS has more for Shara in store per what was said in previous books, since she is the one chosen.
Great read and will reread this entire series again. Highly recommend this series and hope the book covers stay with the same theme which caused me to curiously buy the first book.
This is a phenomenal ending to this series. There is so much that I was wanting from this series and I have to tell you, this book not only lived up to my expectations it exceeded them. I adore Shara and her character and blood will always hold a special place, but I’m also excited for the promise of spinoffs in the vampire queen world.
This is just the beginning of the House of Isador’s legacy. This story has so much feeling and some serious emotion going on. Danger around every thought, action and deed. Shara plays to win and win she does. Through her love for each of her blood and those humans in her inner circle she will fight tooth and nail for their safety. Shara has tough choices to make and every decision will affect her throughout time. It was nice when she would reflect back on her maternal mother and her aunt and her husband who brought her up as their own daughter. I liked the different points of view and it was interesting how the author added scent and flavor to her descriptions of the characters. There is plenty of action and good humorous ribbing to bring a light hearten attempt to very serious situations. I liked how the author described the atmosphere, weather, temperature, humidity, the darkness, the moon and the sunlight. It was fun trying to imagine all the different animal characters talking through their bond. Shara’s infinite love to those who felt unlovable was a testament of her upbringing. It was easy to empathize with Shara’s bloods when they reflected on what was. Their loneliness, tortuous lives, feeling of being an outcast, their sadness, their pain and now their every want fulfilled, their every desire come true. They now had Shara’s love, respect and her promise to never abandon them or forsake them. I wish Shara’s story did not end, but it does. This is an excellent series. I highly recommend it and know you will not be disappointed.
Another fantastic book in this most epic of vampire reverse harem series. This series spans 6 books and a number of novellas featuring ( not so ) side charachters. To fully enjoy this series I highly recommend that you read from the first book otherwise your missing out on a well of backstory, charachter development and a whole world of epic reading-gasms.
However..and I’m truly gutted to say… It’s the last of Shara’s story……for now!
Whilst we jet off to discover other vampires queens who have stories to tell.
Still reeling from the events following Her battle with Ra, Shara as usual has little time for respite and is back rallying her blood to aid her sibling queen Gwen of Camelot, tracking down a hiding in the shadows queen and facing off against the high queen of Rome and the triune.
Decisions need to be made and Shara is torn with the possibilities and the risk… but as usual in typical Shara fucking isador style, kicks ass and takes names…whilst capturing the hearts of those around her and falling in love with another monster!
The blood continues to grow and the new addition is a welcome one… as for me… I still continue to love hard on Rik and Mahan . The personal chapters from each of the individual bloods POV continue to be a favourite of mine. I love that no one is left hiding in the background or forgotten in the crowd.
I’m dying to see how the series progresses… bring on Queen takes Avalon!! I love me some Gwen and her blood… and I truly hope Shara and her blood pop in… because to say I’m not ready to let them go is a monumental understatement.
I adore this series…from the very first page of book 1 to the very last page of book 6. It has been a pleasure to read from start to finish and I’ve said it before in other reviews in this series, has and continues to refresh and revitalised a long time loved genre for me and to that I am an so thankful to the author for putting Sharas story to paper.
Long live Shara fucking Isador!
