What happened after the happily ever after? You all know the story of Peter Pan, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later…Skyla is my home. It has always been my home. But will it always be my prison? As long as I can remember, Peter has told me I’m Skyla’s good luck charm, but … luck charm, but with that title, he refuses to let me leave the floating islands and go on adventures like he does. I spend my days exploring one island after another, after another…and while I may stumble upon a magical cove now and then, when you’ve seen one floating patch of dirt, you’ve seen them all. Such is not said about boys with pixies.
After accidentally finding a hidden treehouse on one of the outer islands, I accidentally meet the owner. Bay is shrouded in mysteries and pixie dust, just like Peter has always been, but unlike Peter, he has answers and adventures. Also unlike Peter, he’s willing to share.
My name is Lyric, a song on the wind, and here is my story…

Wow Lyric Peter Pan’s Daughter is really amazing. I like that she is frustrated by him making her stay in Skyla she wants to be like him and Explore ,and its got to be frustrating to this adventurous girl who can only island hop and explore Skyla. the first book in the Peter Pan Season is a great start. i cant wait to read what happens next
This is the first part in the “Peter Pan” mine series in the “Kingdom of Fairytales”. We get to know Lyric, who was left in the care of Peter 18+ years ago, and is supposed to be Skyla’s “lucky charm”. And although Peter hasn’t aged at all, Lyric has become a young woman who knows she’s different, but still loves Peter as a father.
In this first installment, we get the background of the story that’s yet to unfold. There’s mystery, adventure and the first shy signs of a budding romance. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Lyric lived all her life in Skyla, sheltered and protected as the “Lucky Charn”. Even if she is already nineteen, Peter Pan, her adoptive father, treats her as a child. Her only friend, Whisper, is everything she has, and the occasional wandering around in hopes of an adventure is all Lyric lives for. Only now, her adventures led her to meet a pirate, and find a reclusive yet charming boy…
Lyric’s opening book, after reading all the previous mini-series, is a bit refreshing, detached from all the turmoil that already affected the other kingdoms. Peter’s faltering memory is the only thing that could indicate any oncoming problems, aside from the appearance of two pirates in a single week. Yet the biggest turmoil for the sheltered girl is indeed the emotional one, either related to her best friend or to Bay, as she is a complete stranger to romance. Now, running away with him (or rather, flying), a real adventure is waiting for her, dangerous and alluring alike.
What a fun start to a new series! Lyric is a curious and adventurous girl who is coming of age while her father stays a perpetual boy and insists on keeping her safe at home as her lucky charm. Whisper is such a bubbly and enthusiastic best friend and the mysterious Bay, well, his sass-castic relationship with Lyric is quite entertaining.
This story did a great job of melding elements from the traditional story with brand new characters and a magic floating island setting. My favorite was probably the pixies. There was danger and excitement from the first page, the stakes are high in this one! Pirates, pixies dust, and a little belief – adventure awaits – just follow the second star to the left and straight until morning.
This is book 1 of 4 in Lyric (Peter Pan’s daughter) series. the 12th golden eyed adopted child hers is the last story before the exciting conclusion to this year long adventure. As with the other characters, books within an arc must be read in order, but the 12 arcs can be read independently of one another.
This a Peter Pan retelling but not the way you remember, this the after. Lyric is Peter’s daughter and although her story, in the beginning moved a bit slow, it soon picked up and her adventure truly began. There is adventure abroad, questions and mysteries to solve and possibly a touch of romance? Can’t wait to find out.
Queen of Skies is the first book in the Peter Pan arc of the Kingdom of Fairytales series by J.A. Armitage and Anne Stryker.
Lyric home have always been in Skyla. She’s been adopted by Peter Pan. Lyric is almost 19 and being the daugther of someone who’s not aging is not really evident. Pan told her she’s Skyla good luck charm and barely let her go anywhere. One day on one of the outer islands, she found a treehouse and accidentally meet the owner. Bay is full of mystery and strangely he have a pixie and still is able to talk to it even tough is not a kid anymore. But unlike Peter, Bay have adventure and is ready to share with her.
Also, Lyric have been attacked by pirate, twice and Pan don’t belive or don’t want to belive her, until one day when they attacked they’re home leaving part of it destroyed. After that, Peter start losing a bit of is memory of Tiger Lily. Knowing that the answers aren’t in Skyla. Lyrics leave with Bay for Neverland.
I really loved this book and can’t wait for the sequel. I have received an arc of this book from the author.
