The woman I fell in love with is a walking contradiction…She’s sexy as hell, yet infuriating. Hopelessly in love with me, but carefully plotting to get the hell away. She honestly thinks that I’m the ‘king of lies’?Well, she f-cking fooled you…She’s the queen. This is book 2 in the Empire of Lies trilogy
Another winner for Whitney. I have yet to read a book by Whitney that I didn’t fall in love with. With that being said, this is book #2 in the series and should be read in order otherwise you won’t get the full effect and because this series is so good why wouldn’t you want to read it in order. I always eagerly anticipated the next books by Whitney.
This book is filled with so much suspense and angst that I couldn’t put it down. The author wasn’t lying when she said this is NOTHING like her other books but I’m not at all surprised that this is just as amazing as all the others I’ve read.
This book had me sobbing and missing a ton of sleep. I’m counting down the days until the finale!!
Book 2 in the Empire of Lies trilogy begins where the jaw dropping cliffhanger left off. Michael Anderson, the antithesis of a hero is back! He isn’t who you think he is but neither is the feisty Meredith Thatchwood! She will stop at nothing for her freedom but at what cost? When the truth starts to come out what will happen between these two? This is a fantastic followup to King of Lies and has so much more suspense, lies and twists. I really enjoyed Meredith’s spirit and cannot wait for the final book in this trilogy. May I also add that prologue was epic!! Ends in another crazy cliffhanger and Told in dual POV
With cliffy ending of book 1, we got the anti hero Michael straight up.
Queen of Lies if fast pace. One sitting read. Layer by layer of who Michael is revealing it self. If book one more like introduction, the second book is like a Wham bam! Here goes the darkness.
And Meredith… I like her better in here. She’s stronger somehow. We see how she is really with the sin she commited. I like how she’s portrayed not as that pure. She feel more real in this book than the first who feel all swoony.
And the end of the book? That the real darkness that just destroy soul.
Can’t wait to read the next book!
Love the Twist and turn and how the author not afraid to create anti hero like Michael.
Queen of Lies was good. It gives more insight into both, Michael and Meredith, answers some questions while upping the ante. I can’t wait to read the conclusion to see how this all ends.

This picks up where we were left off in the King story. You will soon realize that these characters are not what they claim to be, but as the story unravels you are pulled into something really different. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat! I can’t wait for the finale of this story I honestly volunteered to review the arc.
