Here’s the thing about secrets: the only way to keep them between two people is if one of them is dead. If you’re not willing to pull the trigger yourself, you best be prepared to have it pulled on you. I learned that lesson the hard way. My ignorance got her killed. Everything I once was died with her. From the ashes, something new was born. Something wicked. My soul was carved out by grief, … soul was carved out by grief, molded by power, and brought forth from limbo for one reason. Revenge.
I’d been down this road before, with Anastasia always one step ahead.
I was blind then. I am no longer.
The best revenge wasn’t instant. It was planned. You studied your enemy, learned every secret they kept, every fear they held, understood them so intimately that you began to pity them. It was then that you struck. I wanted her to suffer.
And I would settle for nothing less.
Warning: as the characters mature and grow so does the story. This novel is recommended for readers 16+.

I loved Queen of Lies. The third book in the DA series and it really does have it all. The development of the characters, depth of the story and great pace kept me turning the pages. I would definitely recommend this to anyone familiar with the series and I can’t wait for the next!
Anyone who isnt? What are you waiting for?
Continuing straight on from the previous book, the story developed dramatically throughout Queen of Lies with some very revealing and thought provoking revelations. This was my favourite of the series by far!
I am starting to like Selena a lot more thankfully. I’ve struggled in the previous books with her suppressing her emotions and coming across as cold and aloof, but in this book she has finally allowed herself to feel. Yay! We have finally discovered exactly who and what she is and you’re in for a treat! She has grown and developed and is a much better and more intriguing (anti) heroine for it. Aaron played a bigger role as they started to grow closer, although I’d still like more information on the signoste bond. Drama and angst was never far away, but her friends and family have developed strongly with her.
Told still all from Selena’s pov, the narrator captures her personality perfectly. She’s very good although if I’m being picky there could be a bit more differentiation between characters perhaps. Not saying it’s easy though with so many differing personalities to capture in this book!
The tension, darknesss, drama and action is building and after that ending I have a feeling there will be very testing and emotional times ahead especially for the sisters, as tensions and the quest for power between supernaturals peaks. I’m really looking forward to the conclusion as I’ve no idea how everything will play out.
4.5 dark, magical stars
I haven’t read these books before, so listening to them is my first experience and I think it was fantastic how Stacey brought these characters to life. She has improved with each book, She really had me going with some of the emotional scenes, with some of the big reveals, I felt them so hard! I got emotionally while listening and taking my daily walk around my neighborhood haha. She improved I think with the male voices as well. I could tell the differences with the slight nuances who was talking in the story, which was better than in books 1 and 2 where sometimes the male side characters confused me. Great job, cannot wait until the 4th and final book is available! 4.5 stars from me
The story (4.5 stars)…..book 3 finally had resolution for some of the things we have been WAITING for and I was all for it. I think the twists in this book were well done, nothing way out of left field but nothing easily guessed .Good mix. I thought the final walls breaking/decision finally made by our stubborn and strong Selena was superb. I think the advances with the ladies and their demons upped the supernatural aspect of this story, which made me really happy. I liked what was happening at the shifter colony/hideout, and I loved some of the new side characters (someone’s little sister was a welcomed relief and made me smile and giggle). I think the only thing that kinda threw me off and made my rating only a 4.5 instead of a 5 was Selene’s sudden change for Aaron. I thought there should have been more time after Selena was back for them to get to know each other/go on dates/etc. I know it was a long time coming and their are soulmates, but it wasn’t as smooth of a transition/believable after she was so pissed at him because he was lying to her for so long. But besides that, I loved this one, favorite so far
I’m loving this series so much, Queen of Lies picks up where previous left so please read them in order. Selena is an amazing character, strong, and knows what she wants while Kel well you need to read but definitely love the character. Lucas or Ash/Aaron well that’s the main issue here, you will love them both, so here you will discover more. I can’t wait to find out what comes next. The narration done by Stacey Glemboski is brilliant definitely a great audiobook to get and one I totally recommend.
I really like this series because I love that Selena isn’t afraid to be the bad guy for those she loves. It’s nice to see more to her and the others in the story, though it did felt like it dragged in some places. It also feels like they could’ve done more with the team, developmentally, but I’m hoping there’s more to come in the next book.
