30 dates in 30 days. Seems like fun right? Yeah, not so much… Montgomery.
Nolan had always treated me as his little sister’s annoying best friend and I couldn’t stand his bossy ways. The last thing I needed was him following me around with a video camera and lecturing me on all the things I was doing wrong. I certainly didn’t need him showing me how I could improve; even if his lips and hands were recurring images in my dreams. He may have been my first kiss, but there was no way I was going to let him get his hands on me again.

3,5* funny, silly, romcom stars
After reading this book I had to take some time to get my head around the review I wanted to give. On the one hand I really enjoyed how it was a little bit of the modern twist of the Jane Austen and how the hero was “not Mr. Darcy” but in fact was acting very similarly, beside the silly and not really mature banter with heroine. And here is the other hand where I hoped the dialogues and situations would be more mature. But sometimes just some people have this way with words that we act and react in not really mature way.
This is very funny and enjoyable quick romcom read but I was hopping to see more scenes where main characters are going to those 30 dates and I hoped for many more hilarious situations emerging out of this assignment.
So while I really enjoyed reading it I had and the end feeling that something was lacking and that with this really good writing author could do better with the story line itself.
Julia works for her small town newspaper and is assigned to write weekly articles about the do’s and dont’s of first dates. She has to sign up on some dating sites and go on 30 first dates in 30 days. Her best friend’s brother, Nolan, is the photographer for the assignment and he has a bit of a history with Jules. He was her first kiss. Julia has been getting letters from a secret admirer for years and they make her feel good about herself. Nolan and Jules have lots of close moments and very hot chemistry. I really enjoyed the book but wish it had a bit more with the dates. It felt like it just ended without wrapping everything up.
A sweet, cute funny short story. Julia wears on my nerves with her immaturity, but Nolan ups the challenge for her to mature and stretch her boundries.
Absolutely loved the ending and the inscription in the book. Who knew…..Nolan was such a sweety!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
What a short, fun read!!! I really enjoyed Jules and Nolan’s story and especially their witty banter back and forth. They have secretly been in love with each other for year’s but will they even be willing to admit it? I liked how even though this was a shorter novel, I didn’t feel like anything was missing from their story as we got to know what happened in the past with them as well as the current time. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book for an honest review.
I really loved this story about Jules/Julia getting roped in at her job as a reporter to go out out on dates to help build up the newspaper. Not only was she supposed to go out on dates, but the photographer was Nolan (who was her best friend Betsy’s brother. ) Jules has always had a crush on Nolan, but things never worked out. Plus she started to receive letters from Fitz again (she hadn’t heard from her secret admirer in years), but is Fitz, Lucas? Who had recently returned back to the area?
What started out as a work assignment with the devil himself, be it a handsome devil though turned Julia’s world upside down and sideways. As best friends Julia and Betsy spent lots of time together so it was only natural that Betsy’s brother Nolan would be in the picture a significant amount of time. Jules had a crush on Nolan but he only seemed to tease her. They seemed to have a love hate relationship but once they were working together they ended up as much more than coworkers.
From queen of first dates to queen of my heart
Super cute and fun story! I didn’t want to put it down and needed to know what would happen on each date!
