A crown I don’t want. A bargain I can’t take back. A life I refuse to sacrifice. After four hundred years on my own, one would think I’d be able to walk away and never look back. I’d done it a thousand times before with nary an inkling of guilt. But with my brand new predicament, there is no way I can turn down the offered bargain–not if I want everyone I love to stay alive. Now, … stay alive.
Now, all I have to do is trek through the very realm I nearly died to keep sealed. Sure. Because there’s no way that could go wrong.

Queen of Fate & Fire by Annie Anderson is a great story to read. This is book number six in this great series that I have enjoyed reading very much and can not wait to see what this author will write next. This series is one of the best I have ever read!! I can’t stand the thought that it’s over. This story had all the feels. I laughed, cried and swooned even. Max and her friends make it through the worst possible situations and kept me entertained and turning pages as fast as I could. Max has created a family that always has her back, supports her and loves her. In this action packed book, with surprises, twists and turns and so much turmoil I was on an emotional roller coaster. Then there is love, friendship, family and so much more you. What a wonderful way to end such a fantastic series. Thank you Annie for sharing your talents with us!!

I’ve been following Max since the beginning and I LOVE her. She’s fabulous. This is the final story and it’s not a nice easy wrap — there are still surprises, action and some twists you won’t see coming. I highly recommend the series and think you will be happiest if you start at the beginning. We’ve seen Max grow and change throughout the story and this one doesn’t let us down–terrific ending.
Annie Anderson closes out Max’s series with sooooo many high notes!!!! Faerie, Dark Elves, witches, a water dragon, gods and goddesses…so many surprises, yes, there’s laughter, and and even a few tears! I am down in the dumps to know this is end of Max and her crew’s adventures, but am keeping my fingers crossed they’ll make an appearance somewhere down the line!!
Although it’s sad that this is the final book in the Rogue Ethereal series I am so glad Max finally got her HEA. Max goes through so much in this action packed book and I couldn’t put my kindle down until the last page. A page turning storyline, the strong heroine and the amazing world that this author created make this book and this series a must read. I can’t wait to read the next fantastic book and series by this wonderful author.
There was a lot of emotion in these last pages of her story. I honestly need a few tissues.
I really love Max’s little family. Their undying, unconditional love for her gave Max strength in the darkest of hours.
There were many surprises and lots of action that kept me on the edge. I so desperately wanted to flip to the end and find out what was going to happen but thankfully I didn’t. Lol.
I am so sad to see the end of Max’s journey because I love her character so much but at the same time I’m glad she finally gets her happy ending.
5 Cranky Stars
Max needs a vacation, a tropical beach, a book, a quiet space, and her husband because girl has been through it. Heck Max might even need some serious meds because I can’t imagine what’s going on in her head over the course of the series but of course she is a magical being and I am not. Through the series we’ve seen Max go from a one woman show with very little family to becoming the daughter of Chaos and gaining a family she cobbled together from her misfit friends. It hasn’t all been about discovering family it’s also been about big losses and some equally big gains. I can’t believe Max is ending here with Queen of Fate and Fire but it’s time for Max to rest.
Max is told she must find Dusan before the blood moon or the fae realm will be no more. Thinking she can just trick Alistair and her family into staying behind she sets off for a wild goose chase to find him, but she doesn’t get far. Many people have her back including her mother and grandmother to name a few. This ragtag group sets out to save a realm and their species but are dealt the ultimate surprise. They dodge a David Bowie type labyrinth minus the aforementioned David Bowie, a cyclops, several Gods and Goddess, creepy fish things and a water dragon to just name a few. This is the perfect book for it all to end.
I’m sad but I’m happy Max is finally getting her me time. She has kept me entertained with her antics. I wish that if I was a magical being, I’d be kicking butt like her. She has made us laugh with her quick quips and made us sad as she loses those she loves. This book does have a very awesome ending so it’s not all doom and gloom. Thank you, Annie Anderson, for giving us one kick butt heroine in a book world where there aren’t too many. We will always love the blue haired Massima!
My goodness was this series a fun read or what? I hate to see it end, but what a ride! I love how Annie creates such depth in her characters. Even minor characters have such great descriptions, leaving you wanting even more of them. This story took me on a an emotional roller coaster. Ups, downs, rage, intense angst, laughing bouts, crying spells. I took several days after reading simply to digest all of the story.
Alistair and Max just make me swoon. I love how much Max grows in this story, showing even a centuries old stubborn woman can be vulnerable and loving. I want more of these characters. I hope they show up in future stories. This world is simply so intriguing. I enjoyed my mental holiday while reading.
If you love becoming fully immersed into a fantastic world full of magical beings, I hope you check this series out. It was simply divine.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What an amazing way to end the series. Breaks my heart to say goodbye to Max, Alistair and the crew but so glad to have spent the time with them. If you want a witty, badass female, read this series! In fact, read all of the series by Annie Anderson!

This the sixth book in this series. They need to be read in order. Once again Max finds herself in a difficult situation. Someone from her family is in danger again as well. She has to find her father and get him back or well you can guess. Once again, the group will have to pull up their boot straps and figure shite out. Max continues to learn about her bio parents and her parents who raised her. It seems Max never really gets a break. There is danger, intrigue, and so much more. Many things along the way will try to stop Max from completing her task. Max will be forced to face the guilt she carries as well. Even if it is undeserved guilt. I can’t say enough about this book or the series. I love Max and these characters so much. I will be sad to not read more about them anymore. Who knows maybe some of them will carry over to a new series? We can only hope. Fantastic job about Annie. This series is a must read.
ONE MAGICAL LANDSLIDE
Unbelievable! Annie nailed this entire series with 100% on point realism cranking this baby up, weaving treads of such intensity and precision, laying out all the frills, spills and debacles, wrapping this jewel up sleek, shiny and tight. One action packed, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, nail-biting, block buster, catapulting this jewel to a whole new realm. Traversing the intimidating trials and challenging tribulations, alongside the shocking twists and wicked turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Negotiating through a minefield of deadly peril and chilling steps, maneuvering through the manipulations of dark evil and malicious intent, kicking ass and dispatching foes, propelling this baby to life flawlessly. Blurred lines and crushed boundaries, limitations are amplified and exploited, displaying all the fervent facts, feels and fiascos, booting this baby onward, breaking it down, blasting it into a tizzy with astonishing results. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits adding depth and diversity, transforming into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that’s so rich and lively it feels like you can just reach out and touch it. Remarkable job Annie, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
Wait… it’s over? I can’t believe this but what a way to go. Max’s final adventure in the Rogue Ethereal series is a doozy. I went through so many emotions with Max in this book. I laughed, cried, got angry. It was an adventure full of twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I am sad to that these characters and this story has come to an end. But it was a wild adventure, that I read through really quickly. I was not expecting to finish the book as fast as I did. Annie has done a wonderful job in creating these characters and this world. There are times where I wish that this world was real and I just could join them. The characters have so much growth and the writing just captured me. It’s a sad goodbye to this world.

I have been DYING for this book and Annie did not disappoint!!!
Max does it again, she charges head on into the situation and handles business!!!!
This book will throw you for some serious loops! We get introduced to some of Max’s family (talk about WTF), some serious feels moments (I might’ve snot cried) and a happily ever after that soothes the soul (I never saw that coming but so freaking glad it did).
“I love you to the ends of the earth and far beyond. Vaster than Heaven or Hell or any of the world in between.”
I have waited and feared this moment ever since I found out that this is the concluding novel. The entire book was such an emotional roller coaster. I’ve laughed and cried and had heart palpitations throughout this journey. The characters, especially Max, have come such a long way in their personal development and their relationships. When we began this journey with Max, I never thought she’d have the family and friends she ended with. I love a well deserved HEA. I completely recommend this book, though the series should be read in order. I also recommend the Phoenix Rising series that this was spun off of. It isn’t necessary, but it gives good background on a lot of the characters. I’m sad that this is the end, but I won’t say goodbye; I say see ya later.
This book is a great addition to the series. A world with magic, but also plenty of action and suspense. The characters are interesting and so likeable. The plot is easy to follow and also has som unexpected twists. This is entertaining, and fun.
Loved the entire series.

I tried so hard to savor this book knowing that it was the last in the series, but I failed miserably. I love all things Max. She has a crusty exterior wrapped around a kick ass and take names attitude. Inside she has a heart of gold, vulnerable, always trying to protect others even if she must sacrifice herself.
This book never gives you time to relax and breathe. There is constant turmoil around every bend; forcing you at times to hold your breath as you wait for the action to unfold. The ending knits together all the loose ends and you let out a sigh of relief. I will miss Max and all the others.

This book is a great show of adventure thrills and awesome characters. Couldnt put it down. Only bad thing is its the last book in the series makes me want more books to read about Max.

I have obsessed over this series ever since they came out and although I am crying about it ending, it couldn’t have been a more perfect ending

Max finally has the family she has always wished for and now they are about to be annihilated in the realm of the Fae. At the end of the last book, Max and Alistair are married, partly in order to fulfill a bargain made many years ago and partly to save Max from death. Now, it appears that Alistair has been possessed by something or someone. “The first year is always the hardest, right?”
Max soon finds out that there is much more to her background and her powers than she ever imagined. She finally finds out the truth and it’s nearly overwhelming. She has to find and rescue her true father before the Blood Moon, which gives her three days. Will she be able to accomplish this before the world comes to an end?
Without giving away spoilers, let’s just say that if you thought Max’s life was complicated before, you ain’t seen nothing yet! As she learns more about her past, she also learns that a lot of things that have happened to her and her loved ones isn’t her fault. “I was tired of the world throwing me under the bus time and time again.”
This book was a fitting conclusion to this awesome series. “To the ends of the earth and far beyond.” This is the promise that Alistair makes to Max. The book has plenty of action, sometimes almost too fast to even follow it. Max and her friends are still snarky and fighting with each other, all while fighting for their lives. I will miss Max, but I know that the author has plenty of other amazing adventures in store for her readers.
