The long awaited family reunion between the Gentry brother’s long lost younger sister, Kinsey was so worth the long wait. Kinsey ( and Rand Steven’s) story wraps up the Aces and Eights series perfectly. A good tear jerker, I sobbed like a baby more than once. If you don’t, there’s something wrong. This story, is entertaining, romantic, and a tear jerker. With some surprises for fans of the series at the end. A quick easy read, because you won’t want to put it down. My one and only complaint? It’s the of The Aces and Eights series.
Wow!! I absolutely loved this book!!
Sandra Owen’s never fails to deliver!
It’s an excellent conclusion, to an
awesome series! It’s a touching,
funny, romantic & intriguing story
Kinsey finds a letter from her late mother. She’s extremely shocked by what she reads. Her mother had another family. Kinsey has felt alone & misses her Mom. She finds out that her three brothers are bikers. Hesitate, does she really want to meet them. Rand is posing as one of the owners of Aces and Eights biker bar. He’s undercover for the Gentry brothers.
Rand doesn’t think his heart will ever heal, after losing the most important person in the world to him. That is, till Kinsey walks into his bar. There was something about Kinsey, that drew Rand to her. She is inquiring about the now “former” owners of the bar. It sent up a red flag to him and he needs to learn more about her, for the brothers & himself. The emotions, the humor & their chemistry pulled me in, & kept me hooked.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE!!!
Great Conclusion to the Aces & Eight Series. I only wish it could have been longer, cause I didn’t want to say good bye. I appreciated that Kinsey had grit, class and stood up for herself. I really like the fact that Rand didn’t let the Gentrys run him over. They pulled their macho big brothers, and Rand took a side step, but then he buckled down. An enjoyable read.
Queen of Diamonds is the final book in Sandra Owen’s Aces & Eights series. As a big fan of this series, I was so looking forward to Kinsey’s story and Sandra gave us a wonderful ending!
Kinsley Landon has recently found out that she has 3 brothers her mother never told her about. After losing her mother, she finds a letter left behind for her. She can’t believe she’s not alone in the world and that she has more family. She sets out to find them even though she’s a little concerned when she finds out they own a biker bar. But Kinsey doesn’t let that stop her. In the past books featuring the three Gentry brothers, we’ve gotten teasers about her and their quest to find their other sibling.
Kinsey ends up finding them first, but not before she meets Rand Stevens, the new co-owner of the biker bar. There’s instant attraction between these two and more, but Rand is still dealing with the loss of his daughter and hasn’t allowed himself to move forward in his life. He’s also an FBI agent and working undercover at the bar. When he finds out his boss and fellow FBI agents are her brothers, well…that might just complicate things further.
This story warmed my heart. The scenes with her brothers were great to read. The love between the family is strong and it was great to revisit the brothers and their wives. I was also rooting for Kinsey and Rand from the very beginning. Kinsey was very good for Rand and helping him through some pretty difficult times and I loved the chemistry between them.
Queen of Diamonds was filled with love, laughter, family and touched on some difficult subjects as well. Sandra Owens gave us a great ending to an awesome series.
**I received an ARC in exchange in for an honest review**
What a wonderful way to wrap up a great series! I recommend reading the first three Gentry books first so you can fall in love with the brothers. Queen of Diamonds tied up all the questions and leaves you sighing! Wish it wasn’t over !
Holy cow! What a way to finish off a series! I absolutely loved this book. Rand & Kinsey are such a great couple & their story was so touching. It’s hard to put into words all the feels this book has.
What an amazing ending to this fabulous series, the feels, the emotions – I smiled, chuckled, sighed, swooned, and had the tears were in my eyes more times then I am comfortable to admit.
The Gentry brothers won my heart over through the series. They are charming, commanding, and tough as nails, with cream puff hearts, who fight for the justice, protect what is theirs, and love fiercely and forever ones they give their hearts away. They had found their places in the life, only two things missing, the sister they found about recently, and the mother who left them with their nightmarish father.
Kinsey Landon is looking for her long-lost brothers, and while at it, she finds Rand Stevens, the broken-hearted FBI agent who just does not fit in the biker bar he says he owns.
Kinsey and Rand have an instant, burning attraction, that they both admit to and a bit surprisingly for Rand, are willing to act upon. Rand’s broken heart after his little daughter passed away, the divorce that followed, and the ways he was trying to dull the pain, has made him swear off relationships. He is not ready to risk his heart, to feel any emotions, to open up just to have his heart ribbed in pieces again. But Kinsey has that spark that pulls him out of the darkness he has lived in for the past year, brings sunshine and smiles back to his life, and makes him think there might be a brighter future for him as well if he dares to be vulnerable and take the leap of faith with Kinsey.
I loved Kinsey and Rand, they were just perfect together, there was the spark, the connection, they got each other, they were comfortable with each other, they had trust, passion, same interests, and when Rand started to woo her, he got me at the same time. Swoon-worthy doesn’t even begin to describe it as he rocked the seduction of the mind, body, and soul with his tenderness, caring, loving affection, protectiveness, and take charge attitude, and wanting to make Kinsey happy, and being willing to stand up for the wall of big brothers who suddenly realize their friend was part of their newfound baby sister’s life.
But the tale is not just the reunion of the siblings and finding your soul mate. There are things happening in Kinsey’s life that put her in dire danger, where she will need all the protection and connections of her family and friends to survive.
When you take the sorrow of losing your mom, losing your child, the joy of finding your lost sibling(s), the jubilee of falling in love, and losing everything you have accomplished in life because of someone else’s crimes, you can get an idea of the depth and variety of the feels and emotions you go through as you read the story.
And when you get to the epilogue that is told through Nate’s eyes (in third person POV) looking at the family in whole, and where they are then… Get a box of tissues and get ready to for an update on the Gentry brothers, and see what a diamond of a lady their little sister truly is, live through some dangerous and fear filled moments with her, and witness the most swoony, romantic, heartfelt, finding your soul mate story that will melt your heart.
Absolutely a stunning ending to a series, so perfectly done, wrapping up and pulling together all four siblings stories in a heartfelt and ardent tale. Oh my word, my heart is full!
~ Five Spoons!
This talented author, once again, captures the hearts of her readers with this story.
This book is not only about Kinsey, the sister the Gentry brothers never knew they had, nor only about FBI agent Rand Stevens, the man that has suffered a devastated loss, and is just living day by day.
While most will give you a summary of the plot , I will go another way.
This story wraps up the previous books. How three young and abused boys, overcame their childhood to become honorable men. About the strong women they married. It’s a story that reminds me of St Francis’s prayer. It’s a story of finding joy where there was sadness, light where there was darkness, hope where there was despair and above all, how love helps to overcome everything.
At times heartbreaking but also a heartwarming and heartfelt story.
A beautiful conclusion to this wonderful series. The “boys” will be missed but not forgotten.
Kudos to this talented author for another winner.
I voluntarily read this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Queen of Diamonds is the fourth and final book in the Aces & Eights series, and while it probably could stand alone, you really, REALLY should read the previous three. Reading the other books will give you a feel for the Gentry family dynamics and make this story even more beautiful than it is on its own. This book has cursing (including f-bombs) and some on-page sex. Neither is over-done but both are there so use your own judgment when reading.
First and foremost, the cover for this book is phenomenal. In the day and age of half-naked male torsos dominating covers for romance novels that feature strong female main characters, it is refreshing to have a female *actually grace the cover* of this one and to have her be fully dressed. It’s 2018 and those things are so sadly rare that this cover really stands out to me as unique and wonderful. If you’re reading: thank you so much for that, Ms. Owens.
This book is the perfect ending to an amazing series. I read this one with trepidation because I adored the Gentry brothers SO MUCH and I was wondering whether Kinsey would be as likable or as able to carry a book the way her brothers did, but I should have known not to doubt Sandra Owens. Kinsey and Rand were both seriously great characters, and this book consumed my mind from start to finish, leaving me with the worst book-hangover I’ve had in ages. (How DO you recover from a book that was every single thing you wanted it to be?)
Rand is nothing like the Gentry brothers, but wow was he a great book hero. I loved him from the first heart-breaking reveal about his character (vague to avoid spoilers) and I loved the way that he loved Kinsey, even when he struggled to allow himself to do so. The character growth that he showed from start to finish was fantastic and I loved how he dealt with his demons to bring himself back to life. And then there was Kinsey. I adored Kinsey. She wasn’t a bitter or angry person despite the hand in life that she’d been dealt, she was tough as nails and yet also so sweet. I loved the way that she handled meeting and getting to know her brothers and their various wives and off-spring (swoon!) and the way that she dealt with having the three Gentry boys as her incredibly well-meaning but incredibly overprotective brothers.
This book is chock full of amazing scenes that I could wax poetically about for paragraphs about, but I could re-read the two scenes that focus on the first coming together of the Gentry family a hundred times and still find myself crying and swooning over the entire thing. I absolutely loved everything about them.
The Gentry family is a special kind of beautiful, and although the epilogue of the story is literally everything that I could have ever wanted, I am going to miss these siblings and this series so much.
I would highly recommend this book and this entire series to anyone who enjoys a romantic suspense series with the most amazing family dynamic, and that has the perfect balance of intrigue, humor, heat, and a whole boatload of heart.
Everything about this book was amazing! It was the perfect wrap up of the entire series! It made me laugh, cry, sympathize and just fall in love all oVer again with the great characters! Sandra Owens makes her characters come to life! I feel like they’re all my friends and I get so wrapped up in their lives! Wonderful book! Can’t wait to read it again!
Simply perfect ending to a amazing series! The hilarious sibling rivalry. The antics. “Dude”! Lol. Combined with the extreme sensitivity for a lost parent and child. Sandra writes a wonderful balance of the humor, angst, anxiety with unbridled passion in this book. A perfect ending!
Five enthusiast stars for Queen of Diamonds. You won’t be able to put this book down.
You’ll love this final book in Sandra Owens’ Aces & Eights series about three brothers who are undercover FBI agents.
Queen of Diamonds focuses on Kinsey, a college student who finds out she has three brothers. She eventually tracks them down and they immediately start taking over her life.. in a good way.
You’ll love catching up with Alex, Court and Nate and their families. The romance between Rand and Kinsey is not without issues but ends with a happily ever after for all the Gentrys.
It’s a must read book that’ll have you smiling throughout.
