Truth can be ugly and part-time waitress, casual PI investigator, and half-fae shifter, Raven Crawford, can’t deny she owes the Lord of War a favour. If she defaults on her debt, she relinquishes all her power to a man who doesn’t know the meaning of mercy. And she thought her bank loans were bad. With her new role in the Underworld contending with her debt to a dictator, a budding romance with … the Lord of Shadows, and her need to pay the bills, Raven is in serious need of balance. But the moment the dark fae walked into her diner months ago, she’s been off-balance.It’s time for Raven to pull up her big girl socks and prove to everyone she’s no longer the burnt-out waitress with a nifty parlour trick. She’s the Queen of Corvids.

Another great book in the series. I really enjoy these books. They are super fun to read and have just the right amount of humor, romance and action in them. The writing is also great, it goes fast and just sucks you into the world of Raven.
This book was a lot about Raven finding her footing and independence in the underworld. Cole gave her the freedom to learn and yet was always close by. Sometimes a little too much for my liking but that is just Cole and it would be out of character for him any other way.
Final in this book the discussion about their father with the family finally happens and it was fun and awkward (for them) at the same time.
We also learn a lot of new things which makes it even more interesting and not just about Raven but people around her.
Of course I still love her family and anytime we get to spend with them is so much fun.
Mike is still one of my favorite and I hope we will get a book for him at some point.
Overall another fun and great book in the series.
I rate it 4
I love this series and think Raven is a great character. I love how she has grown a bit from the first book. And of course the situations she finds herself in are a hoot. And this book is just as entertaining. Of course the other main characters show up and create havoc. It was hard to put down and I both laughed and groaned throughout the story. Raven and Cole are a riot and the rest of the characters that pop in just add to the story. I just love this series and this book just added to it.
This is book 3 of the Raven Crawford series. First off the cover is amazing. The storyline and characters are very well put together and engaging. This is a story that grabs you from the start and pulls you into the book and is hard to put down. I would recommend reading.

This story is filled with humor, angst suspense and drama. Characters are interesting and have great development through the series. This is an exciting third book in Raven’s story!
The story line and character work were good. The book had a fairly smooth flow to it. This was a great addition to the series and kept me entertained.

I absolutely adore books with a strong female MC. Raven is just that. She may be new to her position but she is taking it in stride and learning the ways of dark fae. I loved her story so much. My only complaint is that I wish there were more!
Perfect Ending to Raven’s Story!
“Queen of Corvids” is the final chapter in the “Raven Crowford” Series as she comes into her power as Queen. Raven is strong, powerful and ready! This action-packed tale is full of drama, humor, and love. This entire series is one I will remember for a long time. The characters are authentic and well-developed, the scenes are vivid and realistic and the story flows at a fast-pace with enough twists to keep it interesting. I loved this tale and am sorry to see it end.

Another fantastic, dark fantasy by J.C. McKenzie!
Raven, her strong and sassy protagonist draws me into a richly drawn urban fantasy world. Cole, her lover, is swoon-worth to be sure, but also wonderfully human in his feelings. There’s lots of suspense and lots of action. Add a legendary, tender love story and McKenzie’s signature wit and you have an amazing tale to finish the trilogy.
I highly recommend this book for lovers of the Urban Fantasy genre, and/or paranormal romance.
Book 3 and BEST. ONE. YET. in this amazing series.
The author holds nothing back for this one, we get action unbound, and the love of family shows no respite for those who wish to harm.
Raven is on her toes and has a list a mile long of things to do. Can she get it all done?
And can she finally bring herself and Cole even closer to each other?
Grab your copy and find out.
Great book! Really all went up in this instalment more action, more fights, more fun , more violence ( then dark fae are violent) and more steam! It’s just wonderfully written to have us hooked right at the beginning.
Raven is trying to adjust to her new position of Queen of Corvids while staying alive and pay her debt to Bane…but she still has a lot to learn despite having Cole as an advisor as well as a lover….I loved to see her think about her relationship with Cole because it’s true it went fast but she does reflect on it and dig deeper. Also Rouke show a new side of himself which is wonderful and funny
It’s a non stop action with enemies in Mortal realm and others among the fae but not only. we also discover a new side ” Roller” thankfully more neutral because Raven has really a lot on her plate and she doesn’t realise all her abilities yet.
This is a funny, full of action, story but it make sense when read in order more as we can see the evolution of the characters i was eager to learn more about the universe and this book offered us that with an excellent intrigue
Raven is courageous, loyal and she has a good heart. The only thing that bothered me a little is that i had the feeling one group got it too easy….i understand the why with Raven personality but still i wasn’t happy about that otherwise it’s simply perfect.
to recommend
Well the third and possibly last book about Raven is a fast paced romp full of suspense and lots of humour. Raven has come a long way from just being a waitress and as she’s now Queen of the Corvids she still has a lot to learn but trust me she’s most definitely getting there. So what has she got to face this time ? Ok she still owes the Lord of War a favour , her father’s goat is missing , she’s coming to terms with her assassin bodyguard, greedy Trolls are definitely up to something and then there’s the Lord of Shadows who is the type her Grandmother warned her about ! Add in God’s, Fae and even humans with their own agendas and Raven really needs to up her game !
I did enjoy this and the only reason I’m not rating it higher is because as much as it’s about Raven and her journey it felt as if Cole her love interest was very underused. As he’s this deadly, powerful Dark Fae I had expected more from him so to this reader it felt uneven . I prefer both members of a couple to feel vibrant which certainly Raven does but sadly here Cole didn’t particularly shine.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
