They met each other at the store when he was trying to figure out what kind of shampoo to buy for his daughter’s hair. At that time, they didn’t even know they were neighbors. I received an ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
How does one push past the pain when the present reminds them of the past pain?
To me that was the best caption for Ella’s life. My heart went out as I was reading the kind of treatment and horror she went through form her dead husband but I admired her strength and courage to move ahead and make a life for herself and her sweet daughter Tiffany.
I was giddy at the chance meeting between her and Ragnar. I loved how they built their friendship. The author really did a beautiful job here on how they built their friendship and their growth into love for one another. I really enjoyed reading the story develop not having sparks flying everywhere at the first few pages.
When the curves and bends of life threw a wedge into their relationship I admired how the both of them did not give into despair but drove into prayers and deep reflections on how to make things better. I loved most especially now their whole relationship was built on God and not going out of the boundaries God has set.
One big lesson I learnt from this book is to push! Never to allow despair, pain and fear win. To ask God for help and push past the pain.
The overall flow of the story was beautiful and captivating. Very welcoming.
I received a copy of the book from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Ella & Ragnar are neighbors. Both have lost their spouses and are single-parenting little girls. When circumstances place them in each other’s path, they become friends. Over time deeper feelings develop. Will they both fall prey to the issues that damaged their previous marriages? Will their friends, families and in-laws accept their new relationship? This is a sweet, Christian romance with a focus on the emotions involved in loving again after loss. Ella & Ragnar are great, likeable characters!

I loved this story. I loved the characters and the story line. This story is about Ella and Ragnar. Ella is living in an apartment her mother-in-law has because her husband died and she needed a place to stay while she sorted out all that was left behind while caring for her daughter. Ragnar has just returned from a family trip with his daughter and is still processing his wife’s death. They end up meeting at the market when they are getting groceries and their daughters get along. Ironically they live across the street from each other and start to allow the girls to play together. Can they become a family and can they let go of l all the baggage m their past marriages? This a wonderful clean read.
This was a tender blessed story of two families getting a second chance. Ragnar wife was killed by a driver, ella husband died, even though they had their issues, she knew he would be there until he wasn’t. Ella and ragnar come together and blended a beautiful family. This was a beautiful written story about love loss, love found. I highly recommend it

Book two in the Color-Blind Love series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Ella had so much to put up with her deceased husband Neil and her in-laws. She meets widower Ragnar who moves in with his daughter Sophie who becomes best friends with her daughter Tiffany. This story had me wanting to slap that Mother and Father-in-law, they where something else, especially all she suffered from her husband. I want to read the next book.
