Re-released in a second edition with new content. The town of Bliss, Colorado, offered Hope McLean a second chance at life, a gift she cherishes every day. Her past was dominated by dark secrets and regret, most of which centered on a man named Christian Grady. All of that was behind her now, years of horror distilled down into the occasional nightmare or a random feeling of being watched. … being watched. Surrounded by new friends, she tried hard to leave the past where it belonged—in the rearview mirror.
Raised together, James Glen and Noah Bennett were the best of friends. They dreamed of growing up in Bliss, finding love, and settling down to share their lives on the Circle G ranch. James would manage the day-to-day operations of the ranch while Noah served the town as the resident veterinarian. Everything was perfectly planned out, until a woman came between them and their future shattered. Noah left Bliss for New York City and James was left to struggle to keep the Circle G alive on his own.
Noah returns to Bliss on a mission to rebuild his life. When he sees Hope, he knows his return home was meant to be. Hope’s kindness shines like a beacon calling him to her. Unfortunately, he isn’t the only man interested in Hope. James is also interested in the beautiful girl with a mysterious past. He can’t be forced to choose between the woman of his dreams and his best friend again.
As romance begins to bloom, a dark specter from Hope’s past returns to claim her. To save Hope, and themselves, James and Noah will have to rebuild the relationship they lost and fight for their future with Hope together.

I love getting lost in Lexi’s stories and getting more of Bliss, Colorado. This time we’re in James’ and Noah’s lives. These two brothers haven’t seen or spoken to each other much in years and now Noah has returned home, hoping to fix what was wrong in his life. His brother doesn’t make things easy for him though. One thing they both can agree on? Protecting and cherishing Hope. I recommend this read and I’m looking forward to Chasing Bliss next!
James and Noah grew up as brothers and seen what their dads and mom had together. That’s what they were supposed to have but one woman took that away from them. When Noah left and turned his back on James and the farm it about about broke James.
He turned into a man-whore and couldn’t find what he was looking for. He didn’t think he’d ever find it then he saw Hope and wanted her immediately but couldn’t have her. What happens when Noah comes home and sees her too?
Will the brothers be able to get over their differences once they see the danger that Hope is in. Will they be able to keep her safe and make her stay? Will she be the one to make them complete or will she be the one to truly rip them apart forever?
I also loved catching up with the other couples that I’ve read about in this series.
What I’ve learned throughout my times in Bliss, Colorado, and its inhabitants is that it’s a place where people can go to start over…to get a new lease on life…to leave the past behind and focus on a present and a future much different than the hell they’ve been through. And each person who enters this safe haven finds sanctuary there, but it also never fails that the darkness follows them as well, placing the townspeople in rather precarious positions but also illustrating just how bonded this small community is when they step up for those who have become some of their own.
I always feel like readers get a better understanding of the characters when they have a history together, and while James Glen and Noah Bennett’s past ended with harsh words and a destroyed friendship/brotherhood, the good memories they shared and all that they endured together always remains amidst the pain.
The lesson that a woman should not come between two friends/two brothers was one that James and Noah didn’t seem to learn the first time around, but now that Noah has returned to Bliss and they, once again, seem to be vying over the same woman, if these two don’t find a way to bridge the divide between them and stop treating Hope like something to possess instead of someone to cherish then these two men might lose the best thing to ever happen to them and to their shattered relationship.
It always seems like the added suspense involved in this series is something that forces the characters’ hands, in a way, to acknowledge their true feelings and to push through the bullshit in order to not only protect the ones they love but also to truly address their issues, making strides to fix their broken parts and fuse them back together knowing that while the memories are still there, the wounds have finally healed.
Noah, James, and Hope are three characters who have their own personal demons to address, but none of them will be able to work through them unless they reveal their secrets and their true feelings, and this is what they struggle with, along with the danger that surrounds Hope when her past pays a visit, throughout the course of the story, and while I would have liked a bit more time spent with these three when they had everything figured out because there was so much to process and heal from, it makes sense that the focus would be on going through the steps to restore Noah and James’ brotherhood and figure out a way to share Hope, knowing that her feelings for both of them are strong enough to sustain them all.

Pure Bliss is #6 in the Nights in Bliss Series. This series was originally written in Lexi Blake’s pseudonym Sophie Oak. I am so happy that Lexi is re-releasing them with new content for those that might have read these books before. Pure Bliss is Hope McLean, James Glen and Noah Bennett’s story.
Hope has a second chance at love in Bliss Colorado. She has fallen on hard times but, the townspeople in Bliss come out to help. James Glen and Noah Bennett are brothers & were friends. A woman came between them and Noah took off with her. He is now back in Bliss and somehow these 2 men need to rebuild their relationship or is it to broken? Also, will another woman come between them? They both have their eyes on Hope.
Another good book to read by this author! I love her stories in the fictitious Bliss! I can’t wait to read more of these stories. So far I love all the books that Sophie Oak aka Lexi Blake has written. 4.5 stars
Five years ago, best friends raised as brothers, taught to share everything, were pulled apart by a woman. Their perfect plan to run the Circle G ranch together was shattered, leaving one to struggle with keeping the ranch afloat and the other to be cheated on and taken for every dime he had by a manipulative gold digger.
Running from her past, Hope finds herself in Bliss, Colorado. It’s a second chance at having a life worth living, other than the occasional nightmare. But, Hope’s past seems to be catching up with her in the worst of ways and Hope knows she may need to run yet again.
Three individuals find themselves at a crossroads. Jamie is feeling stuck, always having done his duty but afraid to embrace the life he was meant to have because he knows how much it will hurt if it is gone. Noah is needing a home now that his divorce is final and returns to Bliss as a prodigal son who may not be welcome. And, Holly is about to run again because she can’t take the chance that her past has caught up with her. But, what happens when their crossroads intersect . . .
As Jamie and Noah try to come to terms with their estrangement, they also find themselves locked in a battle for Hope . . . Will they let another woman tear them apart even further, or will she be the glue that cements their relationship together for good. And, what happens when Hope’s past shows up in Bliss in the form of her sociopathic ex, ready to reclaim her for himself?
Pure Bliss was an absolute delight to read! I loved how different Noah and Jamie were, yet at the same time not. They really were two halves of the same whole, and no matter how angry and hurt they are, they still have each others backs when it counts.
Holly was so strong. Taken by a con artist her used her when she was just a teen, she’s finally broken free from her past and her need to lose herself in a drink to be faced with losing it all again. She needs both Jamie and Noah and they need her just as much, if not more to help them overcome their hurt and become whole once again.
As with every Bliss book, nothing is completely as it seems, and the town itself proves once again to be the best character of all. I love Bliss! Once the town has accepted you as one of their own, you are family. And, the residents of Bliss will do anything to protect those they love . . . even if it makes their small town the murder capital of the world. 5 Stars!
This story, these three, their lingering despair, it brings the tears. But, when they finally figure everything out, it makes it all the more joyous!
Hope and James have been dancing around each other since she came to town. She put herself out there, and he ran away. Once his long lost brother returns to town, and sets his eyes on Hope, Noah isn’t turning her down at all. Of course, her past is right there, causing her to be ready to bolt at any time. Noah already ran away once before, and he doesn’t want to cause James any more pain by sticking around this time. James is staying put, but it seems like everyone just moves on and leaves him behind. Better to hide yourself away than open yourself up to feelings
The emotional side of this story packs a punch. The chemistry is off the charts hot. And there are a few laughing moments as well, after all, it is Bliss. And we get that glimpse into Henry’s alpha-obsessive, dark side, that couldn’t be any sexier *sigh
Pure Bliss is another purely wonderful story that takes place is the quirky town of Bliss, CO. This book is filled with the perfect mix of intrigue, a storyline that will hold you hostage from the beginning to the end and so many memorable characters. This town is has a unique vibe that keeps people wanting to stay once they experience it. Everyone looks out and cares for one another and ménage relationships are all the norm because what could be better than one hot alpha man? Two can definitely be better! Hope can tell you for sure after she falls for the broody, hot rancher, James and his brother Noah, the Vet. James and Noah are having trouble rebuilding their relationship after Noah left years earlier, but they know deep down that they were always meant to share a woman. Now that they both found ‘the one’ they need to work together to keep and protect her.
5 Star Review Pure Bliss (Nights In Bliss Colorado# 6) by Sophie Oak
It was great to revisit Bliss because you get to see glimpses of previous characters and catch up on their lives. I love the quirkiness of the characters who call Bliss home and I cannot wait to see what happens next in Bliss.
Danger is again heading to Bliss and this time it will be Hope McLean who is in danger from her psychotic past and it will be up to James (Jamie) Glen and the man raised as his brother, Noah Bennett to protect her.
We have seen glimpses of Jamie in several previous books and I just knew that there was more to him than just his man-whoring ways. What I hadn’t realized until now was how much Noah leaving him and their ranch, had affected him and felt like such a betrayal and loss.
Jamie doesn’t believe that he has anything to offer Hope and it is not until Noah returns to town and shows interest that he is forced to make his move.
The resentment and tension between Jamie and Noah is palpable whilst reading this book and although Hope does her best to mediate, as do other characters, it is obvious that there is going to be an explosion of emotions. Can Jamie and Noah come to terms with the past and put aside their differences and in doing so create the future with Hope that they have longer for?
Will Hope feel that she can open up to Jamie and Noah and tell them about her horrific past and struggles, or will it destroy her before they get the happiness that they deserve?
