Reagan is the one who got away – or should I say the one I drove away? Now, four years later, she’s back to manage the gym where I train. Seeing her everyday is a distraction I can’t afford. I’m so close to achieving the big payoff I’ve been working for. Nothing’s going to keep me from winning this belt – not even her. This is a second chance MMA romance standalone.
This is my first MMA romance book I have read. I usually read football or hockey romance. However, I loved this book! The intensity of the sport and the sparks between Noah and Reagan kept me glued to this book till the end! I can’t imagine how difficult and stressful it would be to be in love with your trainer’s kid. That’s up there with dating your employer’s kid! The love that Noah and Reagan have for each other is so passionate and powerful. Their love for one another is not a love that you can just move on from. Jacob, You have yet again captured me and made me a bigger fan of yours!
This is an absolutely well written sports romance. Jacob Chance takes you into the world of the MMA, where Noah Nolan is training to work his way up to the top and falls for his trainers daughter Reagan Collins. Noah is forced to make a decision that will cost them both heartaches. When they meet again will they let the past be their ruin? I highly recommend this book.
This is a great written sports romance. Noah is on his way up to the top in the MMA world. His next fight is the one and he can’t be distracted by anything. Well that’s when Reagan his first love comes back into his life. How is this going to work out for him. He broke her heart… is she still hurt and mad… does he care? How will his performance change?
I love the throw backs to there first time together.
It’s a fast paced, steamy, sexy and overall great read. Highly recommend this one
“I am iron. I cannot be broken. I will not be defeated.”
Punched is a stand alone, second chance sports romance by Jacob Chance. I’ve read quite a few of Jacob’s books and this little gem has risen to the top of my favorite list of the sports romances I’ve read of his. The intensity between these two completely took my by surprise and stole my heart.
Noah Nolan is twenty three years old and is a MMA fighter. He still has to work a full time job as a construction worker to support himself. Up until now his fights have all been small time. He’s trained with the same trainer since he started and his big break is finally within his grasp. In just a few weeks, he will be in his first title fight. It’s what he’s been working towards since he began. So he works all day, and trains every night. Every ounce of his focus goes into his training, until “she” walked back into his life.
Reagan Collins is twenty two years old and has just graduated from college. She’s back in town living with her parents who just happens to be Noah’s trainer, while she looks for an apartment. Her father has hired her to take over the business side of the gym where he trains so he can have more time with his clients. Reagan has been gone for four years. She hoped he wouldn’t still be training with her father. But on her first day, there he is, eyes drilling right into her. She had convinced herself it wouldn’t matter, that she was over him. But all it took was a split second, and she knew, she wasn’t over him at all.
Reagan and Noah were high school sweethearts. There love was intense and wonderful and everything. But then Noah broke her heart. He broke things off like she never mattered at all. Now she’s back and no matter how hard both of them try to stay away from each other, that same chemistry, that same pull is still there.
“You’re the sun in my world, Ray. You light up all my days and take away the darkness.”
These two! I’m sighing just from typing this. I loved them. I could feel their love coming off the pages. I love when that happens! We get little flash backs throughout the book so we know what happened four years prior. I felt so bad for both of them. And I adored watching them fall all over again. This was such a wonderful book. It took me forever to get around to reading it and now I’m mad at myself for taking so long. I truly hope you’ll grab this one and give it a go. I hope you fall in love, just as I did.
Jacob Chance is quickly becoming a new favorite author. There are so many sports romance books on the market and at times they run together and get lost in the shuffle. Jacob brings a new perspective. Great storyline that hooked me from the beginning. I can’t wait for more by this author.
Noah has a promising career as an MMA and Reagan is his trainer’s daughter. When dad sees the attraction, is he able to put a halt to it?
Jacob Chance’s sports themed books are well written and always draw you in.
Looking for a cute second chance romance, then this is it! With very little angst, Noah and Reagan are two sexy young adults who found their true love as teenagers then were separated to pursue their own goals. Four years later they reunite and have their happy ending.
I enjoyed this so much! This is my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. The characters caught your attention. Noah is the bad boy with a past that doesn’t think he deserves the good girl Ray. But their story is sweet and sexy and everything you expect from true loves. Time and distance didn’t lessen their love and it was great seeing how they were going to get past the heartbreak.
Damn I loved this book. Although I love everything Jacob writes. Punched has romance, humor, and passion. I couldn’t out it down. This is a must read.
I loved this book by Jacob Chance! It was a fast paced, steamy second chance love story that had me hooked from the beginning. I was so mad when I found out the reason Noah and Reagan split up. I wanted so badly for them to find their happy ever after. I was able able to read this book in one sitting, perfect for a quick afternoon read!
Once again Jacob continues to write another sports romance hit. This one is about MMA, and like his other books his knowledge comes into play for readers who know nothing or very little about the sport. Throw in a guy who purposely broke his girl’s heart at the start of his career, and you have a great read.
Noah broke up with Reagan, thinking she deserves someone better than an up-and-coming fighter. Fast forward years later and Reagan is back, working in the same gym where Noah trains, but her head & heart know better than to let him back in her life. With Reagan’s dad as his trainer, Noah knows he needs to step it up & prove to Reagan he is all in this time.
Looking forward to reading Reagan’s sister Carter’s book next!
Punched was a fast paced and short read, and a terrific read at that. I really enjoy the sports romance genre and this book is set within the MMA scene. Jacob kept the perfect the balance of focussing on the sport without losing parts of the story. Punched is a such a great second chance romance! I adored Noah and Reagan. The pair are driven, dedicated, determined, love fiercely, and are destined for wonderful things.
Whilst there is some MMA content, there’s a whole lot of romance. Whenever Reagan and Noah are together, the chemistry is off the charts and scorching hot. It’s patently clear that the two of them belong and are destined to be together. I loved the flashback sequences that told the back story of these two characters.
This is a great, fast paced story that will have you devouring and turning every page. Brilliant stuff!
Oh man! Another great read by Jacob Chance. Sweet and sexy second chance romance. Noah Nolan is a MMA star on the rise. He trains hard and is dedicated to his craft. But when former sweetheart, Regan Collins, comes back into town and into his life will Noah be able to win her back?
If you enjoy MMA then you will love Punched.
First book I’ve read of Jacob’s and I’ll definitely be reading more of his work. This was an MMA sports romance. Reagan’s father Jimmy is the owner/coach of an MMA gym. She is his youngest daughter and the only one who takes any interest in his work. Noah has the potential to go all the way but needs to stay focused. In one night he takes Reagan to her prom, steals her virginity and breaks her heart by telling her it’s over he has to focus on his career. Four years later Reagan walks back into the gym and his life. He has to focus on the fight of his life but can’t stop thinking about her. Reagan decides payback may be the way to go. If she can have sex but not let him know how he affects her and then walk away from him.
I went back to read this story after I read Drive. When I found out the support characters had their own stories prior to this I wanted to find out how they got where they were. Boy am I glad. This was very enjoyable & I’m glad I went back.
I love HEAs. I recommend this book to anyone else that does too. Punched, Penalty & Drive can be read as standalones but if you’re like me & have a bit of OCD with timelines then you’ll want to read them in order – Penalty, Punched & Drive – unlike me, but still so worth it.
Punched is a sweet second chance at love between Noah and Reagan, they get together as teens break up then reunite 4 yrs later as young adults. Jacob did a fantastic job writing this book, flowed so smoothly that I had it read in a few hours. It’s always a pleasure to read Jacobs books!
I love a good Sports Romance book,
And Punched was exactly that. I loved the storyline and the Characters. Jacob did a great job of hooking you in to the story.
I’m sure most of us girls have been Reagan at some point when we were younger and the heartbreak that Noah and Reagan faced is what kept me riveted needing to know why. Noah and his Smooth talking dirty mouth had me swooning. I love that it is written in Dual perspectives so that you fully understand the characters.
I would happily recommend Punched to anyone that love a Sports Romance or wanting to try one. This book is one sexy read.
So I read Punched as part of a blogs group read and discussion that I joined so that I could talk about a book I was reading, most of my friends and I don’t always read the same books at the same times so it was nice to be able to talk about it.
Punched is a second chance romance about Noah Nolan (No-No) and Reagan Collins. Noah is a MMA fighter working towards getting his title match. He’s made many sacrifices to get to where he is and Reagan was one of those. Reagan is the daughter of the gym owner where Noah trains. After Noah breaks her heart she leaves for college across the country, but 4 years later she’s returned and is now working for the gym.
Their struggle is real, she’s fighting her feelings to avoid another broken heart and he’s fighting his because he feels he isn’t good enough for her. But the story takes you on a journey that you need to read to find out where it goes!
Usually with most books I can guess where things were going and I love the fact that Jacob Chance blew me away with two parts of the book that I was not expecting. I’m pleasantly surprised with the fact that Mr Chance was able to throw me while reading, not many authors have been able to do this for me since I am such an avid reader.
Awesomeness
Im going with 4.5 stars. I love a good MMA read and Punched did not disappoint. Noah and Reagan’s story is about second chances and if it’s meant to be it will be. When we were given the point of view through Noah I liked experiencing the behind the scenes of training and although it was heartbreaking what happens to these two in their past. Reagan is one strong woman and I admire that about her, she is standing up for herself and going after what she wants. The chemistry between these two clearly has been on the back burner for a few years but instantly picks back up. I was expecting things to take a turn at one point but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. We’re given a great story from the beginning all the way to the ending that flowed seamlessly and kept a steady pace. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
