I cannot give a single bad review to any of the books in this series, they are all so very well written and keep you guessing till the very end. Pumpkin Patch Murder did not disappoint , not only do I love the mystery, the bit of romance but also all the fun and sometimes quirky characters that help bring these stories together. The scenery also pulls you in and makes you want to go visit this lovely town, its quaint shops, beautiful homes and of course the people. Every time a new book is released in this series I jump at a chance to read it, they are so entertaining and if you love a good Cozy Mystery with a little romance, a tight knit community and of course some mayhem this book as well as the others in the series are not to be missed. Each book is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Do yourself a favor and read them all, you won”t be disappointed!

The Wicked and Food families are back. Yay!!!! Most the the books have been light mysteries, so I was surprised there was an actual murder. It was a welcomed surprise. I was glad that Daniel had a case to solve that didn’t involve magic. That being said, Moira and her family came through as usual. They are hilarious, especially the twins, and I’m glad to learn about her brothers. I was surprised that Nathan is in a budding relationship and hope that we hear more about it.

Halloween is coming to Charm Cove and with it more than the usual trick or treats. Moira Wicked and her Husband Liam Good take her twin nieces to the pumpkin patch to find their pumpkins for Halloween. Unfortunately the twins find a dead man instead. Now the Wickeds and the Goods help the police to try and find the murderer so Halloween can go back to being fun again.
This is another great addition to the Wicked Good Mystery Series. It is a delightfully whimsical cozy paranormal mystery with zany characters and storyline full of creative magic. The characters are so vibrant they seem to pop off the page. The narrative and dialogue are great. It has a whimsical feel that you can only get from touristy small towns filled with kooky characters, creative town events and magic. The mystery itself is filled its surprises, twists, dangers and unexpected turns that keep you engaged until the end. This is another wonderful cozy mystery from a great series. If you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries then give this series a try.

For the first time in a long while there is a murder in Charm Cove. Daniel is busy, trying to solve the case and not always appreciating the help he receives from his witchy family. Still Moira and her gang help wherever they can. In addition to the murder case there is a new face in town, and a new romance blooming.
Like all the other stories set in Charm Cove, charming and entertaining.

Moira and Liam are married, a body is found in the pumpkin patch and Moira is on the case. I am loving this series and especially love getting to visit all the quirky characters at Charm Cove. This is a well written book with likable characters and a mystery that kept me turning the pages.
I love this series. Moira and Liam are finally married but that doesn’t mean that everything is going to be well for Moira and Liam. Moira goes to the pumpkin patch and finds another dead body so she has to investigate.

Even to families like the Smittys who pretend to know nothing about the paranormal world, it is pretty clear that Charm Cove is magical. That does not prevent discord though.
When a trip to a local pumpkin patch ends with the twins finding a body, murder is definitely afoot- and no magical mistakes involved.
Mrs. Smitty, a local long time teacher, claims the witches must have something to do with the death of her husband. Since he was bashed on the head, a more mundane explanation is likely.
The Goods, the Wickeds and extended friends and family assist with finding clues and suspects. Some added romance adds additional twists to the story.
Charm Cove is really a wicked good place to live! Awesome KU mystery and romantic adventure story- with a touch of paranormal!

So Married life begins, but that does not mean anything in Charm Cove where a name means nothing! The Wicked are Good and the Good are too! (Sometimes!)
As Hallows eve approaches Moira take Celia and Delia to pick out a pumpkin, instead they find a dead body! The victims wife blames the Witches , but considering she has denied the Supernatural, that seems odd!!
Chief of police Daniel Levesque (Who is married to Moira’s best friend Zoe) starts to investigate with Moira and co not far behind!
This is another great entry into this brilliant series, it is not a long read but it is a good one, as are most of the Charm Cove books, I love all the characters and with each book we find out a little more about the quirks of each, Celia and Delia are my favourites, the twins are into everything, and it seems like we are watching them come of age! Each book feels like I am enjoying myself with family, as I root for the good guys against the bad!
I you have not read any of the Wicked Good series, you can just jump right in, but I highly recommend you start at book 1 to get the whole picture and not just a snapshot!

Moria and Liam finally get married but that doesn’t mean all is well in Charm Cove. A wonderfully fun, magical place to visit. I have enjoyed this whole series and look forward to what more may come from this author.

Hi Ghost! I love the ‘trick’ in this book. I was actually thinking that could be at the beginning . So since my brain was thinking that not everything is as it seems , I was able to figure out who done it early on. Did get a little surprise in my theory.
Always a fun, extremely enjoyable and easy to read story. always happy to see a new book by this author. You will too. I did not realize how much I enjoy this series till I read one. there is an excerpt for a book in January 2020 and I do not think that I can wait that long to read it. It has me so intrigued. January 2020 come now!!!
You may read this book before reading the rest of the series and follow the story line fine. I highly recommend reading the series, not only will you love it , but getting to know the characters and all the family dynamics is great. Warning though: if you plan to do so and do not want to know some of the who done it from previous books then be careful with this one. There are a few references that could give you the answer ahead of reading them.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
The Pumpkin Patch Murder by Lucy May is another great cozy mystery from Charming Cove. Ms. May, weaves together multiple plots smoothly, moving from light suspense to laughter of the antics of the loveable, eccentric witchy citizens of Charming Cove.
Halloween is approaching and the newlyweds, Moira and Liam, take their twin cousins out to the Pumpkin Patch to get a pumpkin or two or more. Almost immediately the twins find a dead body. Practically before the police can start investigating, the victim’s wife starts telling everyone that one of those witches killed her husband — Strange accusations from someone who has always denied the existence of witches. As things progress, a piece of construction equipment vanishes. Is this connected to the Murder? The more the investigation of the murder continues, the more strange things come to light. Are they all connected, or just coincidence.
Again, this series gets five stars for keeping me interested and entertained in a fun and relaxing cozy manner. Remember, you can expect anything and everthing to involve a Wicked or a Good.
Moira Wicked and Liam Good have finally gotten married and are ready to start their life together. Halloween is fast approaching in Charm Cove, Maine, so Moira takes her twin cousins to pick out pumpkins. When a murder occurs in the local pumpkin patch and Celia finds the body, it is up to Moira to solve the case. Who would want to kill Vernon Smitty? When Mrs. Smitty says “it has to be one of the witches”, the police chief is stumped as to where to start his investigation.
Just like the previous books in this series, the book is well-written and was a fast enjoyable read. You have a little bit of everything from mystery, supernatural, suspense, humor, and even a tad bit of romance.
Another Excellent Visit to Charm Cove
I don’t know how many books I have read in Lucy May’s Charm Cove series, but I have found every one of them a delight. I love seeing a new book in the series pop up at my favorite book review site. No matter how busy I am, I have to pick it up. One of the things that I appreciated about this story was that the murder happened right at the beginning, before the 10% mark. It is definitely a danger with cozy mysteries, delaying the murderer or the crime and filling much of the first part of the book with a look at the quirky community that cozy mysteries always have. I have seen the murder take place as late as almost to 50% mark, though that is extreme. But having such a crucial moment in a murder mystery take place so late doesn’t allow time for the mystery to develop. But that doesn’t happen here. We’re two months past the Wicked-Good wedding, and the newlyweds are embroiled in the murder because the two girls that they had taken to a pumpkin patch found the dead body. So the whole gang gets involved in this murder, though it is apparently not magical in nature. The book had some good twists and turns, which I love in a mystery. The cozy part was not ignored either, and I enjoy watching the interactions of the Charm Cove residents. I like that the author is able to write description in such a way that she places you there in the scenes, but it doesn’t seem like it is too much. Another enjoyable trip to Charm Cove.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
