Moira Wicked and Liam Good have started their married life together, but that doesn’t mean that all is well in Charm Cove, Maine. With All Hallows Eve quickly approaching, Moira heads off to meet Liam and pick out a pumpkin with her twin teenage cousins, only for Celia to find a dead body in the pumpkin patch — and Moira is right in the thick of things again!
They identified the body as Vernon Smitty. Someone had hit him over the head. Daniel Levesque, Charm Cove’s police chief, along with two of his deputies, interviewed everyone and asked them to return to the police station. Mrs. Smitty ran in and immediately accused “one of those witches” of the crime, an odd remark for someone who denied the supernatural. Where will the police chief begin his search? For the moment, there seems to be nowhere to begin looking!
This is such a terrific series that is so much fun to read! If you’re a fan from the start of the series, the characters of the town are old friends to the reader by now. The story lines keep getting better, keeping the reader on high alert as unexplainable things happen all around. This murder is a touch different since it doesn’t appear to be magical. Get your copy and see if you can sort out the murderer before Moira and her friends can, and be ready to be surprised!
When a body is found in the pumpkin patch, newlywed witch Moira with the help of her husband Liam, help solve the mystery. Can be read as a stand-alone but is so much better if you have read other books in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cozy Coastal Maine Paranormal Mystery
This witchy mystery continues the stories of the Wicked family and the Good family. This book stands alone quite well. The reader will enjoy the story more by reading these books in order and having the full perspective of what has happened before. I love this series and am excited to hear that there will be a spin-off series. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
This book picks up 2 months after Moira and Liam’s wedding. They take the twins to the Pumpkin Patch to get pumpkins for home and the twins. They never thought the twins would find a dead body.
There hasn’t been a murder in Charming Cove in a long time. This is a non-magical murder.
With no real clues or clear cut suspects, Moira and gang decide to help investigate the crime. They find a few suspects, they will slowly find their way to the truth. They were not expecting the person they found to be the one who did the deed.
This was an entertaining read, look forward to another book in this series

After the twins find a dead body in a pumpkin patch, it’s time for the witches to start investigating!
I like this series a lot! Great characters, fast, fun read, witchcraft, murder, what’s not to like?

A town full of magical people with a few normal people thrown in make this a very interesting story. Moira and her husband Liam, have taken twin magical girls, Celia and Delia, to the Pumpkin patch to find pumpkins. Little did they know it they would find more than just pumpkins. When one of the twins scream they all run to find out why. A dead body in the pumpkin patch was more than they bargained for when they went to get pumpkins. The deceased just happens to be one of the normal folk in town. Moira can’t resist trying to figure things out but she isn’t the only one. It seems like most of the witches and warlocks of the Good and Wicked Families will jump in to find out the truth about what happened. They will uncover information that will give the truth hunt a couple of good twists and turns. This is a unique story in the respect that it involves so many coming together to solve the mystery. It makes it a very enjoyable read.

Pumpkin Patch Murder
Wicked Good Mystery Series Book 7
Lucy May
I just love this series. Moira and Liam always have me tied up in knots wondering what should be happening with them!! These cozy mysteries are my favorites. I gobble them right up start to finish. The whole cast holds your attention as they try to solve the murder of the day – you can’t miss a one. Great!!
As you know from the previous books, Moira and Liam had to get married to to keep peace between the Good and Wicked families. Now newlyweds, they are settling into married life, until……………………A trip to the pumpkin patch with the twins. What do they find among the pumpkins? A dead body. The deceased’s wife is blaming his death on “those witches”. So here they go again another murder to solve, at least this one doesn’t have anything to do with magic, despite what the wife thinks. Another great book, they are more fun if you read them in order, but you don’t have to. I love Charm Cove and hope the next series is just as good.

Pumpkin Patch Murder #7 – This quickly read murder mystery is a good addition to this series. It takes place about two months after M&L married. As always the author blend the old and new storylines into an interesting read, while the characters entertain the reader with their lives, oh and solving the murder. There is definitely a good bit of romance in air. There is an overview and a peek at a new series related to this one. I found this author and her books on Booksprout. 4*
Wicked Good Series:
Destiny’s A Witch #1 – I like this book better than Witch You Wouldn’t Believe and Witch is When it Gets Crazy. The witches and warlocks are likable and their dialog realistic. I’m happy to see a male is called a warlock instead of witch (PC is so stupid with the sexes). Well written, clean but with sexual attraction makes this story entertaining. Add mischievous teenage witches, nosy friends and family on top of family pressure to do the Destiny thing, while determining if a death was an accident or a murder, leaves the main characters in all types of states. Never mind if there’s a second chance for them or it is Destiny, there’s a lot of happenings. Pretty good story without the usual stupid drama found in a lot of this genre. 4*
Hex Me Not #2 – Another interesting book in the Wicked Good Mystery Series. The witches and warlocks are still likable, interesting and entertaining. The background storylines continue while the main mystery keeps the reader immersed in the quickly read, well thought plot. The story moves along a steady moving pace, is clean and without the usual stupid drama found in a lot of books of this genre. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Spells and Silver Bells #3 – Another good addition to the Wicked Good Mystery series! I found this book more intriguing and suspenseful than its predecessors. The characters are interesting and likable, and the regulars steady grow along with the stories. The storylines, original and new, are interesting and intelligent. This book is a bit more substantial and took a bit longer to figure out the villains, but I did miss the main reason, which was…. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing about a book before I read it. These books can be read out of sequence, but the storylines are build from the first book on, although all are standalones, no cliffhangers. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 4*
The Great Maple Caper #4 – Pretty good mystery and plenty of “when is the wedding”. The storylines contain a few kinks and an addition of a rather nice character (my favorite over many). The twins are still being themselves and trying to help investigate as well as solve a puzzle. All the characters are performing their duties while the ladies keep asking “when is the wedding?”, driving Moira nuts. I like the sexual tension that’s between Moira and HISNAME; it’s not about body parts and hot this and hot that, but what is felt. The reader knows the power of their love without the trash aspect and inyourfacecontinuously. More of the powers of the witch families are revealed while trying to solve the mystery. The pace is fast and the descriptions keep the reader immersed in the story. There’s humor and a good dose of suspense, rather well done. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I contacted the author to review her books and received this book through Booksprout. 4*
Oopsy Daisy #5 – Entertaining and intriguing and filled with pretty flowers, OK may be too many pretty flowers. Fast paced with plenty of humor and intrigue, along with more questions about the wedding, this was a quickly read book. The characters are good and believable and the mystery they work together on is kinda funny. It is hard to write a review on this series without turning it into a book report. Try to read them sequentially, but standalone works well, too. There are only a couple of series that I really enjoy about witches and this is one of them. I contacted the author to review her books and received this one through Booksprout. 4*
Siren Song Gone Wrong #6 – This story follows a different track since there are no murders in this mystery, which was interesting and made for an enjoyable read. Not going to talk about the wedding plans, you will have to find out for yourself. The author does her usual good job with her writing style and good descriptions and interesting characters. While not necessary, it is worth reading the complete series from the first book. There is an overview of the story, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I contacted the author to review her books and received this book through Booksprout. 4*
Wicked Good Series end.
