He’s a sexy Irishman that likes to make me breakfast in nothing but his boxer briefs. Meet Eoghan Murrough, my new roommate.JULIEMoving to Ireland has been my dream come true. I’ve managed a killer job, new friends, and a flat above the hottest pub in Cork. The ruggedly handsome roommate wasn’t part of my plan. Every time he takes me out on his motorcycle so I can photograph Ireland, he grows … me out on his motorcycle so I can photograph Ireland, he grows increasingly irresistible.
But we had an agreement…just friends.
EOGHAN
I confess it. I want Juliana Rodriguez.
But we made a foolish agreement to be friends. So, it’s got to be her choice. Her move.
I’ll wait. I’ll be the best person I can be for her. The friend she needs after a hard day at work, the sounding board for her ideas, the fun mate that pulls her on the dance floor, the handy-man, the chef, the muscle, the softy, the constant and consistent force she can rely on. I’ll be her everything.
If you’ve ever dreamed of falling in love in Ireland, then this standalone romance is for you.

This is a new-to-me author, but I love the cover and book description enough that now I’m dying to read it. Adding it to my TBR pile!
This novel! :grips heart: I just absolutely loved it from the first line to the very last. Talk about a book that grips you emotionally. This is the story of Julie who is transferred to Ireland from America for a new job. She meets a sexy taxi driver Eoghen. Except he is just a taxi driver for his family that day. He really is a pub owner. Instantly they click and he becomes her lifesaver in this new to her country. Especially when her new boss Aiden becomes totally not who she thought he was. They end up being flatmates. They start their relationship off as just friends but it’s plain to see to EVERYONE that they are going to end up so much more. As they grow closer they realize how much they really need each other. They encourage each other to do things that make themselves happy. But when it counts the most they make mistakes that could cost them everything they have built with each other. This was an emotional read. Nothing heartbreaking but as the reader you will become emotionally invested. I fell in love with these characters instantly and they still grip my heart. I want to go to Ireland and hang out at the pub with them! Ellie Malouff did an amazing job making the reader fall in love with Ireland. I definitely am adding it to places to visit in my life. Her descriptions made me feel like I was there. And she did an amazing job with the POV of Julie and Eoghen. I could hear his accent in her writing. This book is another to add to my favorites. I swear every time I read something by her I fall more in love with her writing. I can’t shout loud enough that this is a must read!
I loved Eoghan! He’s my dreamy Irish lad with a heart of gold.
I loved seeing him fall for Julie. His protectiveness over his lass… *swoon*
I wish they hadn’t fought their feelings for so long but then there wouldn’t really be a story, right?
I fell for Liam too. I’m really hoping that we get a spin off series for the boys of “Stormy Crickets.” *cough* HINT HINT, ELLIE! *cough*
Things to know:
*Roommates/friends to lovers.
*Eoghan is pronounced like Owen.
*Takes place in Ireland. (You’re sold right there, aren’t you?)
*This is the third book of the series but you don’t have to read the others before this one.
*You must prefer Murphy’s over Guinness for Eoghan to like you.
*You should listen to Dermot Kennedy while reading… (Ellie had his song playing for a teaser on IG and now I’m obsessed with him.)
Now on to me being a bummer…
The only thing that really didn’t work for me was the speed of the book. I seriously felt like things were moving really fast but I wasn’t getting anywhere in the book. Like is it possible for a book to move really fast but really slow at the same time?
I feel like I’m not making sense but that’s just how I felt. Things were moving, events were happening, but I was still in the same place.
You can never go wrong with a hot Irishman as one of the main characters and his name Eoghan says it all! Julie has finally managed to land her career job in Ireland a dream that has come true. When she and Eoghan her roommate they agree that they will only be friends. Agreements can be broken under the right circumstances and going by the heated chemistry between Julie and Eoghan it’s just a matter of time! This story will grab your attention right from the beginning and have you wanting your own Irishman!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So much more than a simple love story, this book was an amazing blend of discovery, tension, and satisfaction
Be still my heart, this story was amazing. Five stars just isn’t sufficient to convey its awesomeness. Ireland’s tourism board should be promoting the crap out of this book, because by the time I was done reading it I was ready to hop on a plane to Cork, if for nothing else than the beautiful scenery and a Guinness. Or a Murphy’s. I don’t care. And I don’t even like beer. That’s how good this book was. How deliciously descriptive. And I haven’t even started on the likewise deliciously gorgeous Irishmen (though I’m a sucker for those too).
Seriously, though, this book wasn’t just an amazing love story (though it was also that). It was two people’s considerably complex lives unfolding toward a share destiny, and it was beautifully done. I laughed, cried, and shouted at this book. I was seriously on edge as the pages dwindled, trying to trust in Ellie’s capable storytelling that all would be well, but there were several subplots, and the main romance, all to be resolved and … well, I should’ve just trusted Ellie. She had it masterfully in hand, and I was not disappointed. I’m seriously thinking about starting an Ellie Malouff fan club. So. Freaking. Good. In homage to a woman who is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors period … gimme the next book please! *Grabby hands*
Another beauty from Ellie Malouff. As with her previous two novels in this series, the escapism factor was near perfect. The descriptions of Ireland were stunning. This locale was new for me. But Malouff is a pro at pulling you in no matter where, and truly making you feel like you’re there walking the street alongside the characters. Julie gave me the full newbie Ireland experience.
The parts that truly hooked me were when Julie and Eoghan became roommates and proper friends. Loved their chemistry and that push pull feeling of being “just friends,” but wanting much more. Their connection was undeniable. Couldn’t get enough of his detailed descriptions of what he felt for her early on, and how he saw her. Eoghan…is a great male lead.
For me, a noticeable difference is that this book felt much more poetic than her first 2. Incredibly heartbreaking at points, but one of the sweetest romance novels through and through. Definitely check out Pull at my Heart!
Ellie Malouff has knocked it out of the park yet again!!! The Love Overseas series has a permanent place among my favorite romances. I was hooked after book one, smitten after book two, and blown away by book three!
Once again, as a reader, I felt completely immersed in a foreign culture, and I am in absolute awe of Malouff’s worldbuilding prowess. I don’t remember the last time I read anything that truly made me feel as though I was THERE with the characters. I don’t have an ear for accents, but I had no problem imagining the Irish brogue, and not just in the dialogue.
I’ve pulled hard for all of the couples in this series, especially Jake and Audrey from book one. I didn’t expect to have my heart stolen to a greater degree by Julie and Eoghan, but boy, was I wrong. My face hurt from smiling so hard when Julie made the right decision at the end. *swoon*
Malouff has made a lifelong reader and fangirl out of me. If she’s writing, I’m reading!
