Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.
Miller thinks he’s … thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.
Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he’s going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

“I miss everything about her even though she’s right in front of me. Maybe this is what love is.”
Buck just light my world on fire. I’m just speechless!
I don’t think there are enough words in this world to describe the amazingness of this story.
We finally got to see the infamous Miller Butterson in all his shades . Seeing how much he has growth , how far he has come is just too much to take in.
He has finally found his match, after his difficult past filled with scandals and so many girls, he is now ready to settle down .
He has found his match, but the road to the HEA is long and filled with difficulties.
His past follows him everywhere, no matter what he does to avoid it. And that has the potential to ruin something beatiful.
“You can’t control other people’s feelings. All you can do is put yourself out there and hope she’s going to feel the same way.”
Sunny Sunshine, is the most sincere, lovely and free spirited girl ever.
She has a beautiful soul , she loves the nature ,and somehow she fell for an hockey player. The most talked about, the playboy.
But since they first meet something happened , it was like a spark.
Their journey wasn’t easy, there was always something in the way, but then fate worked his magic and it was all just meant to be.
“There are no refunds and no exchanges with love. It comes with flaws and imperfections. It’s raw, unfiltered, and sometimes it isn’t easy.”
I just loved it.
I gave it 5 stars.
I hope you’ll enjoy it like I did!
Why am I just now reading this series? I’ve been told about by a few people but finally started it. It’s so good that I’m having to make myself read something in between each book instead of plowing through the whole series. u2063

First off I think ‘Pucked’ series should come with a warning saying: ‘You will be laughing out loud while reading these books, so make sure you are not in public’ Even though, I wasn’t laughing as much as I did while reading ‘Pucked’, I still laugh out loud couple of times and got the looks from the people around me, but it was definitely worth it. ‘Pucked Up’ is the second book of the ‘Pucked’ series and it is about Miller ‘Buck’ Butterson and Sunshine ‘Sunny’ Waters.
Buck is Violet’s stepbrother (Heroine of ‘Pucked’), who is a hockey player and because of his man-slut reputation and due to his last bathroom stall activity with his coach’s niece that went viral in media, he gets traded to the Hawks. I loved Buck’s and Violet’s relationship in ‘Pucked’. He was supportive and protective but other than his relationship with Violet, I had an image of a man-slut jock in my mind but that image was vanished while reading ‘Pucked Up’ and Buck became one of my favorite heros. He is honest, sweet, protective, and has a big heart. Sunny is Alex’s sister (Hero of ‘Pucked’), who is getting her masters and also a yoga instructor. She is sweet, beautiful and innocent. Because of her brother she is well aware of the NHL life style and all the temptation so when Buck shows interest, she is not sure of his intentions.
On the other hand, Buck is tired of the puck bunnies and the lifestyle. He wants to have a committed relationship but what he doesn’t consider is the time and effort a relationship requires and also Sunny living in Canada and him travelling all the time makes everything harder. But he wants to show Sunny that he is a changed man and they can have a relationship just like Violet and Alex but somehow he always ends up in unfortunate situations. Alex and Sunny’s best friend Lily being not supportive of their relationship and Buck’s misleading pictures keep popping up on social media makes it harder for Sunny to fully trust Buck and their relationship. Will Buck be able to show Sunny and everyone around them that he is a changed man and he is sincere about Sunny? That is for you to find out
‘Pucked Up’ was written in Miller’s POV. I wish this book was written from dual POV too. I would have love to read some parts of the book from Sunny’s POV but overall I really enjoyed reading ‘Pucked Up’. If you are looking for a sweet, charming and funny read, you will definitely enjoy reading ‘Pucked Up’.
Would I recommend this book: Yes
Would I re-read this book: Already did
Would I read future books by this author: Yes
An absolutely adorable story. Miller and Sunny’s banter is infectious, witty and super charming. This is a wonderfully entertaining story
The 2nd book in this fabulous Hockey series by Helena Hunting.
This is Miller “Buck” Butterson and Sunny Waters complicated Love story.
Known for being a manwhore,Miller for the first time wants something more than the constant revolving flings that he has been having, and he wants it with Sunny his team mates little sister. But he can’t seem to catch a break, everything that could go wrong does go wrong jeopardising all his good intentions.
I felt so bad for him as I read,he was always self deprecating and critisizing himself and I just wanted to hug him all the time. All the good he tries to do was always taken the wrong way,and his manwhore status reputation haunts his budding relationship with Sunny. As she finds it difficult to cope with the baggage of Miller and his bad rep.
It was so interesting getting to know Miller and how he thought and felt about everything that was happening.
There was so much greatness to this story and lots of content Hilarious moments, emotional moments and happy moments.
I really enjoyed reading this story and it captivated me right from the start…the characters I fell in love with, the story is wonderful and so so entertaining.
I LOVED It and I cannot wait for the next one
This was such a cute book. Buck (Miller) was such a sweet well meaning guy once he put away his player attitude. He really worked hard for Sunny. Sunny was so sweet and it was fun to see Alex & Sunny’s parents. They are quite a pair. Buck and Suuny are a cute pair their story is a sweet one.
Miller “Buck” Butterson is a special kind of soul. I have a soft place for him after reading his story. We get the story from his point of view, which I think makes the story that much better. You understand him.
At the end of Pucked, we saw the start of Miller’s and Sunny’s relationship so I was excited to see how Helena would tone down the yeti.
While this book is a little slow to start, it gives you the background needed. And of course we get lots of Helena humor as always.
If you’ve read Pucked, I highly recommend reading about Miller and Sunny. But if you haven’t, I still highly recommend reading about Miller and Sunny. You won’t regret it.
Miller and Sunny’s story is just as entertaining as their siblings’. They have incredible chemistry and are so adorable and cute together. Again, Helena Hunting shows off her talent to write a funny story with deeper grounds that flows absolutely and perfectly well. If I wasn’t sold on the Pucked world already, this book would have done the trick.
What a shock….obnoxious sports figures, immature women and obvious sexual situations. Nope. Liked the first in the series, this was awful. Not a mature adult in the entire story. Sunny acted like a child through the entire book Miller should have ran. Far and fast.
I have a confession to make…I didn’t like Buck in the first book. At all. Other than punching Alex in the face when he broke his sister’s heart, something all brothers are obligated to do in my opinion, I didn’t see any redeeming qualities.
However, I really liked Miller. Ok, ok, I know it’s technically the same person – Miller “Buck” Butterson, but hear me out. “Buck” definitely lived up to his off-ice persona of being popular with the bunnies. Miller was like a completely different person, especially with Sunny. You could tell he really liked her and this wasn’t just another conquest for him. Watching him bond with the kids at the hockey camp was heartwarming, something I never thought I’d say after meeting him in the first book.
Sunny was so sweet and I loved that it was Miller’s nickname for her, “sweets.” Though Sunny was likable, I didn’t enjoy the fact that she let Lily’s and Alex’s opinion of Miller cloud her own judgement…but then we wouldn’t have had the reconciliation opportunity at the end, so I get it.
Overall, I enjoyed Miller and Sunny’s story and loved that we get set up for Lily and Randy in the next book.
This story annoyed the hell out of me and was such a disappointing follow up after reading Violet and Alex’s story. I didn’t totally dislike Miller and I honestly felt bad for him. While at the beginning of this book he put himself in situations for things to become misconstrued and look out of context, others were not his fault. Although, it would have been nice if every time the man walked outside without Sunny the moment wasn’t turned into some form of a disaster.
Sunny was annoying as hell and I really didn’t care for the level of insecurity she had. Granted her family treating her like a baby at 20 years old wasn’t helpful either. It’s clear that Sunny Sunny really liked Miller from their great conversations and how much they got to know one another. This book starts at a point where Sunny’s best friend has informed her of Miller’s past manwhore ways and now Sunny is acting like she has no idea who Miller is and never trusts him and taking every single picture of him on the internet at mistrust and jumping to conclusions. It got old real fast. I felt bad for Miller because he never had a shot half time between her jumping at an opportunity to distrust him and listening to her best friend and brother’s judgments make all the decisions for her in their relationship. Also, I didn’t like that she ran away anytime Miller tried to explain anything to her, especially when not then those times involved being around her douchebag ex.
Pucked Up was disappointing and I would have loved to see something more and better between Miller and Sunny, but I didn’t completely dislike it I guess. So I gave it a solid ,”its just ok” 3 stars.
This story was so sweet and spicy. The connection was amazing and the heart of Bucky just poured love into my heart and overfilled it. I loved hearing about his struggles. Having a book completely in the male’s point of view was so different and so worth the read!
This series finally came to KU so I decided to jump on in. Boy I am glad I did!

Miller has been a man whore for the last five years. Puck bunnies or hockey hookers are an everyday occurrence and he always lets them know what they are in for. Lots of orgasms and a cab ride home. They know the score and it has worked for him, up until he meets Sunny.
Sunny is the younger sister of Alex, Miller’s team Captain. She is everything the puck bunnies aren’t and for the first time, Miller is thinking long term. However, the media likes to sensationalize and paint Miller in an unfavorable light. Will she be able to tame Miller, or will the constant parade of women on his social media doom them before they get started? Perception is a b!7ch, and all every one sees of Miller is a man whore.
This book had me pucking laughing my butt off! The shenanigans are hilarious. The story was light and fun, and I enjoyed Miller’s rode to becoming a one woman guy. There were some pretty hot sexy times, and a few unfortunate events; a spider, hair removal cream, poison ivy and a happily ever after,
I recommend if you are looking for a lol romcom! I personally, will be jumping right on it to book 3!
Pucked Up is a sizzling chemistry, laugh-out-loud humor, and plenty of steamy hot sex with a guy who knows what the puck he’s doing. I truly enjoyed reading about these two characters Sunshine and Miller. Its a wonderful well written story and a good storyline. Its a page turner and keep you on your toes. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.
Great characters and a lot of fun!
Miller is Violets brother and Sunny is Alex’s little sister. Miller us interested in Sunny and takes the plunge to start a relationship with her. Even with Alex not giving hot on his heels about dating his baby sister. He knows all the bunnies Miller has hooked up with and is not willing to let his sister get hurt. I was impressed how Miller was willing to throw away his bunny card and be totally committed to Sunny. Unfortunately for him, his past comes back to haunt him. I actually felt bad for Miller because he tried so hard but always got himself in the biggest pickles! Thank God for Violet, she has her brothers back til the end.
Not sure what my deal is waiting to read this series !! I love hockey romances. Love them… and this one is so worth the wait in my reading timeline. The humor and quick one-liners are so great. I normally don’t laugh as much with a book like this. It makes the drama less sad for me.
The relationship I loved to see more in depth is with Buck and Violet. Their brother-sister relationship is so funny and meaningful.. You get some of it in Pucked, but not as much as this book. They truly love each other, and very supportive with each other.. Even when it creates issues with Violet and her fiancé.. Rightfully so. I love that in a family relationship. The family drama is even more interrelated in this book being that Violets fiancé is the brother of the heroine in this book, Sunny. Which makes all of the issues that much more meaningful.
You meet Sunny in Pucked, but her relationship with Buck is not the main focus in that book. Sunny has issues with the media and previous relations that Buck has with the puck bunnies (or hooker bunnies, lol). Trust is important in any relationship but when you throw long-distance and slutty women in the mix, miscommunication happens, and trust and faith become the issue
Buck has always been into one night stands, and puck bunnies galore. He’s never been in a relationship, and dealing with misconstrued media photos and fan photos can create a relationship downfall. The issue is that he truly is getting the short end of the stick. Figuring out how to deal with this, and how to fix the problems that are causing Sunny to question his faith is something he’s never had to deal with. And it’s causing him to question everything.
This book is so worth reading. I am so in love with all of these characters. I cannot wait to read the next one.
This is book 2 of the Pucked series and can be read as a stand alone. Buck and Sunny are both young characters at 23 and 20 , and much of the drama between them can be traced back to this youthful immaturity. Though Buck has had more than his share of bunnies, he has never really had a relationship with a woman. Their relationship is complicated by distance, dynamics of Buck and Alex’s teammate status, and Alex’s relationship with Buck’s step sister, Violet. When these factors are combined with a few others, these two have a lot to go through to get their HEA, and it is sometimes painful. This book is unusual because it is written 100% from Buck’s POV. As a result, I felt like I really didn’t get to know Sunny as well as I might have. It was very interesting to have a full understanding of what was going through Buck’s mind, and I do feel like he may not have been as likable if the story was only from Sunny’s POV. I really appreciated the understanding of how Buck’s dyslexia contributed to him making some of his mistakes/bad decisions, and the challenges that presented to him in his day to day interactions with others. After reading book 1, I expected more from Alex than how he acts in this book, so that was disappointing. There are certainly some funny moments that had me laughing, and Violet in the story always lightened things up. I really appreciated the expansion of her step sibling relationship with Buck and her kindness to him. I enjoyed this book and I will continue my binge read of the series.
Buck meets Sunny because his step-sister, Violet starts dating Alex, Sunny’s brother. Buck is a giant commitmentphobe-playboy-puckbunny chaser of the utmost epic proportions. Sunny, is a college student working as a yoga instructor all while living with her parents in Canada while Buck is on Chicago’s hockey team.
In Pucked, I couldn’t stand him and to be honest I had reservations about starting this book. Took me months to pick it up after reading Pucked. I just couldn’t reconcile how Buck could be with the straight laced vegan Sunny. I couldn’t understand it. But I had just finished the first two in the All In series and wanted to keep laughing with Helena so I went back to this one and I am glad that I did. One: I loved that this book was all from Buck’s POV. I always prefer the dude’s view to the chick’s. I am a girl so I get that side, I want and appreciate the dude’s perspective better every time. Two: we had the typical Helena make you laugh your @$$ off book and I cannot get enough of that. I have yet to have an author make me laugh as much as she does. Three: Watching Buck grow and fall deeper and deeper with a girl that couldn’t make a decision for herself was heartbreaking but made me love him all the more. My heart hurt for him because he wanted to be so good and faithful to Sunny but he was so naive. He may have tons of experience in terms of sex but he was so beyond naive about everything – he thought that since he had the best of intentions that the rest of the world would recognize that and get on board. So wrong. I had tons of issues with Sunny and her inability to do what she wanted and think for herself (her friend is awful and I know that her book is next but she so rubbed me wrong) but Buck was so heartwarming and endearing to me. I heart him so dang much. I fully recommend this book!
I listened to this book and it was ok. I would go with 2.5 stars. The narration was good, but the story was so so. I thought the first book in the series has more funny moments. It took me 2 tries to get through this book. The first time, I thought I wasn’t in the right mood for the book. The second time, I realized it was the book itself.
I didn’t like Sunny. The mishaps occurred too often. Alex was way too judgemental considering what he went through with Violet. Buck and Sunny just didn’t work for me.
Sad to say, I was actually glad when Miller announced he was done. I don’t remember exactly how old Miller was, but I remembered that Sunny was only 20. Maybe that is why the book didn’t do much for me. They were too young, and she was too unsure and insecure.
I’m glad I was able to listen through the Audible Escapes program. I am going to try book 3 next. Maybe this one was a fluke.
