Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong?
NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently … recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.
But casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to get pucked over.

Great story about Lily and Randy. This is a mf contemporary story set in the ice hockey world. I listened to the audiobook. The going over the fence at Lance’s house was so funny. Love always finds a way. Off to listen to the next book.
A funny, steamy Hockey romance. Lily is coming out of a bad long term relationship and Randy “Balls” Ballistic is there to act as her rebound relationship. Problem is, at some point, it stopped being just fun and feelings got involved. I loved Lily and Randy, they were a very sweet couple and you really root for them. Definitely a nice addition to the series.
Possibly my favorite of the series. The storyline is similar to other books I have read, but I still really liked it. I was very happy that it went back to 2 perspectives. Randy is quite funny and reading from his perspective was very amusing. I really like Lily, she is also quite entertaining. I loved all the parts with all of the main characters together. That lead to some hilarious moments.
Loved this one and laughed my way though it! I am listening to this series on audio and loving it!!! This installment is about Randy “Balls” Ballistic and Lily LeBlanc and WOW do they have some chemistry. No matter how much they try to keep it light and just for fun they soon stray into where the heart leads. When things get too serious will they be able to handle it? Oh, and the cameos from all the characters! So much fun! Definitely recommend this series. Off to download the next in the series to listen to!!!!
You’ll go absolutely Ballistic over Randy!
And how could you not!! Pucked Over is the third book in the series and it just keeps getting better and better. I don’t know how that is possible, but it is. Helena creates characters that are absolutely magical – engaging, endearing, slightly flawed and absolutely hysterical. It is also the way she weaves the characters into the storyline. She not only centers on the main ones (in this case NHL player, Randy Ballistic and Lily LeBlanc) but the way that she brings in the secondary characters and gives them depth and makes then prominent and substantial to the story. The storyline between Randy and Lily is sexy, smoldering and just when you think things are going to go one way, you are blown away by the events that unfold and the emotions that surrounds them. Pucked (book 1 in the series) is my favourite, but Pucked Over is a really, really close second. Truly a fantastic read by a truly fantastic author. Keep them coming Helena!
OMG I love this series !! Randy is quite the bearded tattooed bad boy hockey player and when you pair him with a sassy figure skater you have one fantastic read !! Lilly needs to be versed on the art of casual sex and who better to do this than a friend of a friend . They run in the kind of the same circles, he isn’t a stranger and surely he isn’t looking for commitment !!! What could possibly go wrong here !!! Oh my so much ! I loved everything about this book, this couple and their story!!!

Lily & Randy meet by chance when the guys show up at the camping trip. Randy defends Lily from the ex-boyfriend. Lily fights the attraction, but Randy knows what he wants.
Helena keeps us entertained with the dynamics between all the characters. Violet & her antics are still present throughout the series. I love watching this relationship develop.
I absolutely loved Randy & Lily! They had such chemistry & oh my their explosive sexual encounters!
The story between this Hero and Heroine is fantastic. Their chemistry is like no other couple. The challenges faced are very relate-able. I’m glad to have met them and added them to the family.
I always expected Randy would be my favorite in the Pucked series. I loved his character in Pucked Up. I loved the craziness with Lily. And seeing them together in Pucked Over was everything I hoped it would be.
These two were crazy together. Randy was amazingly sweet and so, so sexy. And Lily’s ball-busting attitude was hilarious. I loved them together, I loved their playfulness and their chemistry and all their sexy-times.
As always, Violet was hilariously over-the-top. Miller was his sweet caring self and Lance was this enigma I’m looking forward to unburying.
Loved this book. Loved this couple. Can’t wait to read more.
Hockey romances are my absolute favorite. They’re my favorite of any sports romance and just up there as my favorites to read at all, with dark romance. The dark romance is new but I have been in love with hockey romances for years. So I of course heard about this series and everyone raves over it. I read book one and was shocked when I did not care for it. It is up there on the list of least favorite books…. But because of who I am as a person, I’d already bought most of this series in paperback. It took me a while but I finally read book 2. I was blown away by how much more I enjoyed it! I thought Miller was so endearing! I really really enjoyed it! I was glad that I had not decided to write this series off. But for some reason, Helena’s books seem to take me longer to physically read, which I find frustrating. I blame no one but me for that though. So, I’m not a huge audiobook fan. I have mostly used audio for Young Adult, Fantasy, and most importantly rereads. But I thought if ever there was a good romance book to try listening to on audio it would be the next book in this series. I could not stop listening to this if I tried once I started it. And I did try, because I was supposed to be buddy reading a different book. But I was on this ride no matter what, until the end.
So this book follows Randy ‘Balls’ Ballistic and Lily LeBlanc. I never questioned if I would like Randy but give Lily’s personality in previous books, I expected to hate her almost as much as I hate Violet. That is so not the case. There wasn’t a thing about this story that I found fault with. I mean, the few times Violet spoke she still annoyed me but I am not going to fault this book for that. I couldn’t believe the chemistry between Randy and Lily. It all felt very natural and things moved along at just the right pace. And the drama that goes on with some side characters has be absolutely itching to continue on with this series immediately. I am for sure the exception and not the rule when it comes to the first book… and I don’t think these books should be read as standalones or out of order. There is just too much that goes on in one book that carries over to the other books. But I definitely recommend this series. Even if you’re like me and do not care for book one, things improve so much with books 2 and 3. I am so happy that I did not give up on these!
Love this entire series !
This was another fun addition to the Pucked series! There was plenty of raunchy laughter, steamy action, puck bunny angst & sweet, he-marked-my-heart-forever moments.
Randy & Lily were great together. I loved how easily they made each other’s insides melt, how much fun they genuinely seemed to have when they were together & their penchant for bathroom sex. I found it incredibly endearing how they sort of talked the other out of their physical insecurities; turning frowny faces into happy faces *wink wink* & making single scoops feel like doubles. 🙂 They were just so damn adorable together! When Randy recorded the aftermath of a late night romp with Lily… #SweetestThingEVER!!!
I liked all of the girl talk moments in the book; although I could’ve done with a skosh less “marble rolling” comments & Violet ramblings. I practically died during her bl*wjob speech via face time. Poor, Randy…
Randy & Lily’s story comes complete with a perfect-for-them HEA! Love the last four words!!
Looking forward to the next book in the Pucked series… Well, I’m hoping there’ll be one because I’d LOVE to hear all about Lance “Romance” & Tash!
Oh my goodness! This was so entertaining and fun to read! I loved Randy and Lily and their infections and insatiable chemistry!
Randy is the first character I’ve ever used the term ‘book boyfriend’ for. He was deep, honest and he treated Lily well in and out of bed. Lily is a strong, witty heroine. The book is the perfect mix of humor, angst, erotica and was just plain perfect.
I can’t get enough of this series. I can’t get enough of Balls & Lily. I have to say that Violet is my fav, I love what comes out of her mouth. With Randy not wanting to be in a relationship and just wants a casual hookup but Lily feels more and can’t be with him anymore. They are both miserable without each other. Will Randy give in and try to have a relationship with Lily? Everyone must read this series.
So good! So fun!
Pucked Over is the third book in the Pucked series and it features Randy and Lily. We met Randy briefly in Pucked and he and Lily both appeared in Pucked Up, where their “relationship” began.
“I like that she’s my kind of crazy.”
I really adored this book, almost as much as, if not more than, Pucked! It is funny and sexy and silly and hot and sweet. Randy “Balls” Ballistic has become my new favorite hockey player, my new favorite bbf, and I have a major girl crush on Lily – she is such a great character, funny, sassy, feisty! (To be perfectly honest after reading Pucked Up I wasn’t sure what to expect with her.) The relationship between these 2 was just fantastic- it started with a kiss and after a few bumps along the road it grew into something so sweet that I just melted.
After their brief hook-up in Pucked Up Lily does her best to avoid Randy, but circumstances and friends conspire to keep throwing them together. Trying to deny the attraction between them doesn’t work so well and it ends up being easier, especially for Lily, to just give in, thus beginning their friends-with-benefits arrangement, which seems to suit them both. Until it doesn’t. You know how those pesky feelings have a way of creeping up on even the most unsuspecting and unwilling of people, and that’s what happens with these two.
Randy and Lily are such the perfect match, I love seeing relationships like theirs evolve. The chemistry and sexual attraction was there, no doubt about it, but to see them both grow and come to terms with their feelings for each other was probably the best part of this book. Neither was looking for anything permanent, they weren’t expecting this thing between them to be any more than a fling. And I think that is sometimes how the best relationships start.
Everything about this book was just plain terrific- Randy and Lily and their relationship; having the rest of the Pucked gang involved- I swear Violet is one of the best characters in contemporary fiction, she is so flipping funny and there is nothing forced about her humor; the family issues…this book had it all. I absolutely loved it.
Loved, I couldn’t wait to read the next one.
There are some spoilers.
I wanted to rate the performance a 3 to a four because of Rose. Mad it boring at first. By how she was talking to Lily and Randy. But after awhile I got use to it. Like I normally do with some narrators in the books I’m listening to, but I did like how she talked in different ways with each character. Plus the who talked as Randy. Jacob, he also did a good job. I like how he perform with Lance. He’s Scottish accent.
But anyways this book was actually good it wasn’t as hilarious as book 1 or funny as book 2, but it was too good to put down that’s for sure. I knew that Randy and Lily was going to end up together in the end because they both were catching feelings for each other, especially how he was acting. With her around Alex and Benji and Carl or whatever, that fool name was.
Plus the end I thought for sure she wasn’t going to end up pregnant lmao. When they didn’t use a condom I was dying when Tim-Tom knocked on the door. Mess reminded me of Twilight scene with Bella and Edward with the bed situation and some other book I read where the guy actually broke the bed. I forgot what the book was called.
But I’m glad Randy found someone. Can’t wait to read part 4, 4.1, and 4.5. I know it’s going to be epic.
P. S. I was also glad that Randy let her give his pecker a lick. And liked it and got with someone who didn’t judge how he pecker looked.
