I’ve never been in love.I’ve never had an orgasm, but I’ve faked plenty.I want to experience love. Real, passionate love.I don’t want to die. It’s funny what blurts out of your mouth when the plane you’re on is going down, and I didn’t hold back with my seat mate when my plane decided to crash. My hysterical confessions didn’t faze the muscular stranger that sat beside me. In fact, he promised if … me. In fact, he promised if we survived, he’d give me my first orgasm.
We survived.
I came.
And then he left without telling me who he was.
On the first day of my job, I stood in front of the Vancouver Wolves hockey team and called out a number. #33.
Imagine my shock when he skated forward.
Max is an incredible hockey player, whose wild, out-of-control antics have almost derailed his career. So many secrets shroud his past and continue to threaten his future.
Now he’s my secret. And that secret could ruin everything.

Another great read by Odette Stone. She once again brings an entertaining , fun and interesting hockey romance with strong well developed characters in Rory and Max. She gives them a hot chemistry and weaves a bit of danger and suspense as well as developing the romance. I enjoyed reading their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Wow! Excellent read! Well crafted mysteries, and romance. I loved the characters, the hockey, and yh ed twists and turns of the story.
I received a free ARC copy to voluntarily read for an honest review.
Book one in a new series called A Vancouver Wolves Hockey and I know I want to read the next book. Max and Rory meet on a flight but the airplane crashes and they survive only to find they should not be together. There is a lot going on in the life’s of these two as they try to keep their romance from being made public. There is danger, suspense, a couple of villains and romance. I want to read the next book. OMG what an incredible read! I love Odette’s books and this was fantastic. Interesting story premise with some different twists. Characters with lots of heat and steamy scenes. LOVED IT! I read an arc copy of this book.
Rory hates flying. Good thing the hot muscular guy in the seat next to her is there to calm her fears. Even better that he’s there when their plane crashes, and carries her off the wreckage. Even better that he promised to be the first to give her an orgasm, and makes good on that promise later that night at the hotel the airline has put them in after the crash. Bad though that he disappears the next morning. Even worse? He turns out to be the bad boy player on her father’s hockey team. The team her father has put her in charge of for a year…
Wow, Puck Me Secretly was a serious roller coaster. So much was thrown at Rory and Max that it’s a wonder they made it through. I felt like it was all a bit too much – too much drama, too much going on in the background (and the foreground), and it meant the relationship between Rory and Max suffered a little for all the drama thrown at them. I would have preferred if it were pared down a little. But I liked the two of them, that they were interesting, layered characters on their own, and a great combination when put together. I’m definitely looking forward to more from the Vancouver Wolves.
You know those books that are the perfect mix of everything you love in a book and phenomenal writing? Well, this is that book. It is an intense and wild ride. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Couldn’t put it down!! This book pulled at my heartstrings. Max appears to be the quintessential bad boy of hockey but underneath is a vulnerable sweetheart. Characters are believable. Action packed with excitement both off and on the ice.
WOW! This is one electrifying compelling read that grabs and holds your attention from page one until the end. It is action-packed, intense, edgy, shocking, has many twists and turns, full of suspense, enjoyable, and emotionally deep. Secrets are revealed, questions are answered, wrongs are made right, and mysteries are solved in this amazing well-written book. Wonderful, well-developed characters that possess and display amazing strength and courage; their chemistry is instant, potent, and off the charts. The author kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. I LOVED IT!

What a way to meet the first time. To yell out what is crossing your mind when panicking. Well he fulfills you wishes. And you don’t even know who he is. And to find out who he is in the way she does. And what a surprise he gets when he finds out who she is. I received a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
The plot was well written and well planned and the characters were written with great detail and depth! I really enjoyed this book from page one, the chemistry was so intense between Rory and Max that they kept me totally engaged until the very last page!
This book is a lovely sports themed romantic suspense read.
Rory, recent college grad, takes a plane home to start her “internship” with her father who owns the Vancouver Wolves, a NHL team, among other businesses. While waiting in the airport lounge she encounters Max, who unbeknownst to her is a new transfer payer to the team. As the story progresses they survive some dangerous situations, prove themselves capable of rising to the occasion, fight for what is right, deal with each other’s emotional baggage and come to grips with their burgeoning feelings for each other. Puck Me Secretly is a thrilling, fast paced sports romance that deals with some pretty heavy topics. Like other Odette Stone works her male lead is an alpha male who has a heart of gold that must deal with some pretty emotional issues and a female lead that learns to love herself for who she is all while finding an inner strength to go after what she wants. Reader Discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Not what I expected. This book is romantic, sexy, intense, and so full of drama it’s crazy.
Rory and Max’s very first encounter is intense and drama filled. It continues down that path for most of the book. This book has deceit, danger, secrets, subterfuge, jealousy, hate, and sheer craziness. I was exhausted by the end.
I didn’t like Rory’s mother. Even after I found out why she didn’t like Max, I still didn’t like her. All the people conspiring against Max got to be a bit much. I’m glad that Rory was willing to fight for him.
There are about 60 chapters in this book. It is not a quick read, but it does move along at a pretty fast pace. I think if I had a complaint, it would be how much of the book was spent on beating up on Max’s character and putting him through the wringer.
I have never been into sports romances but having read another author’s hockey series and loving it, I decided to give this new to me author a try. So glad I did. The story was riveting with all of the secrets and not knowing what would happen next. I also love witty banter and lots of it. If that is what you like also, then this book is for you. The gamut of emotions along with great storytelling makes this a winner (total pun intended). Rory and Max will steal your heart.
I received a complimentary copy from the Booksprout.
I will admit I thought this would be a quick flirty with some possible steam read, it turned into a lot more substance than the write up leads you to believe. Some very real and heavy secrets are dealt with in this story and I will caution that there is a sexual trigger alert.
The beginning of the book starts out light and it quickly builds from there. Rory is thrown into a situation after situation from her controlling father. He either doesn’t know, doesn’t care or believes that if she survives whatever he throws at her she would do great taking over the hockey team from him in the future.
Rory comes face to face with the man Max/#33 who gave her, her first orgasm: her secret. As she learns who he is she learns he also has a secret. Will both of their secrets cause their careers and lives to derail before anything really starts?
The two characters due to their “secrets” and the fact that Rory is actually Max’s boss are apart for a good portion of the story with stolen moments where Max shows he’s more than just a big jock. His concern and solicitous actions towards Rory is very sweet and touching. Rory is doing her best to be a strong and tough businesswoman while dealing with her desires for Max. Plus the unreasonable demands from her father who hamstrings her along the way. As well as dealing with nepotism and a head coach that believes no woman is capable of doing the job she has, which he feels she stole from him.
The secrets are all interwoven and each new revelation carries with it ramifications and new perspectives that make you have to really dig deep within to find a way to balance the good with the bad.
Was glad the author didn’t have Rory just de-evolve as the story went along due to all of the new stresses. She had her moments of uncertainty but was able to find her inner strength and keep moving. Max almost lost himself with the burdens and discoveries but he rallied and stood behind his woman.
Towards the end during the wrap up the author got a bit overtly dramatic and took things a bit over the top. Some of the characters and parts of the storyline were a bit predictable and brought the story down a bit with some of the clichés and gimmicks.
Despite those minor stumbles the story is well told and with our present media climate shines a light on the strength it takes to make that first step.

Rory and Max met in a bizarre event that could have been tragic. They meet again as her being his boss. This author has the ability to actually make her characters come alive during and after reading her stories. There are few people writing books that are able to do this. I have yet to encounter any of her books that I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. Good storyline is involved that flows well. Puck Me Secretly is absolutely another WOW. I received this book from the author and am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is what I imagine reality TV would look like if it were staged behind the scenes of a hockey franchise. There’s drama, scheming, angst, intrigue, lust, hilarity, even love. I find it kind of strange, I’m not a big sports fan but I adore sport fiction, and this book has everything I look for in my best reads. Max and Rory have this amazing chemistry that jumps off the page. No matter how hard they try to deny it, try to fight it, the connection keeps pulling them back together. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
These two have so much happening with their lives that they have to fight every minute of every day. He’s protecting his friend and taking the brunt of the problem which could cause him his career, but she’s determined to save him and her family’s team. This is a fantastic read that I’m definitely recommending to everyone.

If you like sports or hockey romances, you’ll love this book. Imagine meeting a gorgeous alpha male on a plane as it was making an emergency landing and later find out he’s a player for the hockey team your Dad owns. Regrets expressed and desires fulfilled. Secrets and some dark ‘triggers’. No shortage of drama or emotion. Well written with a twist and complex characters. A good read.
Fun, sweet and plenty of heat! I totally enjoyed this enemies-to-lovers romance. The cute and funny storyline quickly pulls you into the book and keeps you hooked until the end. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next book in this series.
