I’ve never been in love.I’ve never had an orgasm, but I’ve faked plenty.I want to experience love. Real, passionate love.I don’t want to die. It’s funny what blurts out of your mouth when the plane you’re on is going down, and I didn’t hold back with my seat mate when my plane decided to crash. My hysterical confessions didn’t faze the muscular stranger that sat beside me. In fact, he promised if … me. In fact, he promised if we survived, he’d give me my first orgasm.
We survived.
I came.
And then he left without telling me who he was.
On the first day of my job, I stood in front of the Vancouver Wolves hockey team and called out a number. #33.
Imagine my shock when he skated forward.
Max is an incredible hockey player, whose wild, out-of-control antics have almost derailed his career. So many secrets shroud his past and continue to threaten his future.
Now he’s my secret. And that secret could ruin everything.

Loved this book! All the characters were someone you’d like to know. Well written. Easy to follow, and kept my attention through the end.
Amazing spots romance. Stone does an amazing job of hooking you and keeping you reading in this world of hockey, angst, smut and two amazing characters you can’t help but fall in love with.
I finished this book in one day. I literally couldn’t put it down!
I really loved Max’s character. When I first read the synopsis I figured the book would be much like other novels involving professional athletes. I was pleasantly surprised when Max was different.
I also enjoyed reading Rory’s story. I feel as if she’s experiencing a situation with her parents that a lot of other people face, it made it relatable. It’s really really hard to stand up to an authority figure, it’s even more challenging when that person is your father.
Odette did a fantastic job of writing about a tense family dynamic and it made the story seem more realistic. I just purchased the next book in the series – I can’t wait to start it.
Riveting tale full of romance, suspense, and sins of the fathers, set against the vivid backdrop of pro hockey! Some of the language and graphic love scenes may not be to everyone’s taste, but in my opinion nothing can detract from this deliciously memorable story by Ms. Stone, which left me hungry for more.
I’ve actually never read any of this authors books, but I was really impressed. The story had suspense and you couldn’t put everything together, which makes it better in my opinion. I’d recommend this book. It was enjoyable.
I have to admit that I would never have read this book if I hadn’t read book two in the series first. The title did not draw me in, but I really liked the book once I picked it up from Kindle Unlimited. I’m glad I did though because the story was great and I liked the characters. Plus I recommend reading it before Home Game, not because you need to for continuity, but because it gives a bit of background on some of the characters.
Because I have a serious one click problem on the Amazon I buy a lot of books because they are Authors I’ve been following for years or the blurb on Facebook sounded to good to pass up. This is one of those that the Facebook blurb was to good to pass up. Definitely a new Dan of this author. I’m an avid reader of sports romance usually football, baseball or soccer. As of late it’s been hockey. Loved this story of Rory and Max. They had a strange meet up on quite possibly the worse day of there life’s. Max is that hero we all dream of. Rory is returning home for college taking an internship of the family business against her wishes. She figures she go on suffer for a year and be on her way. She thinks of Max often and then he turns up in the most unlikely places. Great cast if characters and hot chemistry.
I loved Puck me Secretly! It is a really sweet and sexy love story between Rory and Max, two characters with so much drama and life problems but they are always drawn to each other. There were twists and turns throughout the entire story keeping me anxiously turning the page and not wanting to put the book down.
A Review of Puck Me Secretly by Odette Stone
Max and Rory – 5 Stars
I LOVED the characters of Max and Rory. I knew there just had to be a good reason for Max to have attacked his teammate and I was proven right. You definitely want to grab this one and read it.

I will admit that I read a lot of books. Like a lot of books! I enjoy almost every book that I read but every now and then I find a book that I just can’t put down and fall completely in love with. This book is one of those books. I thought it would be some quick read with some humor and sexy scenes sprinkled in. I didn’t expect to get pulled so far into it that I had to keep reading until I finished the story. It definitely has humor and sexy scenes but it also has compassion, secrets, danger and most of all, love. I whole heartedly recommend this book to everyone!!

This was most certainly a worthy piece to read as I promptly and immensely submerged into the story of Rory and Max. The opening and closing chapters were a great touch to the insight of the sports world; as a reader, it truly endeared the characters and their world and brought forth great characterization of hockey although keeping it a bit neutral without the heaviness of it overall. In their first meeting, Rory and Max survive a plane crash and their bond is strengthened in knowing that while chaos ensued they each were not alone. This connection becomes even more intense as they meet up again, and their world becomes even more intriguing as their roles now become a professional front as they both work in the same industry. This is a favorite, highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this story. It has it all. Rory is flying home after graduating to work for her Dad but she isn’t looking forward to it. Plus she hates flying – it scares her. There is a hot guy sitting next to her and he doesn’t talk much but when he realizes that she is panicking he helps her through it. The plane is crashing and he talks her through it. They get through it and go to a hotel the airline gets for them. They each have a room and Rory is missing Max. So when she goes to knock on his door it opens and he was getting ready to go check on her. While they were getting ready to crash, Rory said many things that now she is embarrassed about. Max is willing to help her on some of her issues (you gotta read this book to find out). Max helps her out on one of the issues but in the morning, he left her a note wishing her well. She is hurt but ready to get home.
Her father owns a hockey team and he wants her to be his assistant. Rory knows she doesn’t have the backbone to take over but she figures she would her year and then go do something else. When talking with the hockey players, she calls out #33. Who comes up but Max. She has to ream him for his behavior which got him traded to her father’s team. This story was awesome!! Definitely recommend this book. I plan on getting more books from this author as I loved Max and Rory. Would have liked to have Max’s point of view but this story rocks!!

Odette Stone is heating it up with PUCK ME SECRETLY, the first book in the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series. Rory Ashford agreed to return home to Vancouver to work in the family business for the next year. On her flight home, she sits next to a handsome stranger. The plane experiences technical difficulties and plummets. On their way down, Rory confesses that she has never had an orgasm. The man promises that if they survived, he will give her one. They survived; he fulfilled his promise, and she never found out his name. She was shocked on her first day of work to discover that he was, Max Logan, recently traded from the Minnesota Marmot to the Vancouver Wolves. The team her family owns, and she will be working for. This contemporary sports romance is suited for adult audiences.
Odette Stone does an amazing job with this story. I like the way that Rory and Max meet. It was a truly unique situation. That sets an intriguing backdrop for the novel. The story is skillfully written and a page-turner. PUCK ME SECRETLY was like a giant puzzle of details that perfectly came together. There was so much going on from every aspect of the book. It had a little of everything: sports, romance, drama, corporate politics, mystery, the list goes on.
The characters are great. They are dimensional and grow throughout the novel. They face relevant obstacles throughout the book. Max is a wonderful guy. He has a tragic past that is significant to the story. Rory is smart and passionate. The two have amazing chemistry.
This is the first book that I have read by Odette Stone. I enjoyed her writing style and plan to continue following the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series. PUCK ME SECRETLY was a strong foundation for the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This was a fantastic read. I loved the story and the characters. My favourite part was when she was on the plane. Brilliant. 5*.
Hot on and off the ice…
Who knew that the Rory and Max would have their lives twisted and turned the way they are. Both going to a place they really don’t want to be but trying to make something good from it. Sometimes life hits hard in the net but how we come away from it makes the difference. I loved reading this book and couldn’t stop once I got started.

Ms Stone had me on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns in this novel. It is told in single POV (Rory’s) which is not typically my favorite trope, but I couldn’t put this book down. A great read!
An amazing story, with such depth of characters. It will suck you in, not let you go and have you feeling emotions while reading to the point you will be hating some of the characters and wanting to get to the end, but not wanting the story to end. Love it! A must read.
Puck Me Secretly, written by author, Odette Stone, was a real page turner. The storyline was so well written I remained engaged from cover to cover with the well developed characters of Max and Rory and even evil Katrina…Boo, Hiss. I liked the inner strength of both Max and Rory and found them to be a good match and played off each other well. And that kept the story moving along so well.
I’m recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. I am also volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book.
