I’ve never been in love.I’ve never had an orgasm, but I’ve faked plenty.I want to experience love. Real, passionate love.I don’t want to die. It’s funny what blurts out of your mouth when the plane you’re on is going down, and I didn’t hold back with my seat mate when my plane decided to crash. My hysterical confessions didn’t faze the muscular stranger that sat beside me. In fact, he promised if … me. In fact, he promised if we survived, he’d give me my first orgasm.
We survived.
I came.
And then he left without telling me who he was.
On the first day of my job, I stood in front of the Vancouver Wolves hockey team and called out a number. #33.
Imagine my shock when he skated forward.
Max is an incredible hockey player, whose wild, out-of-control antics have almost derailed his career. So many secrets shroud his past and continue to threaten his future.
Now he’s my secret. And that secret could ruin everything.

Fantastically developed characters and great plot! Excellent read!
I simply enjoyed every.single.page.in.this.book. The story is just amazing. There is mystery, there are lies and there is hidden past that unravels and creates a lot of drama and unexpected events. Drama galore and whole bunch of other emotions. The story line is perfectly though trough and the writing is sooooo amazing that I couldn’t put the book down. The mistake I made was to start reading it around 11pm and then I didn’t even noticed it was already 4 am in the morning. First thing in the late morning when I woke up I just continue reading.
I fell in love with the main characters. I was cheering Rory all the time and off course Max…, oh my, oh my, he is one of my new book boyfriends.
I can’t recommend this book enough. I don’t have enough words to say how great this read was. You just need to check for yourself and read it. Give it a try, I’m sure you won’t regret this. I wouldn’t however say it is enemies to lovers story. For me it is more suspense romance in the sports environment with fantastically developed characters and great plot.
Rory desperately is not ready to go home to Vancouver after being in New York. She was dreading going home and having to work with her dad for a year. That was their agreement for her going away to college.
Rory was sitting at the bar waiting on her flight home. When she noticed a strong “not a baby man” like she usually dates, but she couldn’t take her eyes off of him. Rory waits until the last minute to board the plane. When she finds her spot she’s next to the guy from the bar.
The plane ride was a terrible one, and Max helps Rory through the awful plane u crash. She’s drawn to him even more.
When she arrives home and starts her job with her dad. He has her as assistant, and comes to find out that Max just arrived to play for the team, and she’s in charge of him.
There’s so much more to this story. So many secrets, twists. How can Rory do her job, and not fall for Max?
This is the first time I’ve read a book from this author. Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop, and I will definitely follow.

Beautiful romance with professional hockey background
Excellent story. I loved the characters who must do absolutely nothing despite their attraction because they want to protect the other. They appreciate each other so much that no of them wants to try anything or the other would loose everything. I also really enjoyed discovering the basics of professional hockey, betrayal, manipulation, and money. Once started, I could not put the book down before the end.
Rory meets Max before boarding a plane to return to Vancouver. They are then seated next to each other when the flight ends up crashing. During the whole descent, Max takes care of Rory, then he saves her. He is all that she is fleeing and yet she can not help but be attracted. The next day he disappears. She must work for at least a year with her father who is the owner of a professional hockey team. She then discovers that Max is one of the new players with an execrable reputation and who does not want to reveal why he has come to almost kill one of his former teammates in his former team, whereas she, on the contrary, has discovered in the plane, a Max full of compassion and empathy. For him, this is his last chance to stay in the professional team and for her, it’s a chance to build a name and not to go for the daddy’s daughter who has no skills.
To protect each other Max and Rory try to run away from the other, but this is very difficult for them, and yet, around them everything accumulates to drive them away: the doubts of Rory, her parents, Max’s secrets about his past and his friends, the fans, the staff, the other players and the coach.
I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page.

I got sucked right into this story. Nice steamy contemporary romance, which also happens to be set in Vancouver where I live 🙂 Love the airplane scene. Intended to just read a bit before bedtime and ended up finishing the whole thing instead of going to sleep. Consider yourself warned 😛
The opener of this grabbed me! The scenario is original and kept the pages turner. I enjoyed the conflict between the characters and the ease of the writing. You fall right into the story and you want more when it’s finished! On to the next book in the series!
A steamy and fun read. Odette knows how to write the alpha male. No need to be a hockey fan, this is a must read for anyone who enjoys a hot romance. The Vancouver Wolves world is thoroughly entertaining. I found myself rooting for Rory, #33, and the team until the end!
Made me happy to have read it!
Rory & Max have quite the fateful first encounter, surviving a plane crash together. Without really knowing who each other is in respect to their everyday worlds, they quickly form an easy friendship that turns steamy. After falling asleep in Max’s bed, Rory wakes up to find Max gone & she’s beyond pissed. She has no idea who he really is or how to reach him. Imagine her surprise when she shows up for her first day as assistant GM for the Vancouver Wolves and the newest addition to the team is none other than Max. Throw in that Max is assigned to Rory in order to clean up his bad boy reputation of fights & f*cks and they’re in for a hell of a fight with each other. But that’s thing about hockey – the badder the fight, the better the victory. With unknown enemies out to see Rory fail & a new hometown that won’t accept their wrongly disgraced star player, will Max & Rory ever have a shot at true love? When the past catches up to the present & the truth is revealed, will it be enough to save Rory? These flames burn hot enough to melt ice and maybe even Max Logan’s heart.
I really enjoyed this story by Odette Stone,,,,

Can Rory and Max find their happily ever after or is there to much going on that can tear them apart? I really enjoyed and loved the story and characters.
Started this book by a new to me author on 30th Dec and finished it on new years eve. What a brilliant way to end the year.
Max is HOT and Damn but I wish I was Rory. The characters had depth, the storyline fast paced and detailed enough that my imagination went into overdrive.
I was so impressed by this by this book that I have already downloaded her other books. The only thing I would change about this book is that the word Trou was changed to maybe slacks or left as Trousers as I hate words that are shortened.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Rory Ashford and Max. Rory is coming home to work in the family business after graduating from college. A part of her is looking forward to the challenge another part is dreading the fact that she needs to be the son her father never had. Max is literally skating on think ice. If he can’t make it with this club he is out of the league. However when the plane they are both on goes down surviving brings them to a whole new understanding of one another. Can they have a HEA or will the fact of who they are in real life make that impossible?
This is a great story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will way this book will take you on a roller-coaster you won’t want to get off of. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
A story that right from the start captivates the reader. Drama, danger, secrets, attraction, secret dates, accusations of several things, emotions, twists and turns makes this story a great read. No spoilers here but at times too much happened so the story did not feel real.
Rory is though kind of annoying at times. Yes, you have to do your job but what about your life? When fate throws a hunk at you why not take him?
A story that has unexpected twists and turns which makes it not that predictable as others are. I like the chemistry they have.
Enjoyable, engaging and recommendable read.
A romantic story in which the H is judged by everyone without anyone knowing the full story. Max and Rory meet in unusual circumstances. When they realise who the other is, fireworks and all bets are off. I loved this story and Max is my favourite book boyfriend so far!!
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this hockey based love story. I have not found sports romance to be one of my favorites but this one stands out as one of the better ones. This is a full length story that will shock you with how easily and quickly you are able to read it. I became so engrossed in Max and Rory’s story that the time just slipped by. I laughed out loud, cried a little, cursed a lot and even found myself holding my breath a couple of times when getting ready to turn the page. I was fully invested, fully engaged and found the writing to be stellar as usual. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt like there was a little to much drama, but that is me. It really is a great story and worthy of your time, money and effort.

This was the first full length read I have read by Odette Stone and I was wonderfully surprised. My favorite genre is sports romance especially when it’s centered around those pucking hot hockey bad boys but I am not being biased with my rating because I read four hockey sports romance books by different authors over the last 3-4 weeks and every single one, including Puck Me Secretly, was tremendous and worthy of 5-Star ratings. This was a long, full length read, 400+ pages, but was so well written & engaging, the story reads quickly, I was shocked when I made it though the whole book in one day. Max & Rosy’s story takes the reader on a wild & emotional rollercoaster & I only hope Odette Stone has more books planned for this Vancouver Wolves Hockey Romance series, after all Puck Me Secretly is book 1. If this book is any indication of what’s in story, this series will include plenty of hot & sexy bad boys of hockey, lots of sizzling chemistry, twists-n-turns galore & an abundance of Kindle melting heat. Definitely Recommend One-Clicking Puck Me Secretly!

I was granted an ARC of Odette Stone’s “Puck Me Secretly: An Enemies-To-Lovers Sports Romance (A Vancouver Wolves Hockey Romance Book 1)” via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
This is a terrific hockey romance book. This is my first book by this author. And I love her writing style. I can’t wait to devour the rest of her books.
This hockey romance hit every emotion for me. It was witty, and sexy and emotional. There was other character drama that heightened the storyline. I really enjoyed how Max and Rory’s relationship wasn’t drawn out. We got to see how the slow burn started and how they worked through the hard stuff. Such an enjoyable read!
