Country’s sweetheartNHL’s bad boyOh, puckStella Hart is the hottest thing in country music. Pure and sweet, men want to own her, women want to be her—everyone wants a piece of her, and Stella? Well, she wants out.NHL’s biggest player Van Ross isn’t afraid of the spotlight, but when Nashville’s darling seeks refuge at his home, he’s less than thrilled with the media shi*tstorm she brings. While Van … shi*tstorm she brings.
While Van would like nothing more than to show the purest of them all how well he handles his er… stick, Stella is no puck bunny. Nor is she as innocent as she’d have the world believe.
On and off the ice, the end game is the same: line up the puck, take the shot, and score. If only their hearts understood the play.
Puck fame and fortune.
Puck right and wrong.
Puck love.

Oh wow ! What a sexy and sweet book !!! Puck Love is really good to read.
I still don’t know why I didn’t read this book earlier…. I knew Carmen for ages and her books are always on my #MustReadList. Of course Carmen didn’t dissapionted me this time, I loved Van and Stella’s story very much. Carmen always knows how to write steamy, but I like that she always knows how slip in hot scenes also heavy themes.
Obviously Puck Love isn’t only simple romance. We have here not-too-lucky young country star – Stella, and hot-as-sin hockey player Van. This connection is perfect match in great romance, but Carmen give them also a lot of hard stuff in the background. Stella doesn’t want to be only perfect shinny star… she want to be just… young woman with her own life. Moments, which shows how much lonley she is was really devastating for me… Van was ideal cure for her broken heart. He was cheeky and cocksure but I only could love him as much as I loved Stella. They both are pretty awesome together.
I can highly recomend this book for readers who like good love stories, with hot steamy moments, amazing plot and heart melting HEA.
4.5
I do love a great sports romance and one where there is action of the sport being played. That it is ice hockey – bonus, love that game too!
I am late to the party reading this book, and I have seen a few reviews that I think would put me off if I saw them before purchasing. So I feel I need to make a few things clear – there is no cheating. The scene this refers to is when the couple are broken up, a girl forces herself on the MC, he stops her advances and kicks her out of his house with the rest of the party goers. That to me is not cheating.
Now that is off my chest, let me tell you the really good stuff.
Van oh boy he was wonderful. I loved his cocky attitude, his sarcasm and dirty mouth. His loyalty and love for his brother was so endearing. I don’t think it waned any but I wanted more of it throughout the whole book. And who doesn’t love a sweet innocent country singer. Stella, the poor lass, was a super star but felt all alone and it was all work with no play. This is not good for anybody and it finely snapped with her. She needed a break and it came in the form of a hockey hottie. Their time together at Lodge Ross was at times adorable and others funny, their banter is a hoot. They way Stella took to Emmet, just goes to show you how lovely she was.
Even though we are taking about a famous county singer meets NHL super star, the storyline had a very authentic feel to it. It wasn’t insta love nor was it a slow burn, it was more Goldilocks and just right. There was some toing and froing going on with their relationship status and it made for some angst and heartbreak. All in all, I recommend this one to a sports or second chance romance lover or anyone wanting a good HEA.
Van was meant to be a real player, he came across as flirty and really sweet though. His relationship with his brother Emmet was so beautiful. Selena, the orphaned country singer who was lonely and feeling the stress of her life makes a run for it. Her running leads her to meet Van and Emmett. I loved the witty banter between the three of them! Overall a lovely story with ups and downs like a rollercoaster.
I absolutely loved Van and Stella’s story and it was just what I needed, I had just read another book that was heavy and Puck Love came at just the right time.
I loved this book for many reason but I loved the storyline of a playboy Hockey Player and country singer sweetheart. I like to go Blind in most books but as soon as I read the synopsis I knew I it was my kind of book.
We went through the highs and lows of both careers of singing and playing hockey and two characters who for me found each other and for me were made to be together but at the wrong time and watching them unravel was a great story.
I have to say I loved Em his character was so funny and perfect and I really think he showed there was another side to Van and it really pulled at the heart strings. Van was your typical male and I loved the run down of his thoughts we got, they were excatly how I would imagine a male would think.
I really felt for Stella and I was rooting for her throughout the whole book to realise who she was and not who she thought she had to be. Being in the spotlight would be hard and the fact she started at such a young age it was all too much. I loved her story and seeing her come out on the other side.
If you love a sports romance with a heroine also in the spotlight, you like a good laugh and just enjoy a good rom com then this puppy is for you. I loved everything about it.
A big big 5 stars for me for this one.
*3,5 – 4 stars*
The first sports romance story that the author has written and it was a very decent one. I honestly have to say it took me a while to get into it but I liked Van and Stella’s chemistry. I enjoyed the banter between them and that kept the story going for me. The sweetheart of country with the ladies man of hockey, it worked…
Stella has had enough of her lifestyle and doesn’t know how to stop living the secret she has been living for years now. When one night turns her away from the fame and into the mountain of a well known hockey player, she may find a way back to who she was before all the fame… Van never thought he would run into one of the biggest country music stars and to try to hide her away from the world she’s known. But secrets from Stella’s past come creeping closer every time and in the end she’ll have to choose what she really wants out of life…
Carmen Jenner + Hot Hockey Boy + Sassy Country Girl = PERFECTION
Puck Love is the story of NHL Bad Boy Van Ross, and Country Music’s darling, Stella Hart. Written in a dual POV in Carmen’s hilarious style and full of banter, foreplay and sexual tension!
Stella Hart is troubled, she has everything a girl could want in life except for someone to share it with. Lonely, empty and desperate. Stella runs away from her life and straight into the arms of Van Ross.
I’m a sucker for an athlete and a sucker for a good Sports Romance. And the one thing that an amazing Sports Romance needs is a hot, funny, sarcastic alpha athlete and Van Ross had all of those qualities in spades.
Even though Puck Love didn’t have the intense angst that Carmen Jenner is so well known for, it still pulled at every heart string. The writing was phenomenal. The storyline addictive. And the characters where some of my favourites. While Stella broke my heart with her troubled and lonely upbringing, Van had me giggling at his antics and filthy words!
I adored the story of Stella and Van. I loved the character development more then anything, the growth within themselves and together was beautiful to read. I loved that the story centred around them and there development rather than Van’s Hockey or Stella’s music. More often then not when you read a sports romance the majority of the story is taken over by the sport but Carmen wrote Puck Love in such a way that you got the exact right amount of each troupe. The Sports, the music and the romance. A perfect recipe for a perfect story!
Puck Love was witty, filthy in all the best ways, romantic and so very poetic. It had all my favourite things about romance wrapped up in one unforgettable story. Puck Love will stay in my heart for a long time to come and is most definitely an #HEA’sFavourite!

I’ve been looking forward to reading this one for a while, so I’m happy to say that I finally got a chance to.
Van and Stella’s story is fun and entertaining and shows what life can be like for the rich and the famous – at least it shows one part of it anyways.
I love how Van was so fun and sassy right from the start and I really loved Emmett as well. I wish we got more of him in the second half of the book.
There’s not a huge amount of angst in this book which is great. The characters have their trials and tribulations but for the most part it’s fun, sassy and sexy. I love the banter between many of the characters and I really enjoyed reading this one.
I really hope we get a story for Lana and Eli too. Pretty please Carmen?!
This one made me fall in love with Canadians and Canada, and now I want to mark it off my bucket list even more. Definitely recommend.
