I hate my new roommate…And I want to do dirty, delicious things to her in that swing she installed that we both know has nothing to do with aerial yoga.Neither of which is good, considering Diana Daniels is my NHL team captain’s little sister, and he will break my face if I’m not a perfect gentleman.I try to be. Really, I do. But Diana has all sorts of Jedi mind tricks to make a man obsessed … mind tricks to make a man obsessed with getting her into bed, and I’m not gonna lie–I fall for every single one of them.
Especially the one where she warns me not to fall for her.
***
Everyone knows that banging your new roomie is a bad idea. And if it wasn’t for his sister’s pet pig, Wanda, chasing me out of the bathroom mid-shower, Tanner Nowicki and I might still be able to pretend we hate each other.
But that pig totally has it out for me, and before I can warn Tanner that I don’t do relationships–or hockey players or my brother’s friends–he’s doing me. Against the wall. And in his bed. And in my bed. And on a pinball machine where we get an all time high score.
And it’s so incredible that I start to forget that I’m the unluckiest woman alive when it comes to relationships. And pigs. And aerial yoga. And worst of all, love.
But hey, it’s not like I didn’t warn him…

Loved this book. This series is great. Enjoyable, fun story. Sweet, Sexy Hockey player what more is there to say.
Just alright. Didn’t like her for most the book. He’s sweet. They have sexual chemistry but that’s about it for their relationship. And the best part is the happy ending.
I enjoyed this book despite the fact that I didn’t really like Diana. But I started to understand her towards the end. Tanner was a little too perfect though. The pig added some humour. I will probably read the next one.
Puck Aholic is the third book in the Bad Motherpucker series by the very talented Lili Valente. Each book in the series can be read as standalone but there is a connection. A hockey team. Friends. Siblings. Puck Aholic is Tanner (rookie player) and Diana’s (Brendan’s sister/player) story…
Tanner just finished his rookie season. He had a great year but he needs to keep his focus if he wants to stay on the team. And that means no Summer flings. No commitments. It’s been months since he has had anyone in his bed so he can do this. No problem. He isn’t a one-night stand kinda guy anyway. He is a relationship guy. Then she shows up. A Beach Pixie that turns his life upside down with a kiss. She saved his life on the beach that night and now she is his new roomie. She also happens to be his team Captain’s sister. This has complicated all over it. He should have told her no but he couldn’t. He thought he could do this. Stay away from her. She is off-limits. She drives him insane. She doesn’t want more than a fuck. It should be easy to keep his distance, right?
Wrong. So very wrong. She knew it. Diana knew it when she saw him again. He seemed nice enough on the beach. Hot enough for sure. But that was all it could ever be. She swore off relationships when one after the other turned disastrous. Her luck in love was a bust. She thought she found the one but he was gone. And she was starting over. And now she was living with the man that heated her up while pissing her off. A pig that was jealous of her. And no job. She can do this. She can totally stay away from her hot roommate. Especially when she finds out he is not a friends with benefits type of guy. Who doesn’t do that anyway? A good guy that she can’t risk having.
Tanner and Diana’s story is a roommates to lovers romance but it is different than others I have read. It’s refreshing that Tanner is not a manwhore but a relationship guy. I do love a good manwhore, don’t get me wrong. Ha. Anyway, the story is hilarious, sexy, and so much fun!! Tanner is swoon-worthy, dedicated, sweet, and one amazing dirty talker. Diana is all-round kick ass. She is independent, fun, and sexy. Together, they are crazy beautiful.
Overall…if you want a fun and sexy read then this book is for you! I love this series and it was great catching up with the previous characters and to get to know the ones that will be in the next book!
Quotes:
“Consider me cake, and you’re on a diet.”
“Cake,” I echo, scowling into her golden-brown eyes.
“And I’ll consider you the same.”
He’s a work of art, a thing of beauty I would feel compelled to photograph immediately if I weren’t so desperate to touch him, taste him, and feel his skin hot and hungry against mine.
“I think we’re going to get a high score,” I gasp against Tanner’s lips.
Enjoyed! I laughed so many times at the characters actions as well as Wanda’s antics.
The chemistry between Tanner and Dee is great, and I enjoy that the story walks through their experiences with romance and with his ADHD and how he copes.
Dee was almost too much to handle- in a good way- between conversations between her and Amanda, her inner thoughts, and her actions, she is a hoot.
As soon as Amanda talks about the mailbox as shes leaving- all I can think is, oh this is going to be good, so I definitely will be reading the next book.
Would recommend if you enjoy romance and hockey 🙂
How do you make a story of a hockey player and down on her luck young woman even more raucous and entertaining? Throw in a problem pet pig and lots of family connections, of course!
Not too much angst given how much Diane dwells on her past. The time spent on sex seems to leave less time to focus on the rest of the relationship and I felt it was to the detriment of the story. Finished well.
Quick read. No cliffhanger, which I really liked. I thought the story was decent and had steamy scenes. Overall pretty good read.
Fun couple, good story. Feisty, insecure heroine meets sexy hockey player who falls in love and wants to commit to her.
I didn’t like all the swearing!
A real quick read. Mind candy supreme. You can pick it up and put it down without losing your place
great book
I love happily ever after stories
I love her books . one of my favorite authors.
Haven’t read a Lili valente book I haven’t lived and this one is no different! Wanda the pig was the perfect addition for some laughs!
A fun read during the stressful times. A great escape. 🙂
Fun but pretty formulaic.
I lived this book so much I bought the whole series and lived them all
Great story line. Very well developed.
Didn’t keep my interest
