The Ward Security Series is a spin-off of the Unbreakable Bonds Series.Geoffrey Ralse is known for being the life of the party. He loves the club scene, hanging with his friends, and flirting with whomever catches his eye. He certainly isn’t going to stop living his life just because some would-be stalker starts sending him threats. But it all changes when Geoffrey is drugged and wakes up half … and wakes up half naked in his own home with a new message from his stalker.
He needs help and there’s only one person he trusts…
Protective Agent Sven Larsen has been fighting Geoffrey’s flirtatious advances for months, even though he’s impossibly drawn to the man. There’s no way he can be around him twenty-four/seven and not finally crack. But one look at Geoffrey’s haunted eyes, and he knows there’s no way he’s letting Geoffrey walk out of Ward Security without him.
Even if it means breaking his own rules, he will keep Geoffrey safe.
Trigger warning: There is a very short section with sexual assault that some could find upsetting.

I couldn’t put this book down. I love the characters and the way the story pulled me right in. There was a great balance of romance and suspense.
Geoffrey Ralse is a handsome guy that made a fortune with a mating app when he was only 19 years old. Fast forward about eight years and he is something of a party guy with an extensive social media following. Then he becomes the focus of a stalker and the incidents are accelerating. He contacts Ward Security to request their assistance and bodyguard protection in the form of a ‘Norse god’ named Sven Larsen. Sven had been dodging Geoff’s advances for months but things heat up between them during the challenges of providing protection and support. With this book, the writers got the action going right away then they slowed things down so that the relationship between the two main characters could be thoroughly developed. Once that happened the action got going again and remained through to completion! I found it an immensely satisfying tactic for this exciting book! Well done, writers, well done!
I loved everything about this book. I loved Geoffrey when he was introduced. I love me a bodyguard/client romance. Geoffrey is a wonderful complex character that i fell more in love with each page. The action is, unsurprisingly, excellent. I read it in one go.
I had been eyeing this one for a long time. Finally, I broke down and read it. I’m so happy I did. It looked good, but this author was new to me. She’s also fabulous! I loved this book… before I read the next in the series, I’m going back to her previous series since it’s about characters mentioned in this book. They way she brings them in makes me want to know more about them. The writing is fantastic and suspenseful. The characters are unpredictable and break out of the stereo types the author purposefully set. Very well done. Bravo!!
If you were a big fan of the Unbreakable Bonds series and wanted more well here ya go! A new series with some of the Characters fro Bonds that we wanted to see more of. This is Geoffrey and Sven’s story. You can read these books without reading The Unbreakable Bonds but I think you would like it better and understand more if you do read those books first.
Geoffrey is a wealthy playboy. He has been getting self-defense classes at Ward Security and flirts shamelessly with Sven the big bodyguard. But when he finds himself drugged, on his bed undressed with a note he is shaken to the core and only trusts Sven to help him. Sven has been trying to ignore Geoffrey but staying day in twenty-four-seven will break him. The threats get more invasive and personal as Sven and Geoffrey get closer the stalker does too. Who could it be and why?
I loved the Unbreakable Bod series and was so thrilled to find the Ward security series as well. I was hoping to see Sven and Geoffrey get a story but never thought it might be together. this story is so good and there is so much nail-biting suspense. I would never have guessed this stalker.
Kenneth Obi gives each character a unique voice and his chilling laughs and sexy sighs and grunts make the story. This one the book or audio is both a good choice but I would go audio just for the lively narration. Plus it gives you a great escape while you do menial chores.
“Blond, twink, smart-assed, and loved to bottom. He was practically the epitome of cliché.”
Geoffrey Ralse, 28, a fervent social media whore posts just about anything in his life and has gathered millions of followers who are all keeping tabs on his movements. A lot of them show up at the places he posts when he plans to make an appearance. Geoffrey became a member of the “young millionaires’ club when he sold Matinee, the best hookup app on the market.”
At the age of twenty Geoffrey became the guardian of Finn, his six-years younger brother, after the deaths of their parents.
When Geoffrey starts getting messages from some unknown person, he doesn’t take them too seriously. Not until he wakes up one morning, naked.
“Someone had helped him into a car.
Someone had helped him into his house.
Someone had helped him strip off his clothes and put him into bed.…”
Releasing something is very wrong Geoffrey picks up his phone where a new message is waiting for him…from his stalker.
“Good morning, beautiful!
Hope you slept well.
So cute when you’re sleeping…”
The message was followed by a picture of him sleeping in his own bed, he knows that The stalker had been in his house. “The stalker had been the person to bring him home, to strip him down and put him into his bed. The stalker…touched him.” Figuring that he had been drugged for this to happen without him knowing shakes him to the core.
He’d called the police and they’d come out, but he could tell they hadn’t taken him seriously one of them “murmured something about reaping what he sowed”, so he heads over to Ward Security to “I came to hire Sven as a bodyguard.”
Sven Larsen, 34, knows Geoffrey likes him a bit too much, he’s made no secret of his interest in the big blonde Viking, but with just one look at the usually “The man flirted outrageously, let inappropriate comments fly constantly from his pretty mouth, and then, there were the hands, Geoffrey never wasted an opportunity to grope., and Sven From Geoffrey’s scared expression and the thunderous one on Rowe’s face when he shut his office door behind him, Geoffrey was now a client.”
“It was going to be hell on Earth staying with Geoffrey twenty-four-seven” but Sven needs to stay focused on keeping Geoffrey safe and needs to tamp down his attraction; Geoffrey Ralse was now a client.
The stalker does not relent and when he acts out becoming a more serious threat the Ward security team heads out and do what they do best.
The story is told in dual POV’s alternating between Geoffrey and Sven.
I liked the plot, it was engaging and quite suspenseful. I am not
and very present-day with all of social media presence. I loved Quinn (squirt, something brewing there?) and Gidget, some badarse hackers!
2017 was my year to step outside my comfort zone, try new things, read new genres, so an author friend suggested I try Drake and Elliott’s Unbreakable Bonds series, so I did. Excellent decision.
In Psycho Romeo, which is the first book in the spin-off series, we dive into the pool of alpha bodyguards that make up Ward Security…let the action and adventure begin. When I first met Geoffrey in the original series, I’ll be honest, I didn’t like him much, he came across as a whiny, entitled brat with no backbone. I guess first impressions can be altered, because Geoffrey is heart and soul personified.
Millionaire business owner and surrogate parent, Geoffrey knows responsibility. With his brother away at college, he knows how to have fun too, but…he has a stalker, a very sick, very dangerous stalker, and when the situation escalates into something more than a nuisance, he turns to the only person he believes can help….Rowe, owner of Ward Security. Enter bodyguard Sven Larsen and this story is delicious adventure through the final chapter.
I know I don’t plan to miss a single episode of this series, my favorites from Unbreakable Bonds show up occasionally and the Ward Security bodyguards are just icing on the cake…I’m in!
