A sweeping, second chance standalone romance!I was pretty good at living without regrets until a way too close call during a skydive. Instead of my life flashing before my eyes, I saw one face, one regret that’s been gnawing at me ever since—Presley. The woman I loved madly ten years ago. The woman I had to walk away from.At first, all I want is to sort out why I can’t get her out of my head. But … But as soon as I see Presley again, I know I have to win her back at any cost. Brilliant, captivating and utterly beautiful, she’s the one I want.Fate steps in when we’re asked to pair up to find a treasure in art and antiques. It’s an opportunity I can’t pass up—to uncover a path back to the woman I let get away while we chase down a love story a hundred years in the making. Trouble is, Presley is tougher now, more wary, and she’s been hurt. By me. So it’s going to take a whole lot more than one hot kiss and a wild adventure together to convince her to give me a second chance.

What a great book to be hankered down with during this world quarantine time!
This is a standalone, second chance contemporary romance with some classic LB wit.
Hunter and Presley spent some time together and become very close, until Hunter gets a job offer he can’t refuse. It means that his time with Presley comes to an end, and even though it’s not an easy choice, his career needs this helping hand.
Ten years later, Hunter is back and discovers deep down, after a flash back, that Presley is definitely the girl he shouldn’t have left behind. So now he is on a mission to rectify his error.
Presley and Hunter are an adorable couple and I loved going on their journey discovering some treasures and working out what is most important to them now. Hunter has matured in those ten years away, and it takes Presley some time to fully trust him again. Great new release you don’t want to miss.
I listened to the audiobook of this when it was released on Audible. I truly loved this couple & the scavenger hunt they had. I loved the adventure of both couples & learning Ning the unique history or the home owners. The narrators were amazing! Great book!
The second part had a lot more of the angst and a lot of fun adventures. Chasing the clues to find all the letters of the love story begins and is so much fun! All the side characters and the historical bits related to circus time was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, Scott Eastwood’s reading still dragged it out for me and I suffered through his portions, doing my best to listen and not correct all his weird pauses and such in my brain, like my brain wanted to do.
4.5 stars
I have to say that hearing Scott Eastwood narrate this book along with Andi Arndt is mind blowing! Their voices just make you want to just sit there and listen to them all day long! How on earth the author made this happen, kudos to her, that’s for sure! They both narrate with such feeling that you cant help but feel like the characters are in the room! Scott’s voice as Hunter is dreamy! Omg so swoonworthy and just made the story incredibly entertaining to listen to! I really loved the way they both brought the characters Hunter and Presley to life! Its a short audio as part 1 of a 3 part series but packs a punch and Im looking forward to hearing more! Definitely an interesting second chance romance!
Audio Review: P.S. It’s Always Been You: Part 1 by: Lauren Blakely (Author), Andi Arndt (Narrator), Scott Eastwood (Narrator)
Blakely marks the beginning of heartstopping adventure with a page turner of a romance. P.S. It’s Always Been You takes a bite out of hearts with the swoon-worthy voices of Scott Eastwood and Andi Arndt who work surprisingly well together. Between their masterful delivery and Blakely’s unpredictable characters, Presley and Hunter, P.S. It’s Always Been You proves to be a risk worth taking.
(Not to be repetitive, but…) So here’s the thing: I hardcore love me some Lauren Blakely. In fact, I’ve been bingeing her books all month in order to catch up on her latest releases and my reviews. She is also one of those oh so special authors that gets how AWESOME audiobooks can be and I truly appreciate the attention she pays when it comes to the production of her books into audio. So when I saw that there was a new addition to her cadre of sexy as sin sounding male narrators and he’s actually brushed shoulders with Dwayne Johnson (because I am convinced that it is impossible to breath the same air as that man and not acquire some of his sexy via osmosis) I was so on board. Unfortunately, I think he might have been the low point in this book (for me). His cadence and inflection just didn’t… flow. I found that it detracted and distracted from the story and that’s a real (and unexpected) shame. So I think I may need to rate the book again after I read it with my eyes because consuming it with my ears was not fun and I feel like it really should’ve been. Now this is a 3 part story and it did end in a cute little cliffy, so I will continue with the other 2 parts. But this is one of the rare cases where I think the audiobook actually does a disservice to the story instead of enhancing it. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
This was a quick listen which instantly hooked me. I really enjoy well done second chance love stories and appreciated that this audiobook opened with the characters together so we got a chance to see their connection in action. I also loved the background on this story- an art history buff/writer teaming up with an adventure junkie as they look into an estate of a famed world traveler.
The writing perfectly captured the connection between Hunter and Presley, which was only enhanced by great performances by the narrators. I really enjoy the dual narration and am always eager to listen to Miss Arndt. Of course, Mr. Eastwood has a great voice which seemed well suited for Hunter’s role, making this a great listen along coupled with a cute, interesting story. And the ending was a perfect tease to entice me into wanting to continue the series. This audiobook is one of three parts, so listeners need to be aware going in that they won’t get their resolution or HEA until that final novella, but judging by the first part, this will be worth the wait.
5 star review of P.S. It’s Always Been You by Lauren Blakely
This is a second chance at love story for Hunter and Presley and one that I read in almost one go. I was intrigued by the story and totally invested in a story that reminded me a little like an Indiana Jones story line and I found myself riveted as the hunt for lost treasure began.
Brought back together by circumstances, Presley has never gotten over Hunter leaving her for a mysterious job and now ten years later when she is struggling in her career, he walks back into her life, challenging everything.
It was interesting how their past relationship morphs into their present one. It was heartwarming to see how much Hunter wants Presley to succeed, both professionally and personally.
As they move through the journey, discovering and following the clues, the story grabbed my imagination and did not let go. This was a beautiful story, of great love, both in the past and present and was swoon worthy.
4.5 Enchanting Stars!
What a fun, intriguing, and sexy, second chance romance! I love the concept of this story with it’s touch of mystery and enchanting scavenger hunt! Presley and Hunter are young lovers making plans for their future. Presley was blindsided and heartbroken when Hunter leaves suddenly on a secret adventure. In the years that follow, She works hard to heal her heart and become a successful Art Curator while Hunter became a famous adventurer. When Presley has the chance of a lifetime to find buried treasure, she wasn’t expecting to be teamed up with the one man she never got over. Hunter is excited to have a second chance to make things right with Presley. Presley and Hunter work together uncovering a seductive puzzle through clues from the old Valentino letters, that takes them on a scavenger hunt. As they research the clues, they easily fall back into their flirty banter filled with steamy innuendo. They also begin to dissect each others love lives, causing old feelings to resurface. They soon discover that their approach to treasure seeking is completely different and they’re involved for very different reasons. Can they trust each other when they start to uncover the mystery? I had so much fun watching them work together so skillfully, playing off each others strengths. I loved how their relationship unfolded synonymously with the beautiful love story that was described through the Valentino Love Letters. All through this adventure, I also enjoyed seeing Presley and Hunter change and grow, wanting the others success more than their own. This story was so much fun and the twists and turns this adventure took were exciting, and kept me engaged from the very start. The ending surprised me and I loved how sweet, and enchanting it was. I was completely captivated by this unique, irresistible, and seductive romance.
P.S. It’s Always Been You: Part 2
By: Lauren Blakely
Narrated by: Andi Arndt, Saskia Maarleveld, Zachary Webber, Scott Eastwood
Lauren Blakely’s serial book continues right where we left off and takes us on an adventure. While Presley and Hunter share an intimate moment, their connection is not yet solidified. I can feel the sexual tension, but waiting to feel the chemistry they had when they were first together. These two continue their exploration of the house, finding some good things, but what is really intriguing are the letters. I am enjoying this part of the story, the adventure the grandparents are taking us on, and can’t wait to see where it leads us in book 3.
The narration continues to be really enjoyable. Andi Arndt and Scott Eastwood keep us up with Presley and Hunter, but addition of Zachary Webber and Saskia Maarleveld as the grandparents is what makes this book for me.They are spot on for these roles, adding that little something to keep us interested. They really fit the parts, with a little fun in their voices, almost a teasing sense as they send us on the trek. Looking forward to the next installment.

The first installment in a trilogy about Hunter a world class sports enthusiast and Presley who has a
masters degree in history and art. After 6 months together Hunter up and leaves Presley without
explanation of where he is going. Lauren Blakely brings the story back to where their
relationship began. Hunter returns to NY and Presley didn’t know he was coming to work with her.
Scott Eastwood’s first narration is good and enjoyable.
