Sam “Mozart” Reed’s life changed the day his little sister was found abused and murdered when he was fifteen. He’s spent the past nineteen years looking for the serial killer who took his sister from him and ruined his family. Using his connections, and SEAL training, Mozart believes he’s finally tracked the killer to the town of Big Bear, California.
Summer Pack is working in a crappy motel up … crappy motel up at Big Bear Lake until she can find something better, more meaningful, more real. Living in an unhealthy situation, she meets a man who is everything she’s ever dreamed about and who helps her see that there are some people in the world who will actually do what they say they will.
But somewhere in Big Bear a killer is waiting to strike again. Watching for the perfect victim.

I just love Susan Stoker’s books. I love the men, I love the gutsy women. I love that the men fall hard. Summer and Sam were no different.
Love all her books
they are can’t put down books
great characters and good stories
Such a wonderful author……akways a great read.
Liked this book so much that I have ordered all of the other books in this series. Great stories with wonderful writing!
I really loved this book. After I got over the fact that someone with Summer’s background could land in her predicament, I enjoyed the book tremendously. Great characters that were brought back from previous books, H and h were two of my favorite characters in Susan’s book. Definitely highly recommend
Enjoyed this book…read it once then reread it.
Loved the characters…Mozart and Summer…feel good…and disturbing during the intense portion of this book.
Up to Stoked standards. Well written, good characters and timing.
Susan finds ways to get you so involved with the characters. The seals were impressive and the love so intense. Always looking forward Susan’s new books.
Sort of not what I usually enjoy so very pleasantly surprised…great characters, believable story line and did not want it to end!
Wow! Couldn’t put it down. And can I say Hot!
Another hit by one of my favorite authors. Susan Stoker’s characters are interesting and, sometimes, unpredictable! Couldn’t put it down!
didnt care for it
Great plot. Likable characters.
Love a good team
I wanted it to be different and not follow the pattern of boy meets girl, saves girl, happy ever after… it was predictable. Sorry.
Loved reading Mozart and Summer’s story. A lot different from the other women, not as much action, but more about meeting and getting to know each other. But when Summer is in trouble, Tex is there trying to get a hold of the team and find summer.
I loved it. Summer shows remarkable ability to do what it takes to survive. Accepting her circumstances, working hard, yet not giving up hope or plans for a brighter future. Mozart is awesome and a dream guy who gives Summer and himself what they both deserve.
I love these books and I can’t want for the next one
I’ve enjoyed this series. Read the books in order to really get to know the characters and the back stories. I’m looking forward to reading the rest in this series
Great book. Love this author.
