Lacy is a brat… Good thing Scott has a firm hand and loves a good challenge. People say I’m a brat like it’s a bad thing. According to Urban Dictionary, which is the only dictionary that really matters, a brat is someone who always gets what they want. How is that bad? True, I didn’t want to get dumped by my BFF. I also didn’t want to be attacked in an alley by some smelly bum. Or have my life … smelly bum.
Or have my life torn to pieces by the FBI.
Or any of the other horrible things that have happened to me lately.
I mean, I guess the guy that came to my rescue is kinda sexy. In a moody, starving artist kind of way. And moving in with him when I had no place else to go has worked out well in the bedroom… orgasmically well. If only Scott wouldn’t shut down every time I try to get to know him. Not that I care about the secrets he’s keeping or anything.
It’s not like I need someone to love me. Not at all. I just need my life, and my clothes, back. I certainly don’t want to keep this new life I’ve made in Brooklyn of all places. Obviously.

Really quick fairly short little novella that does not skimp on heat! This was a really sweet new to me author that was a great little intro, small enough to read in one quick sit through but it had plenty of witty banter, intriguing side stories, and smoking hot sex, this book had everything I look for. Lacey and Scott had amazing chemistry and I really fell in love with their love, it kept me engaged turning the pages to the very end and I can’t wait for the next one!
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this new-to-me author, but I definitely enjoyed Lacy and Scott’s story. I despised Lacy at first, since she appeared to be your typical shallow, party-girl socialite, but she showed her true colors soon enough and quickly changed my mind. She and Scott were perfectly matched and their Alex Riley-esque insta-lust-leading-to-love connection was entertaining and made for a fast and easy read. I’d definitely read more from this author.
I absolutely loved this book!! Lacy and Scott have explosive chemistry even though she tries to ignore it. The storyline was great, had a nice flow to it and had some suspense and drama thrown in to make it one of my favorite reads!
I am so glad that Brandy Ayers decided to write, I freaking love her books. She is definitely becoming one of my favorite authors, I absolutely love her books and writing style. Lacy aka beauty is definitely an OTT brat, but I adored her obnoxious over the top personality, because she was also tough af, with her sarcastic laugh-out-loud-spoiled humor and she’s really business savvy. Her dad had her, but literally did not raise her at all, just tried to throw money at her all the time. She really grew up and took care of herself, no thanks to her dad. Scott is a famous rock star…well not famous to Lacy, but the rest of the normal world. He’s celibate, but let’s be honest, with chemistry like this, his celibacy is about to be a thing of the past. He saved her from being attacked and almost raped. He takes her to the hospital and then to his home to take care of her…she never leaves and he doesn’t want her too. She was definitely a handful, but he was more than capable of “handling” her.
Safe read, no om or ow drama. A little suspense and a great storyline. An OTT spoiled beauty and her celibate rock star alpha that are hot af. He handles his little handful with some loving spankings…believe me, she loves it. This book had me laughing my ass off, with her OTT sarcastic spoiled humor and he gives as good as he gets, doesn’t put up with her crap at all, and I loved it. We not only get one, but three epilogues and an hea.
