Matthew “Wolf” Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn’t have to do it very often. He’d been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as … as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.
When Caroline boarded the plane to Virginia to move across the country for her new job she never expected to be seated next to the hottest guy she’d ever seen. She also never expected he’d be so easy to talk to. She knew he’d never be interested in talking to her if he hadn’t been trapped in the seat next to her, but it was a nice way to spend a long plane ride.
Neither Wolf nor Caroline were prepared for a terrorist hijacking of their plane, but if Caroline thought that would be the last time she’d see, or need, Wolf, she’d be sorely mistaken.
Protecting Caroline is a stand-alone love story. It’s Book 1 in the SEAL of Protection Series.

Another great read from this author. I love her character development over the course of a series of books. With each new release, it’s like catching up on old friends.
O.M.G. This was one of the first books that I read by Susan Stoker. I have to say that after finishing it I looked for the rest of the series and downloaded them all. Now sitting on my wish list are more Susan Stoker books than I’d have to admit to. She definitely keeps your attention during the whole book, and her characters are well …
I absolutely loved this book. The characters and action were fantastic! I loved the romance as well. I absolutely recommend this book to all my friends
***3.00 – 3.50 Stars***
The first half of the book was good and held my attention even though it did drag a bit. Once it got to 50% to the end it got a little wonky. Too much angst on top of angst. OTT on the violence and to a woman no less.
What I liked the least: There was just way-way-way too much focus on good looks. If you weren’t better …
Great read. This is the story of Wolf and Ice, their code names. Wolf is a SEAL, who meets Caroline on a flight to visit with another SEAL, named Tex. As the story unfolds we are met with terrorists, action, betrayal, torture and rescue. What I liked most about this book is Caroline AKA Ice, her fierceness and courageous display left me in awe. …
This was a great book. I loved the story line for the Seals, and felt so bad for Mozart, I’m glad Matthew (Wolf) saved Ice. It was a bad scene but turned out good in the end. would love to read Abe’s book.
I have to say that I for the most part enjoyed this book. The plot was really interesting and Wolf and his team were really great guys who are good at what they do. Their level of trust and skill was really great to read. I liked the suspense and action. It was very entertaining. Wolf was a great hero who I really liked. He was great at his job …
This review is not based on medical or military expertise, after all it’s a work of fiction. I’m basing my review on whether or not it entertained me and kept me glued to my kindle and it did. I really enjoyed it. Caroline who sounds like a sparrow in a world of parrots is one that many readers can relate to. ‘Wolf’ and his teams are a crew of hot …
This was hands-down one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I literally couldn’t put it down, and I devoured every page. Such a great story, and it really draws you in! I loved it!
I really enjoyed this. I don’t often read books in the romance genre. But, my sister recommended it. It reminded me of Dee Henderson’s books without religious overtones. And I love her style. I didn’t stop with Caroline. I’m on my fourth book in the series now. 5*****
This is the first book in Susan Stoker protection series . Navy SEALs they’re in a class all by themselves. This book showed some of what they go through it also had a strong woman who believes in what they do. She have the strength to help them when they needed help, I really enjoyed this book can’t wait to read the rest of the Seals story .
I have every book this author has written! Love her stories!
Caroline is not the typical “remance” novel kind of woman. She is realistic. She is smart, and brave, and strong. She could be any one of us. Not the skinny, gorgeous, head-turning kind of woman you usually read about. The fact that Matthew can see teh real her, made this a book I have read over and over again. I love it!!!
Love those Seals! Really enjoyed this book, will look into more from this writer in the future. Would definitely re-read this, which I normally don’t re-read books.
One of my favorite Susan Stoker books. Caroline can hold her own against the boys of the SEAL team
If you like your heroes as someone who is honest and strong but not afraid to do the dirty work. this is the series for you. I you like your heroines smart but not perfect, this is the series for you. Protecting Caroline is the first in the SEAL of Protection series and it’s a great intro to the series. Wolf and his team mates are not perfect but …
Sorry but…Writing style read as juvenile and repetitive in the first 4 chapters, could use an edit down to 2 chapters to hold interest. Once past chapter 5 the plot and writing improve, getting better and better as the story progresses…then I couldn’t put it down. Loved the characters and the plot. A Susan Stoker fan but this book just wasn’t …
This book was one that I just could not put down. VERY GOOD!!!!!
Left me wanted to find the next book in line. And the next. I just could not get enough. Well written and fun to read. Thank You.
Didn’t like it enough to finish
As always I managed to finally read this book, after reading mores of the others in this series, not like I did not know the characters already, was I disappointed, nahhhh, it was still a great book no matter that it took me forever to get to it.
Our hero Matthew “Wolf” Steel, never cared for the fact that sometimes he had to fly. But luck was on …
