Matthew “Wolf” Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn’t have to do it very often. He’d been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as … as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.
When Caroline boarded the plane to Virginia to move across the country for her new job she never expected to be seated next to the hottest guy she’d ever seen. She also never expected he’d be so easy to talk to. She knew he’d never be interested in talking to her if he hadn’t been trapped in the seat next to her, but it was a nice way to spend a long plane ride.
Neither Wolf nor Caroline were prepared for a terrorist hijacking of their plane, but if Caroline thought that would be the last time she’d see, or need, Wolf, she’d be sorely mistaken.
Protecting Caroline is a stand-alone love story. It’s Book 1 in the SEAL of Protection Series.

This is one of my favorite book series Seals of Protection by Susan series. I felt in love with each character. The good thing is there are 10 more books in the series (one for each Wolf’s Seals teammate), and I couldn’t put down. I’m sure neither can’t you or anyone. I’ll recommended.
I love the set for this series. Caroline proves that she is strong and saves Wolf and his nen which is the perfect set up for her as the matriarch of the team.
This is my first foray into Susan Stoker’s Special Forces collection. Loved it. I actually pulled an all-nighter, something I haven’t done in ages. The sun was coming up as I turned the last page. Loved it! I’m also proud to be joining her in writing for her Kindle World, Special Forces: Operation Alpha this coming November 2018.
O.M.G. This book is FANTASTIC! I LOVED it! If your a person that loves a really, really good, edge of your seat story with a strong romance on top of that, this is the book for you!! Ms. Stoker KNOW how to write a romantic suspense with real character and believable situations! This book deserves 10 stars in my book!!
OMG this was the first book I read from Susan Stoker and fell in love with the series from the very beginning!!
Great romantic suspense, first in a series. Great action by seals and civilians. I was lured by this book to buy more in the series, please don’t make the same mistake. The books became shorter and more erotic, the plots less believable to the point that it was erotica with a loose story wrapped around it. The first book though is really great! …
It was wonderful book where a girl helps save a seal team and the seal wolf follows in love girl but people trying hi jacking plane come after her wolf saves her and the fall in love.
This book start my obsession with all of Susan books. That says a lot
I enjoyed this book, it lead me to the rest of the series.
This is the first book in the SEAL of Protection series.
Matthew “Wolf” Steel and two of his SEAL teammates were flying commercial to meet a retired friend when he meets Caroline.
Matthew is a big guy and the middle seat on the airplane was uncomfortable for a guy his size. Caroline noticed his discomfort and offered to switch seats with …
As an avid Susan Stokes fan,I have read many of her books in several different series. What I love the most about Susan Stokes novels is her innate understanding of what makes an Alpha Special Operations military man so special. With a less empathetic author, these unique men can come off as overbearing, domineering, and just plain bossy! Susan …
I love Susan Stoker’s books, but this one almost felt as though it was ghost-written by someone else. Lots of head-hopping among multiple characters. An unexpected amount of telling vs. showing.
I was excited to see how Wolf and Caroline (Ice) got together–and the opening was outstanding. How could you not like Caroline and see what a special …
A love story and extreme suspense. An excellent beginning of the series. I definitely recommend this book.
4.5
This book tells us the story between Caroline and Matthew “Wolf” Steel, who met on a commercial flight going out of San Diego to Virginia. Wolf finds himself sitting in the dreadful middle seat, while Caroline (sitting in the aisle seat) takes pity on the uncomfortable build-like-a-brick-wall stranger sitting next to her and offers to …
Moving to the east coast for a new job, Caroline got more than she bargained for when she made the decision to fly instead of drive. With her moving expenses being covered by her new employer she had nothing to lose by jumping on a plane. Being seated next to a military hottie is just a bonus of the flight. Matthew (Wolf) and a couple of his SEAL …
Caroline kicks ass. Yes she is unassuming and tends to blend in. But there are operatives who make a living off of being able to go unnoticed. Yes she had some slight self esteem issues but who wouldn’t when you see how she is treated compared to the ‘barbies’. It’s crazy. Loved how she fought to help knowing she couldn’t do much but knew it might …
Wow! A totally action packed story that had me hooked from the very beginning. Caroline was really awesome. She was so brave. What she had to endure? Goodness. I’m so glad everything worked out for her and Matthew aka Wolf.
Holy Wow! I have never read anything by Susan Stoker before. What an introduction. I will definitely need to check out more of her works.
I can’t even begin to explain the rush of emotions I experienced while reading. It was such a quick read – I couldn’t put it down once I started.
Love Caroline. I am so blown away by her care and concern for a …
Since I read the SEAL of Protection: Legacy series first, I had read a lot about Wolf and Caroline, but I did not know their story until now. Protecting Caroline, is the first book in the SEAL of Protection series and is a fantastic read. I quickly fell in love with Matthew and Caroline aka Wolf and Ice.
On a commercial airline flight the two …
Not exactly what I was expecting.
This is was a fast and full of suspense book. The story had potential and the characters were nice. I just couldn’t connect with any of them.
It was interesting at first how the heroine was overlooked even though she had so much to give, but then this started to get tiresome and she became a victim of her looks, …
