This is the second book in the series. Samuel is the twin brother of the king, Alexander (mated to a dragon main character)
It’s been a year since Alexander and Lisa met. And Lisa is slowly bringing the dragons into this century.
Jessica is a wolf, and she’s on the run. She is suppose to be marrying another wolf, but she doesn’t want to marry for an alliance, she wants a true love match. She hates the alpha, he’s cruel, and she wants no part of it.
Samuel spots an injured woman whilst out, he tries to offer her aid (which is flatly refused) but he’s very intrigued by her, and wants to know more.
Swearing to keep her safe from both wolves and dragons (they have been enemies for centuries) Samuel wants his wolf and will fight anyone to keep her.
But Jessica can’t trust a dragon, can she? He’s not like the stories they were told as a child. He’s kind and generous. But she can’t stay, she has to return to her village (her sister is in need of help) running from Samuel isn’t what she wants to do, but she can’t ask him for help!!!
The second book gives us more background on the hatred between wolves and dragons.
I’m hoping we get a few more books in this series, as it’s a fun afternoon read.
Can a dragon and a wolf find happiness together? You’ll. red to read to find out
This is wonderful. Simon is very different from his brother, Alexander. He is studious and sensitive. Jessica is a wolf shifter that lives not far from the dragon’s lair. After being promised to their overbearing and mean alpha. She meets Simon after she breaks her leg and he finds her there. They both know that it is dangerous to become involved. Simon is so sweet and patient with her. His knowledge about women and relationships is nil. I love that he felt comfortable talking to his sister-in-law, Lisa, about what to do about Jessica. Jessica finds out that most everything she was taught is not exactly true. She faces her fears for herself and her sister and with Simon’s help, she comes out on the other side. Great second addition to the series. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
NICE story. I loved it. All the excitement, danger and uncertainty. A woman running away from home. Falling down a crevasse and breaking her ankle. Finding a dragon and falling for him. Really nice, well done. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Excellent contemporary were-beings romance with suspense to keep the reader turning pages. Jessica chose to run away from her werewolf pack never expecting to come face to face with a dragon. Samuel came across a beautiful injured werewolf and offered to help her in spite of their history of wars. The author did a great job of developing the story line and the characters. This is the second book regarding this clan of dragons and I look forward to reading many more.
Kayla Wolf’s second book in the Dragon Valley series is Protected by the Dragon. The history reveal between the dragons and wolves really enhanced the world building and I expect more enlightenment in the future stories.
This is a story filled with tension, chemistry, enemies, friends, family, politics, love and of course, fated mates. Shakespeare would have loved it. I was totally involved with this story, turning page after page
Samuel is the new King’s brother and a little bored with life.
Jessica is fleeing an arranged marriage with someone she hates, the Alpha. After falling down a crevice and breaking her leg, she wakes to a very handsome man staring down at her — Not a man, a dragon — her enemy. She’s been taught that the only good dragon is a dead dragon. Is he going to eat her?
This story offers a growing romance, intrigue, suspense, and a slow build to the steamy scenes. I highly recommend this author and this 5 star series.
I look forward to more adventures — after all, Helena still needs to find her mate, even Amara deserves someone to love.
I did receive an advanced readers copy from the author. The above is my voluntary review.
