For Franki Amato, life in New Orleans is anything but “The Big Easy.” When she met handsome bank executive Bradley Hartmann, she knew she’d finally found a man she could trust. But she can’t say the same for his sexy new secretary, who is about as trustworthy as Mata Hari and every bit as seductive. Meanwhile, Franki’s best friend and employer, Veronica Maggio, has named her the lead investigator … investigator in the murder of a gorgeous cosmetics CEO who was found lying dead in the master bedroom of a historic plantation home.
Now the pressure is on Franki to figure out what a bottle of pink lip gloss and the legend of a pink diamond have to do with the bizarre killing. The problem is that the plantation is notorious for being haunted, and Franki is less than enthusiastic about the prospect of meeting a ghost. Adding to her stress, her Sicilian grandma is up to her usual meddling antics—this time planning Franki’s engagement to Bradley before he’s even considered popping the question. As Bradley grows distant and plantation employees begin dropping like Southern belles during a sweltering summer, Franki turns to a psychic with a phobia of ghosts to solve the mysterious murders and her own relationship fears.

Franki Amatto is still figuring out life in New Orleans, and her problems are mounting! The agency is hired to find out who who killed a young women, imitating a murder that happened many years ago at a local plantation, and Veronica has decided it’s time for Franki to solo! There are almost too many suspects, this time. And her love life is also in trouble as Bradley’s bank is merging with another bank, and his new, sexy secretary has her eyes on Bradley and keeps shutting Franki out. Meanwhile, her Nonna (Italian grandma) has decided that it’s time that they get engaged and is causing no end of crazy problems! A spiritual medium gives Franki advice! This is one fine goose chase, between spirits, suspects, and Nonna! I received a free copy of this book from the author and write this review voluntarily.
Prosecco Pink is a light mystery (despite several murders) with complex plotting and plenty of humor. Franki, our intrepid protagonist, runs down one lead after another straight into dead ends until … well, I guess you’ll just have to read the book yourself! Very entertaining.
Franki has a hard time solving the mystery of who killed two people, while having trouble with her boyfriend. This story is entertaining and filled with action and adventure. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book , as a FREE book and I voluntarily leave this review.
When Franki Amato and Veronica Maggio are hired to Investigate the murder of a cosmetics CEO at a plantation, they never expected ghosts or other phenomenon entities coming into play. While Franki investigates the murder, she finds that her boyfriend’s secretary is trying to move in on her man and ruin his career. Of course, she cannot let it go. I love how Traci normally has multiple cases going on, sometimes tied together but all usually getting Franki into some sort of trouble. These books, while murder mysteries have a lot of laugh out loud moments, Franki always manages to get herself into some sort of trouble during the investigations. Throw in the witchcraft and voodoo common to the New Orleans background as well as her overbearing, meddling Italian family, there is always fun and chaos. The narrator does a good job differentiating the different characters so you know when the person changes. Loving this series. Can’t wait to see what else is in store for Franki and friends.
Traci Andrighetti has an awesome imagination. Not necessarily a badass, doesn’t always have the answers, has an aggressive Italian family…these are a few of the reasons that I love Franki Amato. Franki gets a little jealous when her boyfriend starts spending time with his new sexy assistant at the bank. Who wouldn’t! On the lookout for a killer and still keeping an eye on her boyfriend, Franki gets herself into more than one jam. Things are really looking bad for Franki, even her relationship with her best friend and coworker Veronica is being tested. This book takes you on a fun adventure in NOLA, a place I would love to visit. I can almost smell the alligator jerky while listening to Madeline Mrozek narrate. Madeline does a fantastic job separating characters, keeping a good rhythm and maintaining steady accents throughout the book.
Highly recommend!
