I never thought my life could get any weirder, then Jane Lowry came into my office. It seemed like a straightforward paternity case. Something simple for my first solo assignment as a private investigator. Everyone has secrets. Jane Lowry’s would lead me down a path that would completely change my life. I knew the world was full of crazy things but nothing would prepare me for how crazy it would … me for how crazy it would get.

Prophecy Girl: Camille Bishop book 1 Ravin Tija Maurice
Can you say Page-turner! this book will keep you up past your bedtime wanting to keep reading to find out what happens next! I’m typically not a Fantasy genre reader but I enjoyed this book and the characters were well developed. I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t go into details of the book but I will say this is a must-read! I’m very interested in reading more by this author 🙂
5 Star
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice is a Paranormal/Fantasy that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till I finished. From the very beginning I was drawn in and the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. This is my first read by this Author but definitely not my last. A private investigator gets their very first solo job in what they thought would be a regular paternity case until it’s not. Wow is all I can say to just how crazy things get. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more.
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice
5-Stars
Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice was an exciting and fun read. I loved Cam and her personality. She is a dedicated PI and enjoys what she does. Several things totally shocked me later on in the story regarding Jesse but at the same time they were not a huge surprise. He was shady from the get go. Cam really seemed to blossom in this book and I loved following her work as a PI. This book was an easy read and was super addictive. The storyline had an easy flow and was organized well. I can’t to see what comes next.
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice is definitely a page turner. This is the first time I have read anything by this author and it is definitely not a genre I read often, but it kept me intrigued. Camille is a PI working on her first case. She figures it will be a simple open and shut DNA case, but she couldn’t be more wrong. She seems to be coming up with more questions than answers that connect to this original case in more ways than one. I am eager to find out what happens next on her journey.
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) is a wonderful fantasy/supernatural story. From the beginning, the story drew me in and kept me turning pages. The story of Camille Bishop is one of intrigue and twisting paths. The secondary characters are just as interesting as Camille herself. Will her friends truly help her or do they have their own agendas?
I can’t wait to read the next story in the series!
This book was strange in the best way possible! You’d get answers to one question just to be clueless about another..it was great!!! The very definition of a page turner that left you wanting more!!!! What is supposed to be a simplistic assignment ends up being much more complicated than originally thought.
Great book that combines mystery and paranormal elements. Something for everyone in this book!!!
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1)
by Ravin Tija Maurice
This story intrigued me from the beginning. In this story there is suspense, paranormal, and wonderful characters. Camille just got her first case on her own as a PI and it looks to be a pretty simple case of paternity, until it’s exactly the opposite of simple. There are unexpected twists and turns in this story that kept me turning pages to see what would happen next. As this story progresses Camille finds things out about herself and her family that she may have not known otherwise, or at least not yet. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I cannot wait to see where this series takes in the next book. I highly recommend this book.
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice was a great read. I really let myself sink into the story and into Camille’s head. Right off the bat there are so many questions and it all fits together so well. I love the oddness, the mystery, the crime, the romance, and the supernatural. I felt like this book had all the things that I enjoy and it all blended so well. I cannot wait to read more!
Wow! I had no idea what I was getting into but I was pleasantly surprised. This book has unseen twists and turns and just keeps you turning pages. I thought the writer did a great job introducing us to main characters and support characters. Solid job. 4 stars.
Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice is the first book in the Camille Bishop series. This was a fun read with twists and turns. The story also has a bit of murder and fantasy all rolled into one. I had not read a book by this author before and was drawn in by the blurb. Not knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised. Camille is a PI who seems to have an intriguing back story. She is hired for what looks like a routine paternity case, but it turns out to be anything but simple. This book kept me reading and I am curious where the next book will go with Camille’s story.
Prophecy Girl is my first book by Ravin Tija Maurice. I was not sure what I would find inside the covers of this book. I was not disappointed. Ravin Tija Maurice built up the characters to be fully developed, believable, and made me feel like I have known them for many years. The plot line was engaging and I found myself turning the pages rather quickly. This story is about Camille Bishop and her first PI case by herself. When Jane Lowry walked through the door, Camille thought it was going to be an easy paternity case but that quickly changed as Camile started digging into the file. There is so much more to Jane Lowry’s case that left Camille’s head spin around. Will Camille be able to produce the information Jane is asking for? What other things will Camille find? I highly recommend you read this book.
I give Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice, 5 stars.
This book is absolutely outstanding!!! The blurb and cover intrigued me, but it the story itself was so much more than I could ever hope for. A paranormal/urban fantasy book, it also have all the makings of a great detective novel and a girl trying to find herself when she never really fit in. Camille has gone through so much. When she decides to take charge of her life, she realizes how much more there is to herself. Then there is her job. She is given her first assignment and it seems pretty straightforward. Well, it would be a pretty short book if it really was. The web gets more tangled the more she investigates. Oh and not let us forget Camille herself. Why do weird things keep happening?
The story just keeps coming at you. There is so much going on, but not in a confusing, muddied way. The twists and turns are meant to confuse and thrill you. The character building is fantastic and I cannot wait to read the next one. This is a spectacular mix of the paranormal, detective, and finding just who you are and how strong you will become. I can’t put into words how much I loved this book, and I highly recommend it.
Omg and wow. If you like paranormal stories and crime stories then this has everything you could want.
Camille is working as a Private Investigator in her uncles firm. Her first client seems like a straight forward paternity case but how wrong is was
The results of Jane’s test opened up a whole load of trouble when it proved she wasnt who she thought she was and that her father was actually a vampire who is head of a mafia group.
Things go from bad to worse when Jane is found dead. Murdered by her true family or someone else that is now the job of Camille to find out.
As well as this case she has to deal with her missing drug addict ex boyfriend and also secrets of her past that she was never aware of.
Its a great story from page one. I couldn’t put it down.
This is my first book by Ravin Tija Maurice and i find it very intriguing. The premise of this book is different than my usual reads however I will give anything ago. I have not regret this this is a book that build on the story as it goes. Camille is a very strong female character with a well trained brain. Camille is doing a case which leads to some trouble how will this be dealt with. Janes case seems simple put its lead Camille down some unusual paths. The Paranormal element suprised me but Ravin executes it well within the premise of this book. I can’t wait for the next book as this has quickly became one of my favourites
Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tina Maurice is a fantastic read. I was so surprised with how much I loved the beginning of Camille Bishop’s story. It truly felt like she was my bestie through all the twists and turns. All the characters that you meet in this story you instantly want to know more about. Prophecy Girl is basically what would happen if Veronica Mars met paranormal/fantasy genre! I honestly had no expectations when I started reading this novel, but it left me pleasantly surprised and wanting more! I can’t wait to read more of Camille Bishop‘s story!
Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice is a murder mystery paranormal urban fantasy story that has a little of everything to draw you in. There are a lot of characters in this book and Ravin did a good job of setting the scene and writing them as people and bringing them to life. It is a story full of emotions but the unpredictable makes it hard to put down.
The world in which Camille lives is anything but normal as she soon discovers as she ventures into her role as a PI. She learns that life is not as black and white as she believed and those she can trust are few in numbers. Not only that but she has to come to terms with who she is and what those around her want with her new powers.
Prophecy Girl has set the scene for what is to come from this author.
4 Stars
Prophecy Girl is the first book in the Camille Bishop series by Ravin Tija Maurice. It is a very original mix of crime, mystery, and paranormal. This is my first read by Ms. Maurice, but after reading this story, it definitely won’t be the last.
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going in to this book- but the blurb intrigued me enough to want to find out. While there were times the story lagged a bit as the foundations of the story/series were laid out and characters introduced- but, overall this was a great first instalment in what is shaping up to be a captivating series.
Camille Bishop is a PI who thinks her first solo assignment looks to be a fairly straightforward paternity case- but things soon get quite complicated as interesting twists and developments are woven into the storyline. The paranormal element was quite a clever addition to the story and made the whole thing even more interesting and compelling. So, this first case for Camille sets her on an adventure of discovery- taking her on a journey that she never expected.
The characters were all interesting, fully realised individuals with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. I am intrigued to see where the story and rest of the series will lead- what awaits us in book #2- can’t wait to dive in.
Thank you, Ravin Tija Maurice!
I was completely blown away with this little murder mystery read from Ravin Tija Maurice. She is a new to me author that really grabbed my attention and has me aching for not only the next book in this series but anything else she may have already released. I am going to be going on a binge here soon of her works but this was a perfect way to introduce her writing style to me.
Prophecy Girl is the first book in the Camille Bishop series, and you get that first book vibe for a lot of the first part of this book There is a lot of character setup for side characters and storylines you just know will make a reappearance at some point in the future. I really love Camille, our main character gal. I did struggle at first with her only because I was so irritated with all the crap she was taking from the loser boyfriend Jesse. I won’t lie once that resolved it was easier for me to dive in and really get to know Camille and the other things that were going on. I had not expected to be introduced to some fantastical characters but I loved how Maurice made it work and seem believable. For me that was an enhancement to the story. I can’t wait to find out what will come next!
Prophecy Girl is the first book in Ravin Tina Maurice’s Camille Bishop series. Bishop is a PI, just starting to take her own cases. What seems like a simple case – a young woman worrying that the man she thinks is her father might not be – quickly turns complicated. The case leads Bishop into a paranormal world, and offers to shed some light on the fate of her own parents.
I like how this series combines the genres of mystery and paranormal. The story is very much grounded in reality, and so takes the reader along when it expands into fantasy.
Bishop is an interesting character. She’s very self-analytical, but nonetheless confident and determined to finish the job. She’s got a good support network and reaches out to them for advice and help – I particularly like her cousin Kiera, who followed the family tradition of joining law enforcement.
This is a great book if you can’t decide whether you want to read a classic mystery or a paranormal adventure. It would also be a good way to get a taste for one of the genres if you’re already familiar with the other – a way to bridge the gap. For me, it’s a four star book. Great characters, and an intriguing story!
It’s not a terrible book. I think I should have adjusted my kindle settings to read this one as I feel like the layout is a little funky. I enjoyed it for sure. The characters were well written, but I got confused as they all blended together in the writing. I will definitely be looking for the other books in this series though!
