Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1)
By: Zeia Jameson
5 out of 5 stars
The story Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson is a book that I loved reading. It pulled me in right from the start and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Stella Rosencourt and Padraig MacNamara. Stella is a hard-working event planner. She puts in long hours making sure that the events she plans go smoothly. She doesn’t have time for distractions. Then she meets Padraig. Padraig is a man who is covered in ink. He shows kindness and helps those in need. After they meet Stella is sure he has something against her. She is also finding herself attracted to him. Is there a future between Stella and Padraig and if so, what does it hold? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to care about Stella and Padraig with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but love reading about their interactions with each other. I also enjoyed reading about the interactions between them and the other characters that are introduced. This is a book that is entertaining to read and one I would highly recommend.

Padraig and Stella are fireworthy! The heat between these two whether they’re fighting or loving is off the charts.
This was a quick read for me, and though it seemed there was a little rush at the end, I still enjoyed it.
St. Patrick’s, Irish, event planner, tattoos, foreign accent.
Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson
5 Stars
This is my 2nd book by this author and I loved this one as much as I did the first. I think what I loved about this book the most is that there was no hidden hurtful pasts or bad relationships that caused these two to guard their hearts leaving the road wide open for these two to get to know each other….Although that will be hard to do when it seems they totally despise each other.
This was such a fun read, I read it in one sitting and completely fell in love with these characters, Padraig is the mayor’s son and although he loves his Dad, he can’t even come close to stomaching Victoria, the woman he is married to. He lives part time with his Mam, and the other part of the time he lives in a room at the Jaded Lily, a tattoo shop. He is a very generous and loving person to most people and I fell in love with him from the beginning, even with him being so hateful to some, I knew there had to be a reason.
Stella is an event coordinator working for a company that is handling the mayors St. Patrick’s Day ball. Her boss has begun acting really weird and has made it almost impossible to keep her job. She can’t seem to please her or the Mayor’s wife during the planning of this ball and it is weighing on her terribly, and to top it off she is dealing with a gorgeous man full of tattoos who can’t seem to do or say anything to her besides calling her stupid.
This story had such an easy flow and the storyline was fantastic, I love how it did not drag on and it wasn’t filled with any fluff that wasn’t needed for the story to play out. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, Luca and Kerry were an awesome part of this book and I hope that Padraig and Stella are still an awesome part of theirs.
Loved it!!!
Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson is a five star novel. This novel will have you wrapped around the author’s little finger. I loved every minute of it. When we are introduced to Stella, she is almost maniacally busy and off kilter. I feel like that is my life sometimes so I love reading about other people whose lives rare more crazy than mine. When she meets Padraig, he is the worst person ever and is very offensive. As she continues to try to find him, she runs into him and continues to have unkind words with him, that is until they are finally able to get on common ground and let down their barriers. As she plans an event for the mayor’s wife, Padraig tells her she needs to have more of a true Irish flair. As they start to plan together, both are happy and excited to see where this leads.
I am new to this author. I got this book because of the synopsis and the tattooed guy. I regret NOTHING! This book was amazing from cover to cover. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down, I finished it in one day! It was very well written and the author has a way of making you fall in love with the characters. The story line was remarkable and I would highly recommend this story to anyone into romance novels. I look forward to reading more in the series and more from this author!
Proper Irish is Book One in the Jaded Lily Series and my second book by this author. I did read these books out of order but I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything, I just gained more from it this way!
This author has a brilliant writing style that is descriptive, flowing and writes a brilliant storyline with some even better characters. I was totally captivated with this read, I couldn’t wait to see whether our two main characters Padraig & Stella get a HEA, but even if not I just loved following their journey in this read! I loved their connection and the interactions they had throughout.
I loved this book and cant wait to see what else will happen with this series. I highly recommend this read and everything else Zeia Jameson brings, you won’t be disappointed.
This is a story about how someone who you hate becomes someone that you love and can’t live without.
Stella is a hard working event planner whos always busy rushing around. One day while carrying heavy things she falls and hears a voice calling her a stupid girl.
That voice belong to a guy called Padraig, he looks like a thug full of tattoos and a aggressive temper to go with it.
But people arent always what they seem and as they begin to get to know each other they realise just how wrong they were. First impressions aren’t always the right ones.
I loved this book, the love/hate relationship keeps you gripped and their path to true love is anything but smooth sailing
Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson
5-Stars
Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson was an exciting , fun, and romantic read. This book was addicting from beginning to end. This is the first book I have read from this author and I was extremely pleased. The story was easy to follow and descriptive. I loved the character development for all the characters. The two main characters Padraig and Stella were wonderful and I totally fell in love with them. I had no problem picturing Padraig and his Irish accent. It definitely made his character stand out. This was such an amazing read and I highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more from this series.
A great read about culture. Stella is a party planner trying to organise a St Patrick’s Day Ball. She tries her best to arrange it despite the customers picky pacularities. But on meeting her stepson in the garden, Stella is infused with new ideas that go against everything her boss and customer wants. But at the end of the day is honour better than coin?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Stella standing up for herself but kind underneath or Padraig tough on the outside but caring on the inside. Great cast of supporting characters like the sweet and motherly Moira or the fun friend Kerry. A great antagonist in Rachel, perfectly done and not too much.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the sense of the town with cobbled streets and small shops and everyone knowing each other. Or the garden with its green grass and the sunlight and pretty magnolia flowers. Or the scenes with the fountain with its relaxing water for a sense of calm wonderfully written. Or the scenes in moiras House with the use of the senses with taste and smell so strong its as if you’re actually there loved the sense of the novel starting straight in with the action, captivating the reader from the start. I also loved the use of Irish culture, with its food and traditions given the respext and love they deserve. Over a, a great read and I would give it five stars
This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I love a good enemy to lovers story but this talented author exceeded my expectations. This is the first book in the Jaded Lily series. I could not put this book down for anything. These characters drew me in right from the beginning. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing book.
Stella is a well known event planner. She loves her job so much that is all she thinks about. Stella has to plan a party that can make or break her. She has to plan the St. Patrick’s Day ball for the mayor. Stella has no time for distractions until she runs into a handsome but rude stranger. She feels a connection to this man but she doesn’t understand why. Stella gets to know Padraig and she falls head over heels but they are totally different. She knows that this man is not right for her but what if he is? Will Stella take a chance on this bad boy or will she stay away from him like she should?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, drama, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Stella is a very independent woman that wants a great career. She doesn’t want to be tied down to a man. Padraig is a broody Irishman that loves his mom. He doesn’t like the wealthy due to his past. Padraig is a jerk in the beginning but once you see his heart you will fall in love with him. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will have you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write for us next.
Proper Irish is the fantastic first book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. I had not previously read any of this authors work and I have to hand it to her, I absolutely loved this book. If this first book in the series is anything to go by then this series is going to be right up there among my favourites.
The story centres around Stella Rosencourt who as an events planner is planning a St Patrick’s Day event for the local mayor who originates from Ireland. Unfortunately the mayor’s wife is a complete bitch and making Stella’s life hell. Add to that the mayor’s son Padraig has taken an immediate dislike to Stella. When Stella asks for Padraig’s help to make the event as authentically Irish as possible sparks are soon flying between the 2. As much as they dislike each other, they can’t deny the attraction.
I loved this story and devoured it all in one sitting. Padraig and Stella are amazing characters who are very well written. Padraig comes across as very abrupt and unpleasant to begin with but we soon get to see the much softer, charitable side of him. The interactions between the 2 can be quite entertaining to say the least. The secondary characters add a lot to the story. In particular I loved Padraig’s mum Moira. We are also introduced to Stella’s best friend Kerry and Padraig’s friend Luca who runs the tattoo shop, Jaded Lily, who seem to have hit it off too.
I already have the next book Proper Ink, which is Luca and Kerry’s story on my kindle and I can’t wait to dive in. If it’s anything like this book then I’m sure I’ll be loving that one too.
Proper Irish was quite the little tale and I for the most part really enjoyed my time with Padraig and Stella. I will be upfront about it though and say that a few things just fell a bit short for me personally. I struggled to connect and fall for with Padraig. He is a hot head and honestly I would have given up well before Stella. Heck she gave him all the chances, to which I will say made her shine as a strong-willed and fierce woman. She definitely held her own with Padraig and was probably the only one that could.
The overall writing and storyline was good however and I did enjoy the overall book once I was said and done. The characters did eventually grow on me and by the end I too found myself rooting for Stella and Padraig. Zeia Jameson was a new author to me though, and this is a first novel in a series so I simply see it as room to grow and chances for improvement. I enjoyed it enough to be back for more with book two. Overall a solid four star read from a new author is definitely not something to complain about!
Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson is a great quick read! This book is a total 5 out of 5 stars. I wish I had read this lying on the beach! You jump right into Stella’s life as an event planner and immediately find out that she is good at her job and has great intentions. She is kind and has proper manners, at least until Padraig comes into her life. Her fire shines and her confidence soars during her interactions with him. Padraig’s character comes of super standoffish and intimidating but something keeps pulling Stella back. I really enjoyed the flow of this book, it took me on a journey of a brief period of time in Stella’s life. I loved that the history and descriptions were brief but efficient enough to build a world. I loved Padraig’s character, the development and confidence was a breath of fresh air. He looks like your typical alpha but has a depth to him that is unexpected.
Proper Irish was a great 5 star read and book one in the Jaded Lily series.
This is my first read from this author, I was pulled right in.
Stella is an event planner, she is getting ready for a big event for the mayor. When she falls in front of Padraig and he fails to help her, she is determined to find out why he treats her so badly. When she learns the truth, things change for her. It took me a bit to like Padraig, but eventually he pulled me in.
Can these two have a HEA?
Overall this enemies to lovers read was great. The chemistry between these two was off the charts, they were made for each other. Stella was a strong and determined character. Both characters had my emotions all over the place. The detail the author used was great, you felt like you were right there. The locations were great. The secondary characters added a great element to the story as well.
Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson was a pretty okay read that kept me reading.
My first read by this author, I took a chance because this book seemed right up my ally, and I’ve been wanting a good romance to kick start the heart. I fell pretty easy into this book, it read well and had a pretty good setup, and storyline. But, I felt that the characters weren’t as developed as they could have been, and at times the tone felt a little too teenage like, like it read more like a YA at times, than an adult book. That pulled me out of the story and frankly, it was a tab bit annoying.
Other then that, I did very much enjoy this read, it read fairly fast and I loved the misunderstanding with the two MC’s, and how they both had skewed vision of one another. These redemption type books always get me, cause they usually have fun drama and banter that keeps you reading and grinning. This book was no different, and like I said, even though I had some issues, it kept me engaged, grinning and it kept me there.
To end this book gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval
Happy Reading

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson. This is the story of Stella Rosencourt and Padraig MacNamara. Stella is a very successful, independent and strong woman. She’s the Premier Event Coordinator Of Savannah’s Elite. Padraig is a foul mouthed, tattooed rough guy with a secret. When Stella and Padraig first meet they hate each other. Stella feels like he has a vendetta against her but as she finds out why he’s the way he is she has compassion for him and wants to get to know him better. Stella is in the midst of preparing for the biggest event of her career, the Mayor’s St. Patrick’s Day ball and she can’t really afford any distractions but she can’t help but wonder about Padraig. Her instinct is telling her he’s trouble but her nosiness wants to know more. Will they both let down their guards long enough to see if they can make a relationship work? Read Proper Irish to find out!
This quick, fast-paced read had me enthralled from the first page to the last. Just the right amount of spunk, sass, wit, and romance. The story had a great pace and rhythm. I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
Proper Irish had me captivated from the start and imagining that sexy Irish accent every time Padraig spoke. Stella is confused when she finds herself intrigued by him even though he is rude and disrespectful to her and seems to hang around with questionable types. These two slowly discover that you should not judge people before you get to know them. As these two find out that there is more than the cover they have been judging things start to hot up and get extremely interesting. Their story is packed full of enough suspense, drama, romance and steam to have you gripped right to the end.
Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson was an enjoyable read for my first book by this author. The cover and blurb had me wanting to read this book, I was not disappointed! Who doesn’t love a man with an Irish accent?
I loved everything about this book; I didn’t want to see it end. Padraig and Stella were amazing together. The way these two meet was hilarious, I totally would have taken Kerry up on her offer. I laugh the first time I read what Padraig called his step-mother. I liked how the City if Savannah felt like it was a character in this story, so need to plan a trip there to see for myself how beautiful the city is.
I can’t wait to read Luca and Kerry’s story. But first, I need some soda bread, corn beef, and cider!!
