Proper Ink is the second book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. I would recommend that you read Proper Irish before reading this book as some events overlap. This book also fills in some of the little blanks that were in the first book. Luca Cipriani and Kerry Frazier click from the beginning with their sarcastic comments and instant chemistry. Due to how Luca’s last relationship ended, he has some issues with relationships – totally understandable poor guy was blindsided, but being with Kerry makes him think/see things differently. I loved the backstory of how Luca and Padraig meet and become friends. And we get to find out how the tattoo shop got its name.
Overall, this was a well written enjoyable book; you will be hooked right from the beginning and read in one shot. Hoping for another book in this series.
Proper Ink is the second book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson and I recommend that you read the first book Proper Irish as you are missing a lot of background information/story and there will be a disconnect with the characters. I absolutely love this series and even though there are times of sadness it had me laughing out loud.
Luca is going through the motions of living life, but he is stuck and not sure how to move on. Kerry loves life and works herself to the bone and has just what the doctor has ordered, but she will need to pull out all the stops, to fight for a chance at happiness.
Both books are a must read. Zeia works magic when writing romances and makes you feel part of the story and connected to these wonderful characters.
Ready for a read that will get you hooked instantly? That is this book. This is story of tattoo artist and tattoo shop owner Luca. He has had his heart shattered into a million pieces. This is his story from the moment the love of his life betrayed him three years earlier to present day. We find out how he became a tattoo artist and came to own the shop, Jaded Lily. As the reader we go through the emotions with Luca as he goes from happy to heartbroken to depressed and eventually to healing. Just when he thinks that he is happy being jaded and unwilling to take a chance on love again, he meets Kerry. From the moment they meet she changes his thinking. He tries to fight it but there is something about her.
It was a great emotional journey to go through with Luca. I enjoyed every minute. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down! The author reels the reader in and keeps the reader there until the very end. I found myself feeling invested in these characters. I was laughing with them, had my heart feel broken, got angry at any one who did them wrong, wanted to shake them when they were being stubborn and fell in love all over again.
I recommend this book to fans of a good healing story. This is a definite read for romance fans. But those who aren’t too into romance stories usually will even enjoy this. There is so much more than meets the eye to this story.
This is a book 2 in the series. But it can be read as a standalone. This book was my introduction to the series. I will definitely be reading Book 1 Proper Irish about Luca’s friend Padraig & Kerry’s friend Stella (they are the reason Luca & Kerry meet). They are in book two but there is nothing that would spoil book 1 or be hard to understand in book 2.
So go! Read this story. Get ready to go through the emotions. But it is a fun ride and well worth it.
Proper Ink sweeps you away into a beautiful love story, an amazing love story. One that will sit with you for awhile. Luca is a lost and lonely soul. Kerry is a bright and happy soul. When together they heal the hurts they didn’t know they had. Luca had a tragic heartbreak in the past and now three years later it still affects him. He doesn’t date, he’s a loner, and he’s socially awkward. Kerry is trying to make life work for her. She has a terrible boss and a hectic job. Once they meet a stunning story of love and hope emerge.
Zeia Jameson pulls on all the heartstrings with this lovely book. I don’t think I’ve ever rooted so hard for a couple as I did for Luca and Kerry. I wanted them both to get the elusive happily ever after. And after a few bumps they got that. This was my first Zeia Jameson book, but definitely won’t be my last!
