It is a romance novel but deals with such things as survival guilt, a slowly developing love and a town that is not very friendly but which changes its attitude after a rousing speech. The heroine whose husband died in war wants to turn the place into a B&B, but the place needs a lot of work.
This whole series is wonderful.
