John Frist was a good soldier, until his Humvee was hit by an IED in Iraq. Discharged, he carries out one of the worst terror attacks in US history. Captured and brainwashed, he is remade by Project StrikeForce into a technologically enhanced super-soldier. Now he must find a former Mujahideen, Abdullah the Bomber, before Abdullah can strike the US with a terror attack of his own.

This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
This book is a combat/anti-terrorist book with sci-fi elements. It is super action packed and never dull. This story is about a soldier named John, a good soldier but gets screwed over by the army and he comes back …
Couldn’t put the book down!!
Hard to put down. Good character development. Reminds me of early Tom Clancy.
Page tuner. Very good.
A fairly good twist and creative cast of new characters.
The action was intense. This secret organization had amazing technology. Can’t wait to read more of this team. Great for the action junkie. Enjoy.
Well written military thriller. Interesting read.
Awesome book, can’t wait to start the next in the series.
At first I did not like John because of what he did.
Then I got to thinking about the person in the Army that went to Afghanistan a few times and had encountered more that one IUD. I could see that this person had problems and then I understood how John acted like he did.
I like this series a lot and will continue to read it. This is the first …
This was a fast-paced action thriller. There were a lot of twists and turns to keep the reader interested and guessing what was going to happen next. It combined military support, a secret government agency, advanced technology (including medical technology), and lots more. Part of the main story line was somewhat unbelievable. However, the …
Slightly science fiction, but more along the line of a military story. Enjoyed the characters and there was some good development. Worth checking out, and I’ll be looking for other books in the series.
Can be read alone, but is also kind of “read the next book to find out what happens” deals you see a lot here. Original and suspenseful.
Great book Terrific action and developing true understanding of the characters feelings.
Entertaining pulp fiction.
awesome
very good read
not going to finish/lost interest someplace
This was a great start to the series. I’ve already purchased book two and plan on purchasing all that follow.
Implausible but entertaining. Part military action- part science fiction, the three books in the series have plenty of action. The bad guys present some serious threats; the good guys are heroic albeit a bit over-the-top. The requisite romantic diversions feel forced and awkward. But suspend belief for a few hours and enjoy the construct.
