What if you accidentally fell in love with the right guy?Andy:If my life was a movie, I would be the sidekick. Not an especially promising start when my plan is to finally let my best friend know I have a crush on him. No worries, though. I have a plan. I just need a complete makeover. Change everything about myself so that when Falcon returns from his summer vacation, he can finally see I’m the … finally see I’m the love of his life. I totally know what I’m doing here.
Well, not really.
If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn’t look like every nerd cliché wrapped into one awkward package.
In short, I’m screwed.
But then Law Anderson enters the picture…
Law:
It’s all very simple. I need somebody to tutor my hockey team, and Andy needs somebody to help him with his crush. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
Only the more time I spend with Andy, the more I like this quirky guy who makes me laugh, and pretty soon I’m the one who’s tutoring Andy in way more than we initially agreed upon.
It’s fine.
I have it all under control.
But as weeks pass and the chemistry between us turns explosive, I’m starting to think that I might be in way over my head with Andy.
If only I could make Andy realize that he doesn’t need to change himself for love. If only I could make Andy see that he just needs to be with somebody who has considered him perfect all along…

It’s amazing how we see ourselves for Andy he has always thought he was nothing special but that can change when we see ourselves from someone elses eyes and that’s what happend after he meets and gets to know Law. Together they begin a journey of what true love can be if your willing to give it a chance. Really enjoyed this fast paced well written tale of discovery great debut for a first book well done Briar Prescott can’t wait to read your next.
I absolutely loved these characters and this book! Such a sweet story. It’s a quick, fun and uplifting read. Just the perfect thing for this quarantine life we’re all living right now.
The story revolves around college students Andy and Law. Andy is a physics major who sees himself as the quintessential nerd who needs to make a big change in himself if he ever wants to get his best friend Falcon to notice him in a romantic way. Law is a grad student and the assistant coach of the hockey team. Seven of his freshman players have failed physics and if they don’t pass during summer school they aren’t going to be able to play next Fall. So Law sets out to convince Andy to help him by tutoring the players. Andy isn’t interested until Law figures out that Andy has an unrequited crush on his best friend and promises to help him win Falcon over. Andy reluctantly agrees aaannddd, we can all figure out where this is going, right?!
The development of the relationship between the MCs is so nicely done. We watch Andy develop confidence and learn things about himself. We watch Law, who seems to have a pretty golden existence, struggle with family issues and career expectations. We see the way their lives begin to revolve around each other and how they both bring out the best in each other.
The ending is so wonderfully written and such a celebration of love that you can’t help but have a big AWWWW moment. Great epilogue too. It’s the perfect book for right now when we all need something low angst and high in hope and light.
