“Dark, sexy, and intense, Prisoner is an emotional ride that does not let go until the end. I loved it!” ~ USA Today bestselling author Kristen CallihanHe seethes with raw power the first time I see him–pure menace and rippling muscles in shackles. He’s dangerous. He’s wild. He’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.So I hide behind my prim glasses and my book like I always do, because I have … like I always do, because I have secrets too. Then he shows up in the prison writing class I have to teach, and he blows me away with his honesty. He tells me secrets in his stories, and it’s getting harder to hide mine. I shiver when he gets too close, with only the cuffs and the bars and the guards holding him back. At night I can’t stop thinking about him in his cell.
But that’s the thing about an animal in a cage–you never know when he’ll bite. He might use you to escape. He might even pull you into a forest and hold a hand over your mouth so you can’t call for the cops. He might make you come so hard, you can’t think.
And you might crave him more than your next breath.
“Sexy, dark, and thrilling. I loved every second of it!” ~ New York Times bestselling author Katie Reus

I didn’t care for it. The beginning was slow and bogged down.
Characters are shallow but good read.
It starts of good but was not a big fan of the story line in the end.
Loved it
Well defined characters, unexpected, a different look on life experiences.
A Wild ride. Love conquers!
Maybe I set my expectations too high…
I’m a big fan of Skye Warren…. But this combined work with Annika Martin wasn’t a home for me.
Yes, the story was dark, but it didn’t have any of the ‘what the f*’ moments I was hoping for. I also didn’t really care for the characters.
I’ll still read book #2 (Hostage), but I’ll be going in with my fingers crossed.
Thank goodness Prisoner was free.
I thought that it started out and it did not keep me wanting more
Very entertaining with interesting turns and twist.
Not as dark as I thought.
Actually could imagine something like this happening in real life. Not perfect romance but realistic and sometimes not pretty. Loved it!
Loved it!
I really enjoyed the twists and turns in the story. I couldn’t put it down.
I thought it was interesting and fun.
Loved it!!!!
It kept me interested
I read this book only because Hostage sounded good & I heard Prisoner should be read first. Now I am so excited for Hostage. This was so different. Loved the crazy ride.
you are actually rooting for the “bad” guys
Kept me awake at night wondering how it was going to end.
Couldn’t put it down. Nothing like I’ve ever read before.
