Prison In The Sky is a beautifully written book with exceptionally well-developed characters. This is a story of Marklus, one of the warriors we first met in the Four Worlds series. Ms. Ford has again shared her imagination and awesome story telling with us. Her vivid descriptions draw you into the story and keeps you turning page from beginning to end. I really really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This story begins in weary sadness, progresses
through fear and suspicion, continues with
adventure and danger and ends …you must read
the story to find out the ending.
Enjoy !!
A beautiful standalone novel about Marklus, who is one of the five warriors of the four worlds, and who in this story, which takes place right after the war against Sarhorr, the demon of darkness is won in the great water hole changes from Marklus the warrior to Marklus the healer. He wishes to return to his own homeland, Zikeland to restore this to life once again and heal it, but Crinte asks him to accompany him to heal the Mermis, the people who live in the sky. As he was the healer who stood between life and death he owed this to the Mermis so he went on what he thought was another adventure and being a Cron he always looked for these. However once they get to the land of the Mermis riding on the winged horses of the silver herd things are not what they seem and take a turn for the worse for both Crinte and Marklus. The description of the land of the Mermis up on the clouds is truly magical as are the Mermis themselves, ethereal beings so beautiful to behold. A wonderfully positive novel which I really enjoyed reading and did not want to come to an end. I wish it was part of a series in fact as Marklus as a healer is what any world really needs and we all need this type of positivism in our lives even if for just a while!
I read this book as a stand alone. Hence, there were a lot of things that were referenced that I didn’t fully understand. However, I did enjoy this book. It was a classic make you feel good book. The descriptions were vivid and it was an easy read.
I received an ARC so I could read it early, then bought the book when it was released, to help the author. Ms. Ford is a great writer; she paints very vivid descriptions and develops her characters so well that you feel you are a part of the story. The story is well laid out and progresses steadily; it is an easy read, and hard to put down. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it. Do yourself a favor and read all of Ms. Ford’s book – you won’t regret it!
ONE INTENSE ADVENTURE!!!
OMG! Talk about rocking this baby to its core. A whirlwind of unexpected events and surprising mishaps keep you flipping page after page. One rollercoaster with all the trials and tribulations that propels those swirling emotions bursting into play front and center. Angela totally nailed this bad boy 100% on point with one dramatic storyline and gripping plot bring this bad boy catapulting to life beautifully. Sparks fly as confusion, mayhem and suspense ensues in epic proportions. Drama, heart pounding, pulse racing, hard hitting wonder that force all the pieces together brilliantly. The characters are authentic, consistent and realistic with depth and qualities that make it easy to relate. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Angela, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Excellent book! I was drawn into the story from the very first page. The author has a way of making you really connect to the characters and feel for them. After reading this book I will definitely be checking out what else she has to offer. (I received this book free as an ARC from the author and am voluntarily reviewing it).
“Words said out loud brought a strange power and became closer to being true.”
Marklus (the healer) and Crinte (the wise) are back in a story of travel and courage that goes beyond expectations. Marklus must travel to Spherical, the home of the Mermis, an immortal race that is dying off. He is torn between needing to save them and letting them be at peace. What’s the best outcome here. And what about the budding relationship between him and Melair, the king’s daughter. Should he stay or go? Where does his heart lie?
We first met these two in Five Warriors Author Angela J. Ford can write the most beautiful prose, that at once inspires and then shakes the reader all up, confusingly presenting an adventurous love story. I’m a fan. Highly Recommended 5/5
