Princes of Avce 4-6 Box Set
Forbidden Duke
Forbidden Duke is the fourth book in the Princes of Avce by Victoria Pinder. This author has created realistic characters in a make-believe European country. Her characters are well-defined and well-rounded. The H is a royal who meets a down to earth commoner. Therein is the story. Both the H and h are attracted to each other and must find common ground to form a relationship. Past experiences shape them and they must learn to trust and be happy with the persons they have become. The H and h face other obstacles to find their HEA ending. Victoria Pinder writes an excellent story and makes you want to visit Avce!
Forbidden Earl
I will confess: I am a sucker for a Cinderella story where the the good girl marries her prince. Forbidden Earl by Victoria Pinder is better because it it said in modern times. Remington Burke and Cassidy Bright have known each other since they were children, and that’s not always a good thing. Immaturity of youth and memories often cloud one’s adult judgment of a person. This is the case in Forbidden Earl. As Cassidy discovers, just because she knew the Earl since babyhood, did’t necessarily mean she knew him as an adult. Each of them has a past and prejudices that threaten their HEA ending unless the two can resolve lingering issues. This is a romance with family drama and a bit of suspense. You do not have to read the Princes of Avce prior to the Forbidden Earl but it helps with knowing characters in this book. Victoria Pinder delivers a fast paced love story that I will read again. A 5 star feel good book!
Forbidden Monsieur
This story is about Chelsea whom you met in Forbidden Earl. From a young child, she was taught that it was her duty to marry well and take care of her parents. While she is beautiful, she has low self-esteem because up until this moment, she believed that beauty was her only asset and marriage her only option. On her way to Paris to meet a wealthy duke that her mother has chosen for Chelsea to marry, she is involved in an accident. Here she meets Alexandre Travers, the man her sister’s software has picked for Chelsea as her “true love”. As we know, the road to true love is rocky and Forbidden Monsieur takes this premise to heart. Chelsea must choose between marrying for money to please her parents or for true love with Alexandre.
This book is well-written and I love the growth that Chelsea makes from Forbidden Earl to Forbidden Monsieur. This author has never failed to entertain me with a clean romance and HEA ending.
Great collection of romance stories with international intrigue. Wonderful characters. Fantastic relationships. Delightful interstory situations.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily posted an honest review.
I have read all of Ms. Pinder’s stories in the Princes of Avce series as individual books and they are a fantastic read. Ms. Pinder is an exceptional writer and she knows how to write contemporary romances that tug at your heart strings. I highly recommend this box set. Here are my reviews of books 4-6 in this series. Enjoy!
“Forbidden Duke” is the fourth book in Ms. Pindar’s Princes of Avce series. The story centers on American Librarian Donna Smith who loses her job and decides to travel to Avce to watch the royal wedding of Prince Lucio and Amy Fields as an onlooker. There she has a chance meeting with Blackwell Oberlin, the Duke of Oakley who offers to take her to the wedding. Blackwell like all the other royals by Avce law must marry before his 30th birthday which is in a few months. The plot was different from the other books in the series in that there was no palace intrigue or real drama. Donna was on a quest to travel Europe and find herself after being jilted by her cheating fiancé. The entire story centered around would Donna marry Blackwell or would her insecurities get the better of her. Of course Blackwell had a back-up plan which caused Donna some angst but other than that it was basically a light romance with Blackwell wooing Donna and trying to convince her to marry him. I don’t like to give the detailed specifics of a story so I’ll just note that Pinder’s storyline made you route for Donna and Blackwell to work things out between them. I highly recommend this book and the series.
“Forbidden Earl” is the fifth book in Ms. Pindar’s Princes of Avce series and it is a story I really enjoyed reading. Lady Cassidy Bright is the IT manager who created the IT Computer program that found perfect love matches for all the Princes and Duke of Oakley. Remington Burke IV, the Earl of Sky is fast approaching his 30th birthday and must find a wife. Lady Cassidy and the Earl have known each other all their lives and don’t see each other as a love match. His grandmother however is very ill and her dying wish is for Remington to marry Cassidy. Before agreeing to her wishes he had sought help from the IT computer program to locate his perfect match but was refused that information. When he does finally find out who the computer picked he is totally surprised. I loved the storyline and could not put it down. It is fast paced, held my interest and mixes in some dramatic elements thanks to her meddling younger sister and his ex girlfriend. Ms. Pinder’s plot was very well written and even set the stage for the next book in the series. “Forbidden Monsieur.” I highly recommend this story and look forward to the next in the series.
“Forbidden Monsieur” is the sixth book in Ms. Pindar’s Princes of Avce series and it is the story of Lady Chelsea Bright and Alexandre Travers a French wine maker. Both were introduced in book five as secondary characters. Lady Chelsea’s father is an Earl with a gambling addiction and Chelsea feels it is her responsibility to marry for money and bail her family out of their financial problems. In her sister’s IT computer program that finds perfect love matches, Alex is her match but since Chelsea does not believe in love she ignores that information.
On her way to Paris to meet a Duc she is rear ended and crashes into Alex’s vineyard. Their relationship has a rocky start with both dealing with personal issues. Alex’s former fiancé left him for his best friend and Chelsea believes she is destined to never find love and happiness because she must help her parents. Chelsea and Alex were multi-dimensional characters which great chemistry. The story was wonderfully written and fast paced. It was so interesting I read it in one afternoon. How both addressed their problems made for a really good read. Ms. Pinder’s writing does not disappoint. I highly recommend this story and hope there will be more books in the series.
Forbidden Duke
Librarian Donna Smith dumped her cheating fiancé 2 months ago and now she’s just lost her job. Which means she’s free, so Donna books a flight to Avce to watch the royal wedding and a train to Italy afterwards. Blackwell Oberlin, the Duke of Oakley Woods, feels trapped by his duties and heads to the local tavern for a beer. Blackwell meets the beautiful Donna and invites her to accompany him the royal wedding as his date. Donna enjoys her date with Blackwell and after a one night stand, leaves for Italy. Blackwell needs to be married by age 30 or be banished, according to Avce custom. When Blackwell finds out that Donna is his perfect match, according to a computer program used by the royal family, he leaves for Italy to find Donna and convince her to marry him. Donna is surprised when Blackwell shows up in Italy and thinks he’s joking about marriage. Donna doesn’t think she’s a good match for Blackwell and has trust issues. Will Blackwell be able to convince Donna to marry him? What happens when Donna’s trust is tested?
Forbidden Earl
Computer programmer Cassidy Bright, Lady Cassidy, created a failproof matchmaking algorithm that’s helped the royal family find true love. But when Remy asks for the name of his true love, Cassidy refuses to disclose it. Remington Burke IV, the Earl of Sky, has only 23 days before he turns 30 and must be married. Remington’s grandmother Gigi’s dying wish is for him to marry Cassidy, who has always been like a sister to him and hates him. Cassidy’s matchmaking program says Remy’s her perfect match and she’s worried there’s a glitch in the system because he’s the last man who could be her true love. But not everyone believes that Cassidy’s right for Remington and will do anything to stop their marriage. Will Cassidy and Remington get a HEA?
Forbidden Monsieur
Lady Chelsea Bright needs to marry well to secure her family’s future which means a trip to Paris to charm the rich Duc Astorre Manfredi into marriage. Alexandre Travers has been retooling his vineyard for the last 5 years and is on track to be rich when the beautiful Chelsea comes crashing into his life.
