She didn’t believe in fairy tales… until she fell for a prince.Leia Lawrence never had a storybook childhood. Now? Dating… men… romance? No thanks. She’d rather stay in her tower of solitude.Trust didn’t come easily. At times she felt invisible, until her path crossed with the heir to the throne. He was nothing at all like Leia expected, far from the bad boy images painted by the tabloids and … boy images painted by the tabloids and even further from the rich elites she so despised.
Suddenly, it seemed fairy tales might be true after all. The stuff dreams were made of. Secret dates, illicit kisses and the promise of a crown and a heart.
But one passing moment could change all that. It could bring the press to Leia’s door, uncovering her secrets.
What would he be willing to do to protect her?
Could a prince choose a nobody, over the people of his country? Or would the threat of the Tabloid Princess bring everyone down once and for all?

Such a great story! Anna Bloom has done it again with her book Tabloid Princess. This book was such a pleasure to read. The heroine in the story Leia is a strong single mom working for a non profit. She works hard to keep her life private while helping others. When Prince Oliver chooses her non profit as his project, she is drawn to the playboy prince, no matter how hard she tries not to. She lives a private life with her daughter until Prince Oliver takes an interest in the beauty. Now she is the subject of all the tabloids who like to show the prince in a bad light. They begin a romance privately until she is discovered. Now her life is open to everyone and she worries that her past will come out. As she gets to know the prince better, she needs to decide if he is worth all the problems that like to follow him. I’d tell you, but I rather you read the book. It truly is an enjoyable story.
Thank you Anna Bloom for this sweet story. I can’t wait for more!
Leia is a girl that has overcome so much to get to where she is today. She is grateful for the life she leads and working for the charity that saved her.
When heir to the throne and Prince Oliver visits her charity she does not swoon. Yet this makes Oliver all the more attracted to her and boy does he prove to be swoon worthy.
Yet leia is concerned over her infaction with the prince and protecting her daughter and her last from being tabloid gold.
Great characters and depth. Amazing job by the author to address real life issues while keeping the idea of a fairytale love. Looking to read the next installment.
I received a copy of this book and I am volunteering to leave a review.
I enjoyed the interaction between Leia and Ollie. They came across as real (taking out the royal part) normal people. They had strengths, they had flaws and they had preconceived notions of what the other “type” was like. I have not read Anna Bloom before but did enjoy and would read more from her.
This book is a great combination of tropes single mom and a royal prince. Fun and witty this book is so satisfying to read. A total page turner. Add to your TBR list right now.
I loved very minute that I spent on this book. Leia has a lot of quirkiness but I completely fell in love with her. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
Sassy, funny, sweet – not your usual royal romance
When I saw that this author is publishing a new book and this time in the royal trope I couldn’t wait to put my hands on it. I was I won’t be disappointed. I didn’t have to think twice before I one-clicked it to have it on my Kindle. And let me tell you… I’m overjoyed I had a chance to read this. It was funny with lots of hilarious moments, sassy heroine a little bit of a klutz but lovable non the less. It has romantic, sweet hero and one fantastic little girl with her grandma that are two adorable characters that I couldn’t get enough of.
Loved every single minute I spent with them all, I can’t wait for the next part and I’m waiting her impatiently wondering how this all will unravel.
This books also touches few subjects that are very close to us living in modern society like poverty, psychical and physical violence, addictions and their after-effects not only on the addicted people but also on their families. But also the subject of the omnipresent journalists and paparazzi trying to haunt for the latest gossip, scandal without looking at the damage they cause. This all happens because we as a part of society want to know everything and cannot really give privacy to the famous people even if we want to have one on our own.
Great story, fantastic plot, awesome characters and as always flawless writing.
I am so blown away by this story. I just absolutely loved it. Prince and commoner fall in love and while in most stories they struggle with everyday problem like most of us, they struggle with just having a life for themselves. I have never really thought about those problems until now. It was refreshing to read something a little different. I’m in love this these characters and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next for them! Bring on the second book ASAP!!!
Impatiently waiting for Scandal Queen.
Leia never had a bed of roses childhood, being the daughter of an addict, she’s is a young hard-working, single mum, but she’s determined her daughter Daisy will be happy and carefree, and not have a string of strange men coming in and out of her life. So she stays date-free and single….Until Oliver, or should I say Prince Oliver future King of England. But he’s a noble and she’s just a mere commoner that would never be good enough to fill Cinderella slippers, a princess tiara and win-over the hearts of the British public, life doesn’t playout that way.
Can Prince Oliver be the knight in shining armour that proves love can survive anything?
Note: This book has serious issues about peoples lives being effected by drug and alcohol abuse, poverty, asthma and pollution in inner London.
Shes a marketing manager at Bright Futures, a charity organisation by day. Out of hours shes a single mum to a six year old.
Hes a true prince, who one day will be the King of England. He has obligations and duties.
The moment they meet the vultures behind to circle. Can they weather the storm to create the perfect fairytale?
This is romance at its finest it’s as simple as that!
How I swooned and sighed over the prince and the lengths he would go to for a bit of happiness.
Their worlds couldnt be any different, yet they were brought together for the greater good.
Leia could be me or you, that’s what appeals about her character. Shes simple and down to earth. The only true thing she lacks is a filter!
Oliver doesn’t have much freedom in the life that he was born into but his heart is crying out to love, and be loved.
They both deserve a shot at a better life, and true love that’s for sure!
Anna has once again produced a read that will take your breath away, give you a new book boyfriend and leave you desperate for more!
After reading tabloid princess, I now believe in fairy tales.
Oh, yes, yes, yes!
But no… How the hell do I review something so epic? I love and hate it when a book is this good that it literally leaves me speechless, and anyone that knows me knows that it takes a lot to shut me up, especially when it comes to a book I love. But then I get a book that knocks me on my ass, and completely blindsides me and leaves me speechless, which is what Ms. Bloom has done with Tabloid Princess… But I shouldn’t have been surprised!
I went into this book knowing I would love it, I have loved each book this author has published, and this one was just as amazing as her others, if not better! I went in expecting one thing and I got something completely different. Which either way wouldn’t have been a bad thing and isn’t a bad thing. Once again, Anna Bloom slayed and delivers a plot so addictive, so consuming and so enticing that I couldn’t put it down.
This story focuses on Leia and Oliver, and what a pair these two made!
Leia was awesome, she is a single mom, she was outspoken, she was witty, fun, honest, and not afraid to be herself and not afraid to voice what she believed in… She was someone that loved to help others and would go to great lengths to help someone in need, she lives a less than mellow life, trusting a selected amount of people and always putting others before herself. She has a past, she has baggage and there are reasons why she only trusts a selected amount of people. She truly was an amazing character, she hadn’t had the best upbringing but she had turned into an amazingly strong woman that loved her daughter and others around her.
Oliver? Well damn… Firstly, Oliver is a name I LOVE LOVE LOVE 😀 but oh how I loved him as the hero. He’s a prince, he’s charming, he’s sweet and he’s just perfect! He is about to turn 30 and is looking for a charity to be amongst his people and he actually wants to help, so when he goes looking for one he comes across Leia’s. The author didn’t write this prince in as being a snobby royal prince, he was truly a man who wanted to help.
Leia does not like Royalty, she doesn’t like anything to do with that world, so you can imagine what it is like once she is working with Prince Oliver. Oliver finds Leia intriguing, she isn’t like others, she isn’t out to impress him and she stays true to herself… Something The Prince isn’t used to. But as the book progresses, the couple does too. It is certainly not an insta love, it is more of a slow burn that had me flipping page after page.
I loved how the author played these two. They are complete opposites and at first, I personally didn’t think they belonged together but as it developed and they become closer, and that push and pull between the two of them only intensified, I found myself utterly obsessed with them and cheering them on! Ms. Bloom has that ability to write characters you can’t help but fall deeply for and she spared nothing with this book or these characters!
I expected this book to be the typical Prince charming kind of book, but it was SO SO SO much more. It was so much deeper than that and it hit some pretty deep topics.
As I neared the end of the book I knew I needed more, and I cannot wait for book 2, I cannot wait to see where the author goes from here. One thing I do know is that I will love it and it will be as epic as book one!
This book gave me all the feels! It was happy and fun in some parts and other parts it tugged at my heartstrings. If you are a fan of Tears of… series, I highly recommend this book!
Absolutely slayed it!
6 Stars, 5 is not enough!!
I have to say this book held me captivated from the first chapter! I love Leia her character is spunky, strong and so many other things I can’t find the words for. Ms. Bloom made this book believable and fun . I loved every conversation that Leia had with co workers Nana Bill and of course Prince Oliver. I was upset when I actually had to put it down to go to sleep. I would recommend this book to all of my friends. I’m eagerly waiting for Scandalous Queen. Thank you Anna for giving me the opportunity to read and review this Awesome book!
4.5 stars
Its no secret that I am a fan of Anna’s but I think this is my favourite read from her. Once you start this one you will be completely hooked as Anna engages her readers from beginning to end. She seriously gave me all the feels with this one.
If you love Royal romances then this is the one for you! Prince Oliver has taken over my love for Prince Harry <3
Leila is a single mum of the most adorable 6 year old, Daisy. I loved this girl with her sass and strength. She fights for what she believes in and loves helping others.
Oliver is the future King of England and about to turn 30. When he meets Leila when looking for a charity to help the connection between them is electric and so beautiful to watch develop.
I cannot wait to see what Anna does next with this series and Scandal Queen
*4,5-5 stars*
I’m still unsure how to rate this book but I’ve definitely loved and enjoyed this read! It’s also a story that makes you dream of something more, about a fairytale romance that seems to not always be out there for everyone but if and when you find it, it’s something worth fighting for! I loved the easy chemistry between Leia and Oliver and I am so anxious to read the next one ‘cuz I’m dying to know what happens next…
Leia has been through a lot and is trying the best she can to do the everything to provide for her daughter. She doesn’t have much time for anything else and doesn’t trust easily. When Prince Oliver comes into her life, there’s something underneath that makes her feel things she hasn’t felt in a really long time. Even though there seems to be something more than chemistry between them, Oliver is still a Prince and next in line for the Throne but you can’t deny with you feel and it’ll get harder for both of them to keep their distance. Will they find a way or will everything fall apart around them?…
Who doesn’t love a royal romance? I do. This book had me turning pages and unable to put it down. I loved the instant connection between Oliver and Leia along with his instant love for Daisy. It made Oliver even more swoon-worthy.
That cliffhanger though…
COME ON! Hurry ANNA! I needs to know what happens next!
Worth allllllll the stars.
This story was AMAZING there are many words I could say but I’d spoil it and it was that good I cant even form the right words
Anna writes stories that pull you in, they make you forget the world around you and that is why I love her words so much.
What an amazing book! I loved watching Leia & Oliver fall for each other. They’re story was definitely the slow burn book that I needed. I love how Oliver is impressed with how unimpressed Leia is with him. It intrigued him and made him want to get to know her better. I also loved how strong Leia was! She’s a single mom but does what she can to give her son the best life. GAHHH. This book just sucked me in from the very first page! I loved it!
This was my first read by Anna, something about the blurb for this book had me excited to read this, which is quite a feat in itself as the royal trope as a rule does nothing for me, once you’ve read one you’ve read them all, they all seem to be the same….. but something about this one really caught my eye….. and OH MY GOODNESS, I was not expecting this!!!!
I can’t remember the last time a story like this completely blindsided me, I mean totally….. I was so engrossed in the story, so invested in the characters and what was happening in their life (and so completely oblivious as to anything else happening in mine) that I just read and read and read, until I had finished, completely and utterly blown away and just well gobsmacked and stuck for words really. In fact I had to do a complete re-read the following day, I just couldn’t get enough!!! That has never happened to me yet in my reading lifetime, I have never had to do a re-read, so this was a epic read for me!!
It’s not your average Prince Charming read, it truly is a unique type of royal read, so very real in today’s society you can just picture it happening. The characters will just grab those heartstrings and do not let go, I loved them with a passion. But it’s not just the immersive story line, it’s the banter and the wit along with characters who you will fall in love with permanently.
Leia is our girl and what a character she is…. a single mum, struggling to bring up her 6 yr old daughter in London, working for a charity that stepped in and helped her when she needed it. She has had a bad life to start with, an unplanned teenage pregnancy and no one to turn to. She cares about others to a fault really, wanting to help those in similar situations to what she was in herself. Her personality is rather unique… outspoken, honest and funny, her dress sense being as unique as her personality. Her whole world revolves around her daughter, she has never had a relationship and doesn’t plan on doing so, always putting her daughter first. For everything she has been through in her short amount of years she is a remarkably strong and beautiful character, seeing the world in a very down to earth light, no frills required.
Prince Oliver, heir to the throne, well what can I say about him….. what an absolute hero this guy is…. charming, sweet, gorgeous, just yum!!! He’s been written as a very down to earth character, very much in the now without the associated snobbery that you would normally get with a character in this role. He is just about to turn 30 and is looking for a charity to make his, something that he can really care about and really get his teeth into. The charity where Leia works is where he ends up, and where their romance begins….
Leia turns out to be the opposite of everything Oliver is used to, which is totally refreshing for him, and gives him a completely new outlook on life really. Leia isn’t out to impress, she tells him as it is, no airs and graces, no sucking up… in fact she does her best to avoid him at all costs, unless it’s to give him her unique outlook on life, before she is usually dashing off to get her daughter. Oliver is more than intrigued by her, she gets under his skin and he ends up letting his guard down with her whilst in public…..
This is not an insta love romance, it is a slow burn, but it is totally compelling. As the romance grows you can see just how good a match they would be, even though they are complete opposites of each other. I really was cheering them on and hoping that things would go well. Emotionally it really did pull at my heartstrings in plenty of places, reducing me to tears in a few, laughing and swooning in other places, and feeling my ovaries explode in others!!! I have to say I do feel for Leia and everything she goes through with the press and how they reported on her, I got really angry with them and am quite glad not have to put up with anything like that in my life!!
This book was just so much more than I expected it to be….. this has to be my top read of 2019 so far, it is that good, and so completely unexpected!!!! The topics it covers are very much in the news today and hard hard hitting and deep. You really do get carried along on their ride in this fabulous fairytale romance feeling all the highs and lows along the way. Completely and utterly enthralling, breathtaking, heartbreaking, but full of hope that everything will turn out to be ok.
I simply can’t wait for book 2 to find out how everything turns out for them. 5 stars are not enough for this one, I can’t recommend it highly enough, not to be missed at any cost.
So much angst and dramatic excitement in one novel! It had me laughing, groaning at Leia while shouting at the phone, and almost a blobby mess of uncontrollable tears. Anna Bloom has herself a magnificent story here and I can’t wait for Scandal Queen to find out what happenes next for Leia, Ollie and Daisy.
OMFG, I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF NOW!
Tabloid Princess was literary perfection! So freaking GOOD.
You meet the lovely Leia – single mom, heart of gold, real, humorous and witty – and bear witness to her slow burn affair with Prince Oliver – sweet, sexy, smooth and grounded. *swoon*
Now, I’ll be the first one to admit that I’d hate a book with a snooty character playing one of our leads but this Prince is just so much more. More humble, more down to earth, more intelligent and more charming.
The two meet and the sexual tension and push and pull between them is palpable as you turn the pages. I was rooting for them all the way! It was an epic slow burn just waiting to combust!
Packed with banter, heat, detail, swoon worthy moments and a Prince that will knock you off your feet and the woman that piques his interest and owns him completely. Tabloid Princess is a stellar story not to be missed, written in this author’s beautiful, coherent prose.
I am absolutely aching for book 2 – Scandal Queen!
