She didn’t believe in fairy tales… until she fell for a prince.Leia Lawrence never had a storybook childhood. Now? Dating… men… romance? No thanks. She’d rather stay in her tower of solitude.Trust didn’t come easily. At times she felt invisible, until her path crossed with the heir to the throne. He was nothing at all like Leia expected, far from the bad boy images painted by the tabloids and … boy images painted by the tabloids and even further from the rich elites she so despised.
Suddenly, it seemed fairy tales might be true after all. The stuff dreams were made of. Secret dates, illicit kisses and the promise of a crown and a heart.
But one passing moment could change all that. It could bring the press to Leia’s door, uncovering her secrets.
What would he be willing to do to protect her?
Could a prince choose a nobody, over the people of his country? Or would the threat of the Tabloid Princess bring everyone down once and for all?

“I don’t want to be a foot wrong for you.”
Tabloid Princess was my introduction to new-to-me author Anna Bloom. I admit that the synopsis was very intriguing and I just had to read more.
Leia had me giggling immediately with her sass and lack of filter. She is 100% real and doesn’t hold back. I kinda think that’s what attracted Oliver as well. He’s so used to brown-nosing, bowing and scraping that he never knows what’s real. She’s real…but off-limits.
The forbidden aspect of this story kept me anxious and worried about Oliver and Leia. I wanted them to have a chance to explore their attraction for each other. But, damn, what a crock of chaos they had to avoid to even get a few minutes together. You’d think the fear of discovery would make it not worth the risk. But that’s only because you haven’t felt their chemistry. Yeah, just getting them in the same room together had sparks flying between them that even I felt. I can understand how all the details would get lost in their brain fuzz at being together.
I really enjoyed this peek into their lives and the mind-boggling hurdles they’d have to jump in order to be together. Not sure if I’d survive it. Not sure if they will either. The only way to find out if they do is in Scandal Queen, releasing November 28th.
Five stars! A modern fairy tale par excellence!
For the jewels of the crown’ sake! I have read a lot of Royal Romances before but Anna Bloom killed me instantly with Tabloid Princess! This book. Wow. I’m speechless. Words don’t want to come out easily to describe how much I freaking loved it. The story blew my mind and made my heart feel heavy inside my chest. The amazing characters stole a huge piece of my heart, especially Leia, a strong, beautiful young mother who didn’t believe in fairy tales until she fell for the heir to the British throne. And Prince Oliver who is the epitome of a complex, intense royal who seems to have everything but in reality he is missing something. They make a great couple.
Tabloid Princess is a modern fairy tale, a wild ride, real, raw and heart-warming. A roll coaster of emotions that make this book what romance readers’ hearts wish for! The pace is fast, the characters are utterly human and real, complex and intense. The storyline is brilliantly developed with the right amount of all the elements a romance book shall have. The plot is unique, refreshing with a lot of emotions and a lot of happenings that keep your eyes glued to the pages of this masterpiece par excellence. If I have to choose one word to describe how much I loved this book, it would be enthralling! Ana Bloom delivered a page-turning story that pulls you deep and fast!
This book has everything I loved in a book, especially a Royal Romance! The heroine is funny, feisty and smart. Leia is a sweet character and a strong young mother who despite of her past and baggage works at a charity that is close to her heart. She sacrificed everything to raise her daughter. Daisy is her whole life and she will do anything to protect and provide for her. She’s learned never to expect a fairy-tale ending in life until she meets Prince Oliver. A Prince who breaks the stereotype of a Royal. He is a Prince who cares and is willing to risk all for the woman who really sees him as a man he is. Both are from different worlds; she is a commoner, he is a royal. Leia’s reaction to meeting Prince Oliver for the first time deserves an Oscar! It was very brilliant and hilarious.
Working with the heir to the British throne will be a wild journey followed by the media and paparazzi! Explosive attraction, love and a secret affair which will turn into something more will create the perfect environment for a blooming romance that will consume everything that will keep you at the edge! Leia and Oliver’s story is powerful and beautiful.
This book gave me all the feels! I highly recommend it! Anna Bloom has that ability to write characters you can’t help but fall deeply for. She knows how to pull your heartstrings in the best way possible!
OMFG!!! WHAT DID I JUST FINISHED READING?!?! TABLOID PRINCESS by Anna Bloom…Blew My Mind Away!!
I NEED THE SECOND BOOK LIKE YESTERDAY!!! I could NOT Put This BOOK DOWN….Just wanted to know what was going to happened Next!!
It was Swoon-Worthy and the Rollercoaster Ride of Epic Proportions with its Twists & Turns was Jaw dropping!! A MUST READ BOOK!!
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!
Leia is single mom with a six year old daughter named Daisy. She works for a charity named Bright Futures. The charity helps people with drug, alcohol and other addiction issues. It is there that she meets Prince Oliver. Oliver isn’t like she thought he would be from the tabloid gossip. Oliver is kind, caring and the ultimate hero. I liked that this couple came from very different worlds but could understand each other. A great romantic read that I recommend.
awesome book and story line. Definitely kept me entertained and wanting more. I highly recommend it.
The book, Tabloid Princess is the first novel I’ve read written by Anna Bloom. This book was a page turner and hard to put down.
I understood where Leia was coming from in the story with forming a relationship with Prince Oliver. She never wanted to see Daisy have to endure the hell she went through growing into the woman that she has become. She’s willing to completely sacrifice her own happiness to attain that goal. Oliver has no problem respecting Leia’s wishes, thoughts and feelings. He is willing to push Leia a little to give their relationship a real chance to grow. Not to give up hope when the lives Daisy and Leia have known becomes unbearable and emotionally painful. I would love to see this pair survive the test of time and come out on top. I only hope with Leia pushing Oliver away to protect Daisy. That she didn’t destroy a chance at forever love for the three of them.
I’m not a huge fan of cliffhangers but Anna Bloom found a good spot to leave this story hanging. I’m impatiently looking forward to reading Scandulous Queen.
What a wonderful book this was. A refreshing modern fairytale full of heart, soul and pure emotion. The handsome Prince Oliver with a heart of gold the press just don’t want to see and his Leia, a commoner who isnt afraid to tell it how it is, has stolen his heart and for the first time allowed him to be himself. Two fabulous characters full of life, whose depth and emotion jumped off the page and made them seem so real. Plus a mini princess named Daisy, who nobody could fail to fall in love with.
Beautifully written, I’ve laughed, swooned and cried at the alternating heart-warming and heart-breaking words of this book as Ollie and Leia battle to come to terms with their growing, forbidden feelings for each other.
I absolutely adored Tabloid Princess and highly recommend you read this. Anna Bloom has written a true winner here and I can’t wait for the next part of this fantastic story.
5 beautiful princess stars
Leia is so sassy. Had me laugh from the begining. She is off limits but they find ways around their hurdles.
This book was AMAZING!!! Seriously it had me on my feet the whole time, I couldn’t put it down! I was disappointed when the book was over until I saw that there was going to be a SECOND BOOK!!! I can’t wait!! It was soo romantic and swoon worthy too! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance book!
Well that was a wild ride. I’ll be honest and admit that I kept putting it off because I knew that I was gonna travel down a rabbit hole and not be able to come back out once I was done. I was scared! I’m glad I finally took that risk though and opened it up. Now here is why I admit I only gave it 4 stars. Leia drove me bonkers. I know she had a rough upbringing and I know she was young. But she just couldn’t see what was in front of her and the happiness that she deserved. That they both deserved. She just kept seeing the tabloids. Even Nana admitted she was silly and was going to be lonely for the rest of her life if she didn’t stop denying everything. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked her and I felt for her but I wanted to smack her so many times! I loved Oliver and Daisy. Oliver was just so wonderful and sweet. You could tell he fell in love with Leia, even though he kept getting cut off when trying to tell her. And who couldn’t love Daisy. She was to adorable. Now I have to sit back and patiently wait for these two to get their HEA. I hope I can hold out! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
Wow – this book! Prince Oliver is so swoon worthy and I loved how Leia wasn’t a typical fan girl. This whole romance was thrust on her and before she knows it she’s embroiled in a secret affair. I cried my heart out at the last chapter and I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!
I received a copy of the “Tabloid Princess” from Anna Bloom in exchange for my honest review; and here it is. Like oh my God, I just loved loved this amazing story. That once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. The main female character to this story, Leia, is a speak your mind kind of gal. Which was refreshing to read about, and let’s not talk about the price himself, how he stands up for what he believes. Reading about the two main characters past and how it only brings them closer together; you can feel the passion they share to help the lest fortunate. How Anna the author wrote each part of each character only makes you feel you’re there with them experiencing what their going throw. I totally recommend you read this book if you’re into royal romance. The characters will captivate you and grip at your heart as you read along. Thanks again for sharing the opportunity to read and review this book.
“One kiss. A first kiss. Everything. Breath stealing. Heart breaking. Soul corrupting. It tore me to pieces.”
Tabloid Princess is a modern fairy tale that spun me under its spell right away. It felt real and raw, it was heartwarming and entertaining. This book has everything a romance readers heart wishes for.
“I might be a prince. One day I might be king, but beneath all that I’m still only a man.”
With captivating characters and a beautifully woven story Anna Bloom spins off the Tabloid Princess Duett that leaves you breathless. It’s a roller coaster of emotions and happenings that keep your mind spinning and your eyes glued to the pages. A page turner par excellence.
“Could I deny the prince of my heart, even if the cost was my soul…”
A story so fanciful but so wonderful, I loved it!
When Leia meets Oliver the future king of England she doesn’t hold back, says exactly what she thinks. In a way she reminds of Bridgette Jones! Leia had an undesirable upbringing and is also a single mum – a perfect match for a prince.
Prince Oliver…. Let me pick myself off the floor, has he tried saying Princess Tracey, I may come with 3 grownish kids and hubby but I can squeeze him in somewhere . Seriously his swoon-worthy, he might mess up a little here and there but in my opinion all for the right reason.
This book is no fairytale, well it is sort of, but with Leia’s life and work it brings up issues people deal with daily.
I’m diving into book 2 now as I can’t wait to see how this will work out, personally I think she would make a caring and compassionate princess, fingers crossed.
Tabloid Princess is the first novel that I have read by Anna Bloom. I am now a huge fan, and I can not wait for Scandal Queen to come out so I can finish this story.
Leia is a young, strong, single mom who grew up the daughter of a drug addict and many men in and out of her and her mom’s life. She is determined that her daughter Daisy will not grow up that way, so she doesn’t date. She works at the charity that helped her, and she loves working there and being able to help others like her. She has no filter when she talks, dresses eclectically, and is her own unique person.
Prince Oliver has decided that he is going to champion this charity, and comes to the office to talk to the staff. He overhears Leia say she doesn’t care for the royals and he finds her enchanting. She tells him the truth and like it is whether he is going to like it or not, and she makes him think and feel. He is very drawn to her, so much so that he lets his guard down, and the papparazzi capture it, and make Leia’s life crazy, as she doesn’t want her childhood coming out or Daisy to be hurt in any way.
Prince Oliver understands her feelings and thoughts, but is so drawn to her and wanting to be a normal person, that he is willing to push her to give them a chance. You feel the sparks and energy pulsing off of them whenever they are close. The way Ollie interacts with Daisy is enchanting and captivating.
Is this true love for Leia and Ollie? How does Daisy feel about the Prince? Or will the tabloids end their relationship before it really has a chance to bloom? You need to read the book to find out.
And we all need to read Scandalous Queen to see if they get their HEA? I know that I am really hoping they find true love with each other! If you don’t like a two part book or a cliffhanger, this may not be the book for you. This is some cliffhanger too!
I guess I have been living under a rock! Tabloid Princess is my first book by this author, and I loved it! I’ll be adding more of her work to my TBR shelf. Leia and Prince Oliver have made a place in my heart. I really enjoy when an author takes me on a ride and while I’m expecting one thing, we take a turn that has me holding on for dear life! If you are a fan of royals and their drama, this is perfect for you. But Oliver isn’t like any other royal and Leia is just like every single mom, trying to provide and get through life. I can’t wait for more!
I devoured this book!! This is my first time reading a book by the author Anna Bloom, but I can tell you it definitely won’t be my last!!
I couldn’t put this one down,,, Ollie and Leia completely stole my heart! And let’s not forget about the adorable Daisy!! Omg too cute!!
Leia meets the prince Oliver at her work, and although she tries hard to NOT fall for him, Ollie tears down her walls, and they both fall hard!
But with all the press now involved, and a devastating illness with Daisy, can it last??
This book ends in a cliffy, BUT it is SO WORTH IT!!!!! I can’t wait to read the next one in the series!!
This is the first book from this author that I have read and I enjoyed it. Oliver and Leia were such a great couple. The chemistry between them was really good. Fun royal and commoner romance who are really opposites but that doesn’t let them stop finding each other. This book does end on a cliffhanger so if you are not a fan of cliffhangers, then this is not the book for you.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Wow! I don’t know how I’m going to be able to wait for the next book to come out! Leia and Oliver’s story had me attached to my kindle. In the beginning I wasn’t feeling the attraction between them. That first time in the car when Oliver made is attraction known it all clicked for me. I was a little annoyed that Leia was so blind. The fact that she let him meet her daughter but yet was devastated that the world found out about him was nuts! Why go into this if you didn’t want to go the distance, especially when you worried about your daughter? I need Book 2 now!!
I was given a copy of this book by the New Adult Book Club and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
‘Tabloid princess’ is the first book that I read from the writer Anna Bloom. She’s totally new to me.
I will be honest here and say that the first time that I read the blurb I thought that it was another royal romance story. This genre seems to be popular at the moment but after reading a few positive posts about this book, I got curious. So when I got the opportunity to read a copy of it, I took it. And I’m so happy that I did because I loved every second of it and I can’t wait to read the next book!!
The story pulled me in from the first page and it held my attention until the last page. It’s very easy to read and I enjoyed every minute of it. In theory, Leia is no match for prince Oliver but then theory never deals with emotions, hope and longing and that’s what happens when these two people from very different statuses meet. Prince Oliver is surprised and fascinated with Leia honesty and no-nonsense attitude and Leia feels something that she has never felt before for a man. But she knows that a prince would never fall for a girl like her. But she underestimated the prince’s fascination (or his obsession) with her. And the more she tries to push him away, the more he pushes back to get closer to her. But they have to be careful, not only for the press who’s watching them but also for Leia’s daughter Daisy’s heart and feelings. The odds are against them but sometimes you have to follow your heart.
OMG! I enjoyed this story so much!! This story is told from Leia’s POV. I liked her character very much. She speaks without thinking, she’s honest, clumsy and I loved all that! She may be young but she’s very adult and a good mother for her daughter. The chemistry between her and prince Oliver was intense. Prince Oliver is a great character too. He’s the perfect mix of good, protective, patient, dependable and calm with a touch of glamorous. And he was so sweet to Daisy (Leia’s daughter).
The story does end with a cliffhanger. But I knew that before I started this story. I’m so looking forward to the continuation of Leia’s and Oliver’s story.
