Keaton Bridge is one hundred percent bad boy. Cassie doesn’t need a boy and certainly not a bad one. Nope. She fights crime for a living, and everything about this guy screams trouble, from his charming British accent to his mysterious past. And Cassie doesn’t do trouble.Keaton’s got his own trouble. He’s trying to go legit, and an FBI agent hanging around is the last thing that will help his … will help his credibility.
All it took was one night of passion to sear her into his skin. Now he can’t imagine living happily ever after without her.
All they have to do is walk away.
But neither of them ever walks away from a challenge.

One subtrope I enjoy and don’t get enough of: suspense/thriller. Reading Prince Charming checked off all the necessary boxes for this subtrope. I mean I really haven’t enjoyed a story in this arena since Sugar Bowl series from Sawyer Bennett. CD Reiss’ execution was perfect. I had no idea where we were going and how it was going to all pan out but it was a thrilling page turner.
Keaton presents as this secretive man. Who is he? Why is wanting to appear to go straight? Why is he risking it all for Cassie? GADS! I waiver for him between RUN and CLING tight. There was just ‘something about him’. Yes, as vague as that sounds you connect with Keaton and want him to get everything all the while not really know why you do. And Cassie. I love a strong heroine. This woman can bust balls with the best of them. She’s not a whimpering, simpering heroine. Nope, she’s got her own agenda and smart enough to get what she wants. But then her background is not lily white so now as a reader you aren’t really sure who is the baddest possible bad guy at all. But sincerely the kicker? It is Keaton and Cassie’s connection that seals the deal for the reader. It’s instant. It’s hot. It’s well-written characters how can’t keep their hands off each other nor can the reader off the book.
If you are a fan or a first time reader, you’ll find yourself in love with the worlds CD Reiss creates. 5 out of 5 stars.
I really enjoy reading CD Reiss books. Prince Charming is no exception, this book is full of twist and turns. I want it noted right here and now… I’ve memorized this “Dee-seven-four-nine-ex-four-two-two-eye” because I want to reenact that one particular scene when Prince Charming comes to my house! HOT HOT HOT!!!
Keaton Bridge is one sexy, hot cyber-criminal. He has put in his time and is now wanting to go legit. It’s not a simple task to go legit. One does not simply put in a 2-week notice. Plans must be made and this takes time.
Cassie has set her goals. She knows where she wants to be in her career and it doesn’t include a smooth talking, swoon worthy, man with an awesome British accent!
Next trip to Vegas, I am requesting the Penthouse with a view of the fountains so that I can re-create the Sexy scene!!!
Fantastic book that was written perfectly and flowed smoothly.
A brilliantly intelligent and scorchingly sexy romance that’ll have you on the edge of your seat…
I’ve found myself on a run of British heroes lately. Needless to say that I am one happy lady. Add to that the geek factor and I am in heaven! I’ve been in love with this hacker world since King of Code and Prince Roman only left yearning for more of this brilliant smoke and mirrors series. So, when Prince Charming hit my kindle I was happier than a pig in the smelly stuff! As with its predecessors, this book is incredibly complex and intelligible. Nothing is as it seems. I think that’s what keeps me coming back for more. I love that ultimately, I can’t predict where the story is going and even if I suspect it, I’m always second guessing my inklings. Let’s be honest, there’s not many authors who can have you second guessing yourself throughout a whole plot. I mean, just when you think you’ve got it sussed, bam! that plot twist gets you right in the gonads and you’re left feeling a little like what the hell? I hope that makes sense…
So, the plot for Prince Charming was brilliant. I can’t fault it. But then, that’s just a given with CD Reiss . She’s an incredibly smart writer. Yes, you are taken on a rollercoaster of intense emotions, but you’re also given a bulletproof plot. The writing is flawless, the story development is perfection and the rest is just natural. Organic. Nothing feels forced or out of place. Even the pacing is bang on the money. It’s just freaking beautiful. It really is a written work of art. A masterpiece. I was invested in this story from cover to cover and, even once it was over I did not want to put it down.
I really couldn’t get enough of the characters. I’d been dying for Keaton’s story since King of Code and it did not disappoint. Like the plot neither of this characters are predictable or one dimensional. I loved that Keaton was an alpha man and that he was very British in his manerisms and attitude. Quite frankly, at times he was more British than a lot of British men that I’ve met! He’s regal and eloquent and he has this gorgeously breathtaking aura about him. Saying that he has a dirty mouth that could melt even the strongest of chastity belts dissolve. He’s just so freaking hot…his brain, his body, his mouth…and all the other parts that’ll have you ooohing and aaahing. This guy had me crossing my legs pretty much from beginning to end! Like wise Cassie is a strong heroine. Strong of mind and will, even though she hasn’t had an easy past. She’s just so resilient and she really is a heroine that will leave you in awe. I just loved this twosome. They are perfect together, from their chemistry to their brain power…you would not want to mess with these two!
All in all Prince Charming was a brilliant addition to this series of standalones. If you loved King of Code , you’ll enjoy seeing Taylor and Harper, and if you haven’t read it yet—you will be dying to by the time you finish this book. I feel like this is the gift that keeps on giving and I just cannot get enough!
4.5 Stars
Keaton Bridge is a character that was first introduced to us in Christine’s book, King of Code. And while you do not have to read that book before you pick up Prince Charming, I am really anal about reading books in order, especially when I know a character was in it. I do that so that I can get a feel for them first as a secondary character, how they act, what they say, how involved they are in someone else’s story before they get their own. It also ramps up my desire and excitement to read their book, because I already kind of know them. Whelp, in this case, I didn’t really know anything at all about Keaton Bridge!
Keaton has been living life in the shadows, rumored to be an infamous black hat hacker that the FBI has been trying to catch for years. Enter Cassie Grinstead, young, beautiful agent who is trying to work her way up the ladder and grab that coveted title of Special Agent. Both Keaton and Cassie have a slew of secrets in their past that they have kept closely guarded. Until they meet and quickly figure out that they want to share those secrets with each other. Except it’s just not that easy. First they have to build trust in the little bubble they’ve created.
Cassie has never been attracted to a man enough to allow them to be anything more than a temporary sidepiece. Her grandmother is constantly reminding her of how she has to break the curse that has fallen on the women in her family, the curse that has left every woman before her as a single mother. She is absolutely convinced that fate isn’t going to fall on her. Then she meets the infamous Keaton Bridge. He’s supposed to be the target of her investigation. But the more time she spends with him, the more convoluted everything becomes. Because the guy she gets to know intimately certainly can’t be the guy in that huge dossier the FBI has on him.
Keaton has been living a life of lies since he was 15 years old. Even his closest friend, Taylor Hardin, doesn’t know the real truth of who Keaton is. But once Keaton meets Cassie, he realizes that he wants her to know who he really is. But that is practically impossible, because he has too many targets on his back, enemies that he doesn’t want to ever find out how much Cassie is quickly taking over his heart.
Christine fills this book with twists and turns. Like Cassie’s grandmother who is obsessed with puzzles, we are fed this puzzle piece by piece until they finally all click together and we get to see the whole puzzle and what is really going on. Sometimes it’s hard to get a clear view of the puzzle piece, oftentimes being viewed in a dim light, but by the end, the picture it creates is beautiful. The passion and chemistry between Keaton and Cassie is off the charts, the allure of a forbidden romance between the agent and the criminal was explosive and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
This was a book that I had to really concentrate while reading. It is obvious that Christine did a lot of research for the story. I have to admit, as I did while reading King of Code, that a lot of the computer stuff goes straight over my head. But that wasn’t really the focus of this book. For me, the focus was really how these two people who were set on specific paths, take a long look at their lives when they realize maybe those paths would be so much better if they traveled it together as one.
Another fantastic read from Christine! I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in White Knight!
Never has a hero been so aptly named
Keaton Bridge is a shady guy trying to make his way into the sun. A black hat hacker and all around mystery man, we first met him in King of Code. He was Taylor’s secret backer, childhood partner in crime and a right wanker at time. I really loved that about him – the wanker part. Thanks to that – mostly, thanks to the money that seemingly materialized out of nowhere part, Keaton finds himself in the crosshairs of the FBI, and Cassie Grinstead in particular. Ambitious and brilliant in her own right, Cassie has problems of her own. Sidelined to a backwater field office and trying to out run her upbringing, Cassie’s libido takes control of her brain when Keaton walks into her interrogation room, and all bets are off. Cassie suspects that Keaton is an infamous black hat known as Alpha Wolf, who can lead her to the worst sort of nasty characters on the dark web, and out of her dead end assignment. Keaton is just plain suspicious of Cassie.
That’s how their courtship begins – on a firm foundation of deceit, suspicion, gamesmanship, and a panty melting British accent. And that’s why Cassie and Keaton are my favorite Reiss couple. Their courtship is the caper. Not tracking neo-nazis on the dark web or any of the other nefarious schemes Keaton is seemingly involved in. They’re equally, perfectly matched, down to the fact that they’re both thinking with body parts other than their brains when they first meet. Secret for secret. Skill for skill. They’re playing cat and mouse with each other and their own feelings until both of them start listening to their hearts. The sexual tension between these two burns white hot until it turns into a love that’s incandescent. Nothing can separate them. Not oceans or time. Or…
The writing, as always is superb. The prose is musical. The wit is razor sharp. The sex scenes sweetly lascivious, but always with a core of emotional truth, no matter how dirty they get – and they do get DURRRTTY. All things you’ve come to from a CD Reiss book are here in spades. YOU CAN’T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. Ms. Reiss especially shines as she deftly choreographs an emotional story arc for Keaton and Cassie that is both tango and waltz. Equal parts fiery, consuming passion and swoony, captivating romance. Loving them and investing in their hopes for a happily ever after is easy. I loved every single thing about this book. The emotional truths. The Nana. Taylor Harden as the love Jedi. THE WAY IT MADE ME FEEL. Simply put, it’s the hottest courtship I’ve read in ages.
Chivalry came back with a roar, thanks to Keaton Bridge, handsome and charming as the devil himself. He will sweep you off your feet. I guarantee it.

So in love with this book. Love Keaton. Love the story and writing. Didn’t want it to end. Love CD Reiss’s books they never disapoint always amazing to read
I loved this captivating, shrewd, and very sexy, cat-and-mouse romance. Cassie is a smart, ambitious, and determined, FBI agent. She has brought Keaton in for questioning, trying to get a break on a case that could get her the promotion she wants but eludes her. Keaton is intelligent, charming, and sexy and he sees all her secrets. When they accidentally meet again months later they are helpless to keep their distance. They begin a secret affair that is hot and sexy but also sweet and romantic. Cassie has a past that she is trying to overcome and being in law enforcement has always been the redemption she dreamed of. Keaton is surprised by his attraction to Cassie. He has lived a private life, without getting close to even his best friend and business partner, Taylor. Cassie has gotten in his head and could destroy all his careful plans. Their sexy games are intriguing, and seductive. As Cassie gets closer to the truth that Keaton keeps so well guarded, her life is more in danger. This thrilling story with twists and turns will keep you engaged and guessing right to the very end. I loved both Keaton and Cassie, they were so well matched, challenging each other, creating explosive chemistry. Narrators Megan Tusing, and Shane East were perfectly cast as Cassie and Keaton. They absolutely nailed these characters with their ability to convey the depth and complexity of the emotions both Cassie and Keaton experienced. I was so invested in their performance and in these characters, that I was totally captivated from start to finish. I really loved the ending too. It was funny and sweet and totally satisfying. There are a few questions left for another story and I can’t wait for more in this series!
Let me start by saying the narration by Shane East was simply fantastic as Keaton Bridge, voice as smooth as warm honey. Megan Tusing also did great job as Cassandra…kudos to her male voice. That being said, I had high hopes when I started this book; great premise for a story, interesting topic. However at times the characters fell flat to me and the book just came to an abrupt end. This made it a good read, but not a great one.
This past week I read King Of Code and Prince Roman, I couldn’t wait to read about Keaton. I thought he has this whole international man of mystery thing going on in King Of Code. This one did not disappoint! I absolutely loved Cassie and her badass self. Keaton and Cassie together are not only great together but they had some seriously hot sexy times too. I loved the suspense, the action and the plot twist too. The epilogue was so perfect. Now I’m really looking forward to Chris and Catherine’s story!
I have always enjoyed books by C.D. Reiss and this was no exception, however I did have a hard time getting into the story and am wondering if I should have read King of Code first even though these are standalone books in the series. Keaton and Cassie’s story is an interesting dynamic of good/bad and right/wrong, but you can’t help who you fall in love with. I liked the mystery and intrigue and look forward to reading more in this series
I always enjoy a good romance sprinkled with some mystery and suspense. When I pick up a CD Reiss book that happens in such a remarkable way every time. Her writing draws you in until you are fully immersed in the world she has created.
In this book, there are a few books that have been linked together in such a fun and unique way that is very much different from others. Her writing is passionate and Suspenseful, while being fun and flirty at the same time. In Prince Charming, the story that unfolds before us is that of Cassie and Keaton. Ohhhh Keaton Bridge. Where to even start. He’s a very attractive and dominate personality, who is also British. When you weave any character into a book with a British accent, I’m a goner. He’s smooth and deductible, while keeping his identity hidden from Cassie. Cassie is an FBI agent on a case that she thinks will link Keaton to it in one way or another. Keaton is an alleged hacker and con. But the story between these two is so seductive that you forget he might be the bad guy and she might have to bring him down.
I love that we not only see the story of these two, but get to catch up a little with some of our favorite other couples from some of Christine’s other books. Seeing where Taylor and Harper are now as well as Chris and Catherine, is always a fun twist to through into the suspenseful romance’s that I fall in love with from CD Reiss. Getting a glimpse into past couple’s current predicaments is just a fun addition to stories, and it used so well in Prince Charming. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure will be for any of these couples as well as where her mind will take us next.
I didn’t feel it. It was well written, but I didn’t feel this unbelievable attraction, I felt I was told about this immense attraction, but I didn’t feel it.
I read Taylor and Harper’s story and I wasn’t sure I liked Keaton. He’s a complex man with a simple desire. He wants Federal Agent Cassie. Once he’s spent time with her, he needs more. She suddenly is making his complex life even more complex. Or perhaps, much simpler.
Cassie is convinced he’s a criminal of the first order. Their attraction is criminal! She wants him but can’t have him. Maybe once…or twice. She needs him. Arrest him, use him as an asset, spend time with him. It’s all so messed up, the personal and professional lines.
There’s so much more to the man. He’s truly an enigma. He appears to be this hardened, aloof man but in reality, he’s passionate and…tender? His secrets reveal the man within. I want my own Keaton!!
I will absolutely be doing a re-read of Prince Charming on audible!!
Prince Charming is perfection! Keaton can work me over with code all night long! Gah he is absolutely de-lish!
These characters are everything! Cassie is the ultimate strong heroine. Raised by her Nana who is a hoot. Keaton may be trouble but I was swooning from the second he opened that delectable mouth of his. British accents get me every time but there is something altogether different about this man – whew he is on a level all his own. His thoughts, his protectiveness, his desire. Had me ready to beg for more. Their sizzling chemistry – the pull they both feel – wanting what they know they can’t have. Their pasts – both so complicated. This storyline is so relevant and incredibly entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Suspense – the most exquisite torture. Secrets – kept me guessing to the absolute end. The way the events unfold is fascinating with every chapter more titillating than the last.
I say every new book is my favorite and her best writing yet – Prince Charming is no exception. I want to shout how much I love this book! I could sit down right now and read it again. That’s how phenomenal this author is. I have been enraptured with Christine’s writing since I one-clicked Spin about 3 years ago. I have been captivated by her immense talent for creating these amazing, relatable characters, unique and complex storylines ranging from Mafia to Hollywood A-List to Marriage Games and now to MI6 and FBI. All impeccably written with such attention to detail in every beautiful, expertly articulated paragraph. Waving my fan-girl flag loud and proud!
Let me preface this review by stating that you do not have to read King of Code to read Prince Charming. If you did read KoC then you already know who Keaton is and ready to dive in.
I loved this British hottie from the very beginning, but I have a serious girl crush on Agent Cassie Grinstead. Can she uncover the many secrets of Keaton? Will she jeopardize her job due to the mutual attraction? Well that’s for you to find out.
Ms. Reiss always has a niche on writing some hot alpha men, yet she also writes some independent strong women as well. I can never get tired of reading any of her books and Prince Charming is no exception.
I really like the dynamic between Keaton, the enigmatic criminal and Cassie, the take no prisoners FBI Agent. These two are so complex, believable and charasmatic. As their story unfolds you root for their HEA from the get-go. There is enough suspense and mystery to keep you turning the next page to find out what happens. Definitely a book that will keep you awake until you finish it.
Brava! CD Reiss! You’ve got another winner on your hands. Congratulations!!.
Prince Charming by CD Reiss is a magical mix of spy, intrigue, danger and romance.
FBI Agent Cassie Grinstead dreams of advancement to Special Agent with Criminal Investigations and a ticket out of Doverton.
“Cassie reaches one hand over me with her wallet stretched open with her fingertips. She’s closer. I can smell her. Vanilla and gunpowder. My God. She’s made of candy-coated bullets.”
When Keaton Bridge who is suspected to be super hacker Alpha Wolf is brought in for questioning, the chemistry is immediate and off the charts.
“When he looked me in the eye, I went to DEFCON One. Code Red. My body began staging a bloodless coup while my mind lost its flank support.”
Cassie has to weigh the dangers of getting involved with Keaton. She runs the risk of losing everything she has worked hard to accomplish.
“Are you single?” It shoots out of my mouth before I even filter it. “Still not sleeping with you,” I add when he looks at me. His eyes don’t wander away from mine, but I feel naked again. “Just asking.”
“I am single. And I promise, you won’t do much sleeping.”
I am so in love with this story. The romance was swoon-worthy, the danger was constant and exciting, and the writing, like poetry drew pictures for me. I was left with a book hangover and all I want to do is read this story over and over.
5 Stars!!
Prince Charming delivers on all cylinders; it keeps you on your toes. It’s edgy and suspenseful, sexy and thrilling. C.D. Reiss takes you into the world of hackers; are they a necessary evil? Asset or liability?
Keaton Bridge is more than charming; he is enigmatic and has a big heart. He makes you feel wanted and secure. And Cassie? She can certainly hold her own yet her emotional vulnerability makes her so human and relatable.
I love all their scenes, together and apart. Keaton’s mind is a beautiful thing, so deserving of the right attention.
And Cassie’s grandmother deserves an honourable mention, she is one tough but loving cookie!
Love Prince Charming!
I adored Keaton and Cassie’s story! Prince Charming can be read as a stand alone, but if you have read the King of Code or White Knight, you get a bit of the back story with some on the characters. I have been an advocate reader with Reiss books and I am hooked. Cassie is ready to take on the hackers and move on up with her career. Then she meets Keaton and it is on like donkey kong! No seriously! My Kindle steamed up quite a bit with these two. 😉
These two characters try to stay away from each other. You ever heard the term, Sleeping With The Enemy? Yeah, that is these two in a nutshell. The only thing different is the bond that keeps the passion alive is unnerving and Keaton can not stay away.
I love the sexy and the mind boggling scenes. CD Reiss will make your head spin a few times and the drama will make you hold your breath. The ending was unexpected and I was rooting for Cassie to finish the game. I am excited to see what else Ms. Reiss will bring us. I love her stories, but Keaton has molded himself in my heart!
Keaton Bridge is a mysterious & dangerous man. But is he the brilliant criminal mastermind the FBI thinks he is, or the charming & debonair businessman he shows the world? It’s agent Cassie Grimsteads job to find out. All she knows for sure is that she is captivated by the alluring Brit with the devilish smirk but no traceable past. And Keaton is fascinated by the beautiful, ambitious agent with a shady past who is no stranger to a con. Equals on every level and blindsided by their attraction, the two must decide what is more important, their hearts or their lives.
This well constructed story is full of cat & mouse intrigue, heart pounding suspense and steamy passion. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the Alpha Wolf and his Artful Dodger.
